The employees were professional when my wife and I visited this location. However, the fitting rooms should be separated for men and women, especially since they only use curtains instead of physical doors. The men's fitting room needs to be fixed immediately to prevent women from having to share it. There are too many creeps nowadays. I bought several work pants and had them altered for them just to fade after washing them. I called the customer service line where they refused to give me gift cards or replace the pants. That was a lot of wasted money for these pants to fade color. I will never purchase anything else from them plus I plan to do a review in my YouTube channel. I've bought clothing before but never experienced fading like this plus these were worth clothing so I needed them. They lost a customer and I will spread the word how they treated me. read more

I normally don't drive this far out just to get a shirt at H&M but after Fashion Valley location told me about the item availability, I came here to find out. Thank you to Modesto to take the time to look for my item, and even called a few stores from UTC La Jolla to Otay Rach to El Cajon, I guess I can't trust the H&M app on any items, but I should have called the store before coming in. Visited this place recently. I guess I don't go much to the mall anymore. I'm so shocked that this stores fitting room is male and female now. I'm not comfortable with this. This is not acceptable. With all the weirdo around how can we be in same fitting room area. Wat if ur teens are here and some pedo. And it's only curtains not an actual door that u can lock. I wish I could give no stars. I just had, yet ANOTHER, unpleasant experience here. I had some items I wanted to exchange but knew that they were all on different orders so I tried to make it as simple for the cashier as possible by just having them type in the items numbers instead of searching for the purchases on my member ID. Her & her cystic acne then spent the rest of the time sighing loudly & acting like I was inconveniencing her. Once I asked my husband, "Is it just me or does it seem like everyone who works here has a f**king attitude." Her attitude became noticeabley pleasant. My previous experience, I tried to return an online order because the dye job was butchered. The manager, an older Asian gentlemen, had to help with the return & pointed it out. I told him that was the reason I was returning it & then tried to act like I hadn't noticed until he said something... once I raised my voice & asked him wtf he was talking about, he processed my return. This place is always messy, the dressing rooms are always disgustingly dirty with dust bunnies all over. For being a student they offer 20% discount, I've been coming to this h&m for years and have never had an issue with showing my school ID. The lady checking me out took my ID and was about to give me the discount when another lady came and said no I have to show my app that I'm registered. I have the app, but have never had issues with just showing my ID. The fact that the "manager" had to come and teach the lady about how to verify is alarming. How are you training your employees H&M and especially for this manager to tell me no everyone here knows how you're suppose to verify, and clearly they don't because the lady ringing me out just took my ID. I love the clothes they have for kids especially the Mickey Mouse gear he'll be wearing to Walt Disney World. Glad i didn't have to go to the Disney store to buy him clothes. If I could give this a 0 star rating I would!! I cannot believe the treatment I just went through while being at this store. I believe this interaction happened with the store manager/manager of some sort (don't understand how he is a manager since the way he treated me was absolutely ridiculous!!) I had asked him for help looking for a certain size and he had let me know that they no longer had the size I was looking for so I thanked him and walked away. As I was walking away I heard him call me a derogatory name which consisted of the words "stupid" and "b*tch" I'm absolutely APPALLED at the way customers are treated at this location and I will never be coming here again! I hope this employee gets the punishment he deserves for being cruel and disrespectful to customers who were cooperative and understanding! read more

This may be my go to spot for everyday wear. This store seems larger with more selection then the Otay Ranch location. I found items here that were not available at Otay Ranch. The men's section seemed to have more things in stock and more stuff on sale. This place is a definite yes. read more

I agree that this is the busiest location out of all San Diego. Maybe because they have awesome sales? Maybe because they have more variety on selection of clothes? Maybe because they're located in an awesome mall? Either way, I always frequent this place and I always find something. They have clothes that fits from babies to mature adults. I can be basic and buy a hoodie or be fancy and buy a trench coat. Just depends on the whether and occasion. Always expect long lines but the registers move in a decent speed. But the dressing rooms take longer, they need to expand. But overall, I like this place. read more

Horrible!!! Disorganized!! Messy!!! Sloppy!!! Chaotic!! I normally enjoy shopping at H&M stores because their Quality of clothes is definitely better than Forever 21. However I will never be shopping at this location again. They are soooo understaffed. I was in line for 25 minutes just to check out. The only had one cashier station open with 3 cashiers ringing customers up. Ludicrous!!! This H&M ridiculously looooooong lines. They even have cash registers in the men's division, that they refused to open. That's deplorable customer service. Actual how can you even call that service? Sometimes you just went to get in and out the store. The aisle were messy, filthy, full of debris and clothing. This is one of the worst H&M I have ever been in. It was like shopping at Ross!! This H & M lacked the variety that Otay had, but most of this review comes from one lady who made this experience unfulfilled. I went with my boyfriend because he needed some shirts and the lady in the dressing room was downright rude and scowled at everyone there. So it's just common sense to know that somebody wants to see what their sig other is trying on once it's on and so I go stand outside the stall and immediately the lady screams, "YOU CAN'T GO IN THERE!" Yeah, obviously! You think we're going to do the dirty in a dirty store? I'm sorry, I have the mind set of a classy lady unlike you. Afterwards my boyfriend came out after trying on all of his clothes and he gave her a white shirt and said, "this shirt was really dirty" and she just snatched it without saying sorry or anything. Anyways, when we go up to the front we wanted to complain to the manager so we asked the cashier if we could and wow, did he seem scared. So it turns out this rude lady in the dressing room was the manager. How awful. If you're just going to the mall to shop at H & M, I suggest the Otay location, it was more organized, the customer service was better, less crowded, and you won't have to deal with this awful woman. read more

