The customer service here is amazing. Their membership is worth it even if it's a one time shopping thing for you to take advantage of that discount. If you're worried about privacy, you probably shouldn't have any social media account since you already have all of that away. You can shop with their app inside the store & it makes it super useful. Almost like using target circle at Target. It gets crowded so be understanding of long checkout/fitting room lines. H&M sends multiple shipments a week so when you ask there probably won't be some stuff saved in the back but it will most likely arrive within that same week. In that situation, try shopping when the store just opened since almost everything will be replenished. Overall, for an H&M that is so heavily trafficked even on weekdays, the customer service is excellent. They do the best they can with a short staff. It was my first time going to H&M in IRVINE. A good friend invited me to check out the retail store for a great sale event and she also added that the quality of product lasts. So I Tagged along and went with her (who happened to be an avid H&M supporter) Store was pretty neat! A great place for mothers or elderly to shop! Why?, wide space to walk and pass thru between racks of clothes, customers with big strollers or even with a wheelchair is not a problem. Area of Sale Racks is were i stayed, marked down clothes are 75-90% off and hunting for my size was unlimited! Awesome! So far everyone was friendly and nice! Gone to the cashier. Guy said to us "Just give me a Sec!" One of our friend said the "sec is up" but instead of the cashier laughing with us. He gave us the snob (That's not funny) look. He ran out discounted purchase $39.99 +tax but we responded why is it not $10 as per the other employee and we found the dress in the sale rack. He asked us what's the name of the employee, we can't recall and he started flickering his gas and advising us next time we come we have to remember the name of who told us and help us so they can be responsible and he kept on saying that we should know name.. So I asked for his name, for we are making him responsible for ruining my review for H&M. I had so many good thoughts about the place but as like everyone says "it only takes one bad apple" blah blah right? DISGUSTING. Social distancing and masks are NOT enforced. I had to return a gift that was purchased online. They would only offer to let me exchange it for an item in store or have the money sent back to the OG purchaser. It was a gift, and it was CLEARLY not safe to shop in the store. I have been losing faith in H&M lately but this location restored some of my faith. Unlike some other H&M locations, this one has men's clothes AND not just a tiny little corner (cough cough Forever 21 cough). Of course, being a guy, I always think the men's section should be more substantial like in New York or San Francisco but this is not bad. Prices are holding steady. Keep 'em down there H&M - that is what you are known for - European style clothing at a good price. Oh, and H&M never disappoints with shorts for men. It is very difficult to get shorts that fit me because of my long legs and refusal to wear shorts that don't go below my knees. Every summer, I can count on H&M. Small and quaint. I'm a sales section girl and usually H&M stores have a great selection of sale items. This one didn't. In addition, twice had I price checked items I pulled from the sale racks at the register, and they were non-sale items. The staff, however, is kind and helpful. Especially at checkout. H&M fans' heaven! You can live there :-) This is a huge H&M Store. It is definitely the nicest H&M store in the OC. I've been to both H&Ms in South Coast, the one in Brea, and Irvine Spectrum and I'd say this is bigger and nicer. Has both female and male clothing as well as kids and teenage stuff. They opened one week before memorial day and it has been crazy since day one. There was a long line outside the store on memorial day. They were giving out coupons and gift cards for their grand opening and the gift cards were from $10 to $300. YES, that's right, $300 gift card. Its crazy!! You can find a lot of stuff for $4.99, nice swimsuit, shorts, tops, etc. The other good things about them is they are open until around 10pm on weekends. read more

