While their online experience kinda sucks, with unclear email notifications and incorrect inventory lists, my in-store experience has been great! The staff at this location are on their game! They fulfill in-store pickup orders blazingly fast and mark them accordingly so I get the crappy notifications from their website that something happened with my orders. When I have to call to confirm, because those crappy emails aren't clear which items are ready, the staff answers the phone promptly, politely and know exactly what I'm asking about so I don't feel like a complete idiot for calling. My visits to this store have also gone well. The staff have been helpful locating in-store items I could not order online, despite the crappy search capabilities of their systems. additionally, the staff I interacted with have been friendly (not stalker-like; following me all over the store) and are quick to check inventory and open the dressing rooms for my daughter to try items. I wish shopping with my teens was always this simple. This store and their staff make it a pleasant experience for my family. Thanks!

Since all the children's place stores have gone out of business this is the "closest" to me and by…read morethat I mean it is a 30 minute drive of 17 miles away from me. I made the mistake of coming to this store on 2/14/25. I had no idea where it was in the mall (my bad they do have maps I just didn't check them) so I walked the whole length of the bottom floor and the whole length of the top floor dragging my 8 year old and dad who was visiting from out of town. The store is on the second floor near Macy's. I came to this store to return some of the items I bought online. I ordered my kid a 10/12 and they freaked out at how "big" they were. I didn't want to deal with reordering them so decided to return them. I had 5 items to return. The clerk told me a total and it seemed right. I got my receipt "emailed" (spoiler alert it never came!) and since I parked by Macy's I exited the mall. The whole time I could not figure out why the numbers seemed off to me. Once I got home I checked and even though I returned 5 items they only gave me money back for 4. No big deal right? Except they kept the 5th shirt. I had already schlepped down and back to this mall no way was I going again. I went online and filled out a customer service form. Waited the weekend, heard back they will give me my money back. Said it would take 3-5 days. Waited 3-5 days. It never came. Decided I am done with this company and drove down there again to return all the items from my order as I do not want to support a company that steals items and money from people. Second return went fine. I got money for all the items I returned. The store is super crowded (with stuff not people) the 2x I was in there within 1 month there was no more than 2 employees and never any one else shopping. Their clothes are cheap because they are low quality. The leggings and shirts are practically see through. I did keep one shirt sized 10/12 and it shrunk up super small (I washed it on warm permanent press and dried on low heat like I do any other new items purchased and have never had this happen). I will no longer buy from this company and thankfully because of that will not have to drive to this location again. I now have to do a charge back to get my money back since the store kept my item, did not refund me the money, corporate did not refund me the money. You get what you pay for (or don't) so beware.

Athleta is one of the four main brands that Gap owns (Gap, Athleta, Old Navy and Banana Republic), and as a result, their customer service and return policies have always been solid. I also appreciate that Gap is based in California. I popped into the Fashion Valley location today, with the intention of looking for for some summery casual pants and possibly some new t-shirts. The store was nicely organized and the displays were welcoming. Sally provided excellent customer service from start to finish as well, and I was very impressed with her upbeat personality and kindness. Thanks for being a day brightener, Sally! I tried on a couple of things, and decided on some cute black pants with a white stripe. Super comfortable and flattering on. The other stuff I tried on was either cut a little weirdly for my shape, or too small. But, I'm happy with my pants. Athleta tends to be a little bit less costly than Vuori & Lululemon and not as pretentious, although their prices still skew on the higher side for athleisure in general.