I'm not sure what to say other than: It's H&M! Everyone who's Anyone know H&M (LOL). This store stands out because its in a good location. IE: surrounded by affordable stores (unlike the new Fashion Valley) and it's in the beautiful, easy to get to (unlike the "toll road" otw to the Otay location) Plaza Bonita. This location usually has a variety of sizes in stock and the employees are very helpful. Angelica is truly Angelic! I called the store to see if they had a jacket in my size in stock. She was able to locate it and put it on hold for me with just a description! No style or item #! I would prefer to drive a little further and go to this store even though the Fashion Valley one is closer. read more

The store itself is nice with a good selection of business, junior and kids clothes. However, everything is disorganized and very crowded. 10 people in line for the changing rooms. And really long line to pay. Not about to wait that long. I prefer going to Kohl's where it's rarely ever crowded and if there are lines, they're about one person long. read more

This H&M in Plaza Bonita is divided into Ladies, Mens and Kids. The fall collection at this store leans towards the conservative and offers none of the bold, striking cuts and colors featured in the H&M magazine (you could pick one up for free at the door) or their website. Don't expect to see the much-coveted Comme des Garçons collection here, either. But I got some sweaters for work - 2 for $20! They're these long-sleeved sweaters with dickies attached. This location may span over three stores because they have a men's, women's, and children's section, but the selection in their women's section has to be the worst of all H&Ms I've ever been to! I like going into this location due to the fact that it is inside the mall. The only thing that I can say about here is that they can get and might as well put more clothes on sale because there are a lot of other competitors nearby that are selling cheaper stuff and our quality. I like some of the clothes, I like the kids department, but really it's an unorganized mess. The hangers even get all caught up in one another. My main complaint is that I've been here twice and BOTH TIMES I've been overcharged. My fault, so I should be yelping myself. First time I was charged $7 for a $5 advertised shirt. No big deal. I didn't notice it until I was home (15 miles away). Today I went and I'm so stupid I could kick myself! I didn't check and when I get home I realize I was charged $7 for something I didn't even purchase. Bogus. I'm not spending $10 in gas to go back but it really irritates me a) because I was negligent and b) the people working behind the counter were too busy jabbering away to watch what they were doing. Dear Plaza Bonita H&M managers and district managers, What happened to the H&M at Plaza Bonita? What a hot mess of organization. I hate to be blunt, but I just had a poor shopping experience tonight. Went to find an outfit for my son and could barely browse through the clothes before clothes from adjacent racks would fall to the ground. Your floor merchandise is overstocked and visually unorganized/crowded. It's good to have a variety of sizes, BUT only if it's organized. When you pull a piece of clothing off or try to browse the sizes, at least several hangers of clothes fall to the floor. If you look around the floor, clothes are in disarray and fallen off hangers. I wish I took a photo of the mess your store is in. It's a shame because you have the cutest clothes! I was able to find at least two pieces and would have purchased more if items were more organized and easier to find. I just wanted to leave because it was challenging and frustrating to find sizes. The check-out area is also in disarray with stacks of socks and random items for sale in bins, without prices listed. What's the point? The items looked used. My son even picked up an opened/used lint brush from one of the bins. Much last minute/impulse purchasing can be had if this area was made more appealing to buyers. I have visited several other locations, including Parkway Plaza and Otay Ranch, which are not in such disarray. Plaza Bonita USED to be organized, but sadly, not anymore. 2 stars for cute clothes and reasonable prices. Maybe hire more salespeople or close the store early to get organized? I'm sure much merchandise becomes damaged or lost from this lack of organization. read more

On a typical visit to the mall I was ecstatic to see those gorgeous H&M shopping bags in the hands of many other locals. I have been to the Chula Vista location where I prefer the sales tax but the H&M Plaza Bonita location is gorgeous. Everything is arranged wonderfully and there are so many options to choose from. I've visited during the week and weekends to have the conditions never be a problem (ie. never a long register wait, fitting room wait, etc.) The only negative I've came across is some of the pieces on the manikins not being available for purchase. I have become an H&M addict and will continue to get my fix at this upcoming fashion spot! read more