My rating is for H&M stores in general not just this particular location. I have yet to see what the hell is the big deal about this store. The clothes are reasonably priced but the quality is crap. Most of the shirts are paper thin and the stitching on the shorts are shoddy. Whatever sweat shop they were made in needs better quality control. The clothes are ugly to boot. I wish there was a way to give negative stars to this store. I went to return a pair of earrings that I bought with the $6 wrapp coupon. The lady who helped me (short bright red hair like a clown, mid 20's, 5'4" ish, heavy set, lip ring?) was the rudest person I've ever encountered. She said that I could return the earrings, but I would get $6 less. What? Why? That doesn't make sense. My transaction was over $18. I explained that I paid good money on that entire transaction so returning the $6 earrings would leave a balance of $12...which H&M should honor. There is no good reason why I should return the earrings and basically not get the $6 credit for it. HELLO my transaction was $18! She continued to say that I basically got the earrings for free. NO I DIDN'T. I bought $18 worth of stuff that day and got a $6 credit on the entire transaction. She's just assuming that the $6 applied to the earrings and not the other items I bought in the same transaction. Things escalated for no good reason. Was she having a bad day??? Anyway, I proceeded to defend my situation and said "had I not told you that I used the wrapp coupon, and returned the item without a receipt, all would be ok and I would just get store credit for $6." She got pissed at that point (why? I'm not sure). She then gave me major attitude and told me that I can return the earrings without a receipt, but I'd automatically be placed on some blacklist (is she making this stuff up?!). "If you did this enough, you would never be able to return anything ever again at H&M." Ok, even if she wasn't making it up, she didn't have to give me attitude and make me pay for her bad day. Anyway, she's a punk and should not be allowed to work with customers. H&M may have saved $6 by not letting me return the earrings, but this review is costing them a customer who spends an average of $$$ with them annually. I hope that their lack of discretion when hiring people to represent the company in the stores, will teach them the consequences of BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. It was hot, I was thirsty, my feet were on fire, my arms were going to fall off holding a million bags and I just wanted to go home until I miraculously stumbled upon H&M at the Block this past weekend. It's located where the old Hilo Hatties used to be, so you know the store will be huge. Upon entering, my troubles went away as I was greeted by the cold, crisp conditioned air running across my sea of sweat. I quickly got settled in and saw that they have a large selection of clothes both for men and women and in my opinion, appears to be like a hybrid Express, Banana Republic, Gap, Old Navy, and stores alike. I wasn't even drunk and my gay side started to show as I skipped with joy across the many sections H&M holds. A major turn-on are their affordable prices. I got a nice tank for $6 and the material was soft on my skin. Another turn-on are their various styles and selections available. Not that I want to show off my guns and I am utterly not gay, but they carry extra small sizes for us little guys. Score! You can also pick up a free H&M fashion magazine stationed at every entrance. A minor turn-off along with the affordable prices is that you may see a lot of people wearing the same gear as you in the coming months. Adding to this negativity is the crowd. It gets very congested in here and there's no formal line when checking out, but that's probably caused by their grand opening rush. So if you're looking to be fashionably in at prices that can't be beat, visit H&M at the block and you'll be in for a treat. read more

I've always liked the selection at this H&M, as well as the store layout. I was really surprised by the low rating this location has. I noticed some people complained about the employees attitude so I decided to put them to the test ;) I recently bought a sale item at the Brea location, but realized too late that it was a size too big. So I called this location to see if they could help me. When I called, I was immediately transferred to Mela (in my experience, retail businesses take forever to transfer or even forget to). Mela had a great customer service attitude. I didn't have the style number ready, so she allowed me to simply describe the item to her! She was very patient and didn't rush me off the phone :) I could tell she was trying to help a sista out to find the exact item I desperately wanted to purchase! I didn't even have to wait a full three minutes before she gladly reported that she found the item I wanted, in the size that I wanted! Not only that, she allowed me to place the item on hold for the rest of day as well as the following (just in case I didn't make it before they closed). I was very pleased with the customer service! There was 2 cashiers, we were waiting behind a person that is returning clothes for like 10 mins, a cashier opened up another line and decided to take only people in line in the middle and isnt making herself a new line. Very unfair because she saw us waiting for awhile and does not tell us to go to the line in the left like the other cashier. I think its ridicilous, the other girl just took a few people and left... Man H&M, you put a big big BIG dent in my wallet! But it's okay... I forgive you because I got exactly what I was looking for and more there. I've been to a lot of H&M's and this one is by far the best one! It's huge and there's a lot of clothing