Upon entering the store I was hit with a wave of pungent perfume. Once I regained my composure, I realized I was in a sea of white women; many of whom were radiating real "Karen" vibes as they say. We looked around for a while; none of the employees greeted us once, apparently, they'll only say hello if you're at the cash register. We even looked at items directly left to the registers and I looked over at them and they looked at me as if I was a vagrant. That's kinda funny considering I was wearing a very expensive jacket & had several hundred dollars in my wallet. In the end, they didn't have what my mom was looking for, so we left. I'm glad we did because throughout our shopping experience, I heard numerous customers make snide remarks about people in California and how they "need to go back where they came from" Bigotry has no place in Idaho!

She asked if she could help us and we said yes that my cousin was looking for dark denim jeans with no distress, faded nor rips in them. She took us to the section where the pants are located and started to select several pairs to try on and she took us to the dressing room where my cousin could try on the pants. I waited outside of the dressing rooms in a comfortable chair. I have been to several Torrid stores in the Bay Area in California and I have used their dressing rooms. None of them were as nice and as spacious as the Torrid in Boise, ID. It had a three fold mirror that customers could step out of the dressing room and see themselves from different angles while anyone accompanying the customer could sit and wait and/or watch as the customer showed them how a potential outfit looks on. The salesclerk, Shree, was awesome! She continued to bring other pant sizes and options when the first pair of pants didn't work for my cousin. Then when my cousin said she was thinking of getting a bra, Shree offered to select a few bras for her to try on. Shree even stepped inside of the dressing room with my cousin after asking if she could enter to measure my cousin for her bra size. It was a good thing that she did because my cousin's size had changed since the last time she bought a bra. At the same time as Bree was helping us, she also set up dressing rooms for two other potential customers to try on clothes. She also catered to those two women bringing them various dresses that they were looking for. Shree was good at multitasking and making each customer feel like they had her individual attention. In addition, to ringing up customers who were ready to make a purchase. All done with a cheerfulness that made our shopping experience positive. She provided excellent customer service. I was immediately greeted by Sierra, who was so kind and helpful. She measured me and listened to what my concerns were and what I wanted in a bra. She got me a few recommendations and checked on me after each try-on to discuss what was and wasn't working, even getting me a new size after we decided the initial try-on was too big and brought several other styles for me to try. I came into VS after a terrible customer service experience at a different store, so Sierra's help had a huge positive effect on my experience and my day. Two other employees checked on me during my time in the store and they were so kind, I just didn't catch their names! I had a wonderful experience and am so happy I went home with a new comfortable bra that fits just right after 7 years of wearing only sports bras. Thank you!

Well, in the washer the wires that fasten the bra together totally got messed up after one wash. I came back to request an exchange and they said since I cut off the tag they couldn't help me. They also said they couldn't look up my transaction in the system, even though I have worked in retail for 6 years and I know you can always look up a transaction. Its Christmas time, and I thought asking kindly for an exchange since I am a loyal shopper and I simply cant use these bras would maybe cause some sympathy and kindness from the store. Wrong. I am not shopping with VS again.

Friendly, but not overly annoying friendly service which I personally appreciate. Lots of fitting rooms and when I went you could just go and try on your clothes without doing an item count and having to talk to anyone (again I personally appreciate, but some may not). I'm an independent shopper and don't like to be bothered. Selection/variety is good, not great for men. Could be better for women and children, I can't speak to that. They did offer to order online anything they have there not in your size with free shipping so that is good to know. Lots of stuff on sale as you would expect. P.S.I deducted one star because there is no free WiFi and also no public restrooms. These should be standard in 2018 at all business. No excuses there.

Every so often they have a spend $50 today and get $25 off your $50 purchase at a future date. If you go plan to go back, it makes your purchase that much better! The Village at Meridian has been such a great addition - it's brought in so many great stores, including this one. The location is a big plus for me as it's not in the mall but a shopping center around the corner!

We go to American Eagle every year to see what kind of dress we can grab my daughter for her birthday. We snag a few during the summer but we needed something fresh for her upcoming birthday dinner. I am always greeted by the nicest sales associates on the floor! One of them greeted us, asked what we were looking for and directed using to where some of the dresses were located. We checked out the new fall dresses and weren't really into anything so we headed to the sales racks. We found a couple potential pieces and wanted to try them on. We got a room by one of the sales associates. I appreciate that they grab the customer's name to make it more personal. He got my daughter's name all written down and told us to holler at him if we needed anything. My daughter tried on her dresses and we found a nice one to wear to one of her birthday dinners. We ended our shopping visit with a sweet gal checking us out. We were also thanked by a couple girls in the front on our way out. I have always enjoyed shopping here. The clothes are cute and the staff is hella nice. I am sure I'll be back soon!

I always shop here for family photos, Christmas, just because or if I'm looking for baby gifts. Their baby clothes is always a win as a baby shower gift no matter if it's for a boy or girl. The staff here if always kind! They have some of the best retailers customer service around. They are in such a great shopping area. It's hard not to want to stop in when I'm shopping at the Village. Jill store - I noticed it on my mission-trip to Williams Sonoma - was an excellent one. Friendly service, think Nordstrom'esque for welcoming shopper and assisting with finding items and checking with the shopper in the dressing room, well laid out store and with plenty of space in aisleways, neatly arranged merchandise with plenty of options but not overwhelming in same, sizes from 0 to 2X and Petites too. The manager here could teach a master class to other retailers in the area about how to get it right. It makes me want to learn how to wear J. Jill clothing because while I have tried in the past, the J. Jill in the Central Oregon city I lived in was accessed from sidewalk in shopping area and didn't require navigating an indoor mall, so I'd go in when passing by, I never have really learned how to make it work for me, although I am for sure their age demographic and the unfussiness of the styling works for my preferences even if some of the designs are too Eileen Fischer'esque shapeless for me and I feel as if I disappear in them. I'm a smaller and shorter person, 5'4" / size 2, and somehow the regular sizes in JJill are too big for me but the petites aren't right either. But my BFF who is 5'7" / 8 looks great in everything she has purchased in this brand over the years, as does a friend who is in the average American woman size of 12 -14 and they are all dedicated shoppers of J.Jill products. COMFORTABLE ACCESS FOR EVERYONE: As a shopper with disabilities, I have had multiple sclerosis since college years and it is a progressive disease, I particularly appreciate the perfect ADA compliance for at least 36" clear space in aisles. This has been equal access law since 1990 but you'd be amazed how many retailers, in particular for clothing, treat this as optional. Good for J. Jill corporate and this Boise store manager for taking it seriously. It was bright and clean. What gives this place 5 stars is the customer service. Every employee that we passed asked if we needed help in any way. Employees smiled and offered to get us a bag or check sizes. Kelly was the one who helped us at checkout. She was extremely patient (we had a large order), super friendly, and made sure that everything was ringing up correctly for us. She definitely set the tone for a great visit!
