At the risk of being a broken record, QT is the best convenience store chain for everyday life…read more Sure, the Beaver is a great place for road trips, souvenirs, and all things Texas. But for clean stores, fair prices, great drinks of all sorts, and really good snack options -- even after hours, QT is the best. Stopped in late Wednesday night and I was as impressed as usual. There's plenty of drinks. The store is well lit. The store is clean. The staff is beyond friendly. The snack bar is closed, but there's plenty of great stuff on the roller grill. (FYI, the steak and cheese taquitos are stellar.) The condiment area for the roller grill/snack bar is spotless -- and stocked. 2 taquitos and 2 fountain drinks for under $6. What's not to love about this place?

I easily found what I wanted. At the register I was greeted, just like I expected from a QuikTrip. And the employee was easily managing the checkout of customers from both sides of the register. I was in and out very quickly. This location is directly on the toll road, so I noticed that the fuel pumps were busy. They are spaced well apart. Also, the pumps are far enough away from the store to allow cars to get in and out of the store without any interference.

No more waiting in long lines to get to the pump on your side. Just pull up to any available spot reach around if you need to and get on with your day! The gas prices are ALWAYS cheaper than any station around. Even if I didn't make a single in warehouse purchase, the membership would have paid for itself within just a few tanks of gas.

I have a like/hate relationship with this Costco. I like the fact that it is 10 minutes from my…read morehouse. I hate the fact that I always seem to have some kind of avoidable issue when I am there. It is always busy so I can understand the staff trying to move things along, but they don't even give you a chance to breathe and start scanning things whether you want them to or not and on two different occasions, I have been overcharged. Then you have to wait for a manager to come to give you your money back and then you have to stand in line and show them your multiple receipts because the accounts don't add up. The whole thing is just really frustrating. When it happened the first time I kind of rolled my eyes and said OK it happened. The second time I was like this is crazy. I had gone to self check out with nine items and promised my 11-year-old that if he came with me to Costco, he could scan the items with the little scanner gun. Before we could even scan the third item, the self checkout guy came with his own and started scanning. I politely said we were almost done, and I had told my son that he could scan. He looked at me and kept scanning and then touched the screen so fast that I couldn't even see what all had been scanned. I had no option except to cancel the transaction or pay. I paid and then when the receipt came out, I had magically been scanned for 12 items. I only had nine which you could see right there. Watch your receipts. I've had this happen twice back to back. Also, why on earth are they so slow with their pizzas? Sam's Club has it down. They have a standing oven with many hot and fresh ones where you can just grab them check out and go. At this particular Costco it looks like a mosh pit of people waiting for their number to be called. I'm not sure if I will renew my membership. I may just suck it up and pay the Instacart fees and have delivery done because the headache, hassle, time wasting, and incompetence has really become a bit out of control .