selections here. I came looking for full suit for work and ended up buying 3 different suit outfits! What I love most about this place is how they actually have ALL their sizes there for you to try on. I hate how I go to some H&Ms and they only have super large sizes left or just a few sizes to choose from. This place is fully stocked and neatly organized. The only downside is that I wish the people working the fitting rooms would have grabbed sizes for me when I was trying stuff on. The employees at the other H&Ms I've been to have always offered to get different sizes for me which was really helpful. It gets to be a hassle having to change back into your clothes to go out and grab a different size. Another thing I noticed was that this H&M has a fitting room item limit. The other H&Ms I've been to don't have a item limit for their fitting rooms. However, even with these issues, I still give this H&M 5-stars since I came out with exactly what I was looking to buy and got more clothes on top of it. On vacation and excited to spend money at this H&M Outlet! Came with my daughter and we both were ready to shop. Walked in and was not greeted by anyone. Tried not to let that bother us even tho we heard a few workers greet other shoppers that were around us! I really enjoyed the deals they had on this day thus the 2 stars for that. Had a worker follow me around the store so I ended up approaching him and asking him if he wanted to hold my items at the register. I hate that feeling of being followed or not being serviced because of my appearance or what ever reason it was on this day! Definitely not my favorite H&M. Pretty big store since it's at an outlet, but damn it was really messy. I mean, I've been to the one at the Citadel Outlet which is more big, but they were pretty clean and organized when it was super busy. It was also my first time to this H&M at this location too. CUSTOMER SERVICE: **Sucks! I was waiting in line for the fitting room and my bf was on the other side of the rope to wait with me and one of the workers like yelled in the most rude way, "Can you please move, you can't be blocking this area because we're going back and forth. THANK YOU." I'm like bitch, tone the eff down. Like she literally yelled at my boyfriend. I know they're busy and all, but she didn't have to be so rude. I didn't catch her name, but I know she was Asian and had glasses and looked sort of like a boy. But dang, they should know retail stores can get busy and they should able to know how to work under pressure, but I guess this girl didn't. **At the register, it was a-ok. The girl who helped me out also seemed like she was in a rush to the point I started feeling rushed for no reason. And the line wasn't even that long.. STORE LAYOUT **horrible! So confusing from each room to the next! Everything seemed out of place and nothing was organized. It looked like no workers tried to organize anything for the past few hours. Gave me a headache. I used to really like this store but it became very played out. The concept was originality meets casual and for very low prices. Now they sell out to Beyonce and David Beckham and they're all fancy shmancy. The children section might be the only part worth looking into, though. I'm very short so some of the "14-16" year old clothes fits me. Surprisingly enough, I found some decent things on sale (a barret, v neck, and tube top) for $17 (tax included). Not bad. read more

My all-time favorite place to shop for clothes! The Block location is my favorite because it has the widest selection for guy's clothing and seldom to I come to his location and leave disappointed...or empty-handed :D What I love about H&M is that the clothes look very high end and fancy, and the prices do not reflect there attire. I dropped $70 on a cardigan at H&M that looks like one i could buy from Macy's for almost double the price. I get to look good and save on money, which is always a plus. All and all, I always end up coming here first when I need any new type of clothing. I like to look good and save some dough and I believe H&M is the best place to do that. They are always putting new clothes out each month, so I like the continuous change in variety. Choices are always essential when it comes to clothing! read more

Can't really say H&M is cheap anymore, as the company increases its expansion to this location at The Block their prices have also seen increases. Quality has stayed the same though, still cheap almost see through material for the shirts and the workmanship on the seams of pants seem to be lacking, but you're still paying about 30% less than a comparable store brand. Personally I would pay the extra cash and hit Zara for better quality shirts but when it comes to everyday duty shirts, either button up or v-necks that re rather disposable, H&M will still be my first choice. The staff are always running around avoiding eye contact with you lest they have to actually answer a question, when you come out of the fitting room the attendant yanks the clothes out of your hand so