Then they told us they were tied, but they were not tied balloons, and then when we brought the balloons and took them out of the bag, they all went up high in the ceiling. The next day I stopped in for a gift card and used self-checkout, as I always do, for a debit transaction. The machine allows it. An older employee stepped into my personal space and started telling me what to do. I made clear I didn't need help; he ignored that and took over the machine himself. Self-checkout plainly supports debit purchases, including adding funds to a video game gift card, the system wouldn't offer it otherwise. it's not some random employees decision, the self checkout doesn't matter...If staff understood their own equipment, that interaction wouldn't have happened. I'd rather see the team focused on keeping the store in order than on directing customers who are managing fine on their own.

And, just like in Germany, you'll need to bag your own stuff at the wall counter after checkout.

I understand that they know the way things work at this store, but as a first time customer, I don't. If I don't have a positive experience, why would I come back? Even if the prices are less for some things than other grocery stores in the area. I can't even say that it's such huge savings that I would endure having to keep a quarter with me in order to even get a shopping cart to use. Not to mention, the strawberries were moldy with huge white mold growth. The way the shelves are built and setup feel very bare bones and budget. The bags didn't even hold together to get my groceries in the car much less the house.

Fourteen months ago I started eating carnivore and although I was already buying my meat here I feared that a carnivore diet was going to be too expensive. I found that not only are the prices very reasonable but that I can buy a variety of animal proteins that I enjoy, like turkey thighs, duck, along with chicken parts. I have found that I spend considerably less eating carnivore than I did when I was buying vegetables. I have been very pleased with the quality of the meat and the prices over all at the store. The people who work here are also kind and helpful. The people in the meat department recognize and greet me. They have so many different cuts of beef and I often ask questions on how they need to be cooked. When I have asked other staff for the location of an item, they stop what they are doing and escort me to the location, which on several occasions were on the top of the shelf and being disabled it is hard to stand and reach things when sitting in a mobile cart. My only complaint has been that often the mobile carts are inoperable, and it's very frustrating not to be able to shop when there are 4 to 5 mobile carts sitting there that don't work. Thankfully they have gotten them repaired and purchased some new ones but they still need to be more diligent in making sure they are plugged in when not in use so it is charged up for the next person.

I have tried the berry chantilly latte from Whole Foods, and I thought this was good. You can still taste the coffee. But I guess berry chantilly matcha depends on the ratio that your server mixes that day. It almost tasted like cereal milk. I also got some bakery items! They had some 50% off apple and cherry pies. Quality and Prices 5/5: for a convenience store the prices are very affordable. Service 2/5: every single time (and I go a lot and at different times) there's a huge line and only one cash register open even when there are 2 or 3 employees. I mean open a second register just for crazy lines and then just keep the one open. Cleanliness 3/4: the floor gets pretty dirty and sometimes with mud. I understand there are many people coming in and out but if they have 2 employees who are not working the cash register I'm assuming they have time to mop? Summarizing- I really enjoy having this Circle K around the corner. Extremely convenient. I just hope they manage the long lines a bit better. I will be back a lot regardless lol!