fast without even bothering to ask "did anything work out?" Or SOMETHING at least generic that makes you feel like a person with a purpose rather than a cow that's part of the herd. I came here on a whim, after catching a movie at the AMC on a Sunday afternoon. The customer service is average here. The associates are just so busy running around I waited about 15 minutes to get escorted into the dressing room. While I was changing, I hear someone ordering the associates to check if everyone is in a room, twice. Then I get a knock on my door telling me I had to have a number on my door. Umm...the associate is supposed to put the number of items on my door. It's on the OUTSIDE OF THE DOOR. I'm standing there half naked telling the guy I have 2 items, 2 items, 2 ITEMS. I know it's not the guy's fault that the previous guy forgot to do it, but seriously? I felt harassed. I did not buy anything after that. I get that it's busy at this location, but I don't feel like it is managed well. All the associates are super busy and stressed out, which makes the customers stressed out. read more

I'm not sure if this location is better than Crystal Court, but it's alright until you get to the register. It's typical H&M - the clothes are all over the place, they are not ordered by size, and they have a million extra smalls but very few larges. There was ONE girl working the registers and THIRTEEN people in line. Another employee was FOLDING SWEATERS right by the register. I politely asked her if there was anyone available to help the LONE cashier. She reluctantly went to the registers and then the line started moving. That was pretty unbelievable. I spent over an hour looking at clothes and trying them on. I found four or five things I wanted to buy. When I got to the ridiculously long checkout line I literally had to reevaluate my situation - DO I WANT THIS STUFF BAD ENOUGH TO WAIT IN LINE FOREVER? If I didn't really NEED some of the stuff I had picked out, and if I hadn't spent TONS of time trying stuff on, I would've dropped it all and walked out the door. For sure. read more

Not a huge selection--I always end up with a solid 3 or 4 well-fitting items though. Plus size is not existent so if you are over a true size 10 (I know that sounds ridiculous) you may want to bottoms shop elsewhere. I'm a 12 and their 14 was a struggle to get into. However, the shoes are cute, accessories are cute; coats and over things are always yas; and their bras are fabulous! Best bra I have I got from there. I've literally given up on this location. It happened again to where the fitting room attendant refused to let me try on even though the store was still under operating hours. I had and employee help me with jeans and fill and entire shopping bag full of shorts, I get to the fitting room, they say we're closed already-get this, it was the SAME fitting room attendant. The manager then is seen running around like a chicken with his head cut off yelling in the middle of the store "we're going to close the registers in 5 mins so come up here to buy your things". It was pretty ridiculous because not everyone could hear him from standing in front of the fitting room. As a retail manager, I would have never done this to the approximately 50 customers still left in the store. That's when you have your employees *politely* approach each customer in their zone and give them notice that the store is closing and if they have a giant bag and you SPENT TIME helping them find jeans, maybe walk them to the fitting room so you don't miss out on a sale. Doesn't surprise me though as I never get greeted when I walk into this location and it's like the employees are trained to NOT approach/make eye contact with you whatsoever. Also, consider staying open until 8pm like every other store at this mall, especially since it is summertime and all the other stores are on summer hours. Horrible customer service! I've seen very cute kids and babies clothing at the store. So I decided to do my X'mas shopping for my friends' kids here. Despite the store was a mess and half of the merchandise were on the floor, I was able to pick out 3 sets of outfits for a baby, a boy and a girl, at total of 6 items. By the time I got to cashier it was about dinner time, and the line wasn't that long. So I asked the cashier if I could have 3 boxes. She said "no, we ran out of boxes.". Then I asked if I could have 3 gift receipts. She said "no, we don't do gift receipts." I was like...ok.... Then she started stuffing the clothes into a large plastic bag. So I asked, don't you have paper bags? She said "no." Then I asked well, can you at least give me 2 extra bags for gifting? She said "no, it'll need to be 3 separate transactions." How stupid is that! Should I return the items, and ask her to do 3 separate transactions in order to get 3 plastic bags? It's not like I'm only paying $5 for an item. Everything was at regualr price. Com'on! I get better service at supermarkets! Bad store management, bad employee training! They are trained to say "NO" to the customers.
