A dirty floor--stickers stuck to the floor, dust balls at the end of isles, Spring and Summer clothes still on the racks throughout the fall and late winter months, never priced to sell, clothes halfway off the hangars, on broken hangars, clothes without price tags (returned and just hung up without retagging?), clothes packed on racks so tightly you can barely get your hands between to remove to look at more closely (explains the previous?), floors do not look like they've been cleaned, let alone swept for months on end, obvious use of temporary help with low pay that frequently come and go, and slip little hints they may not be there when you come into the store, the next time, an electronic faucet in the Men's bathroom that you can never activate, no matter how hard you try (more than one?), and a Manager that waddles through the store, looking busy, and never smiles but if she does, it is "forced, feigned," indicating she is not a happy person doing the job she is hired to do. I am a retired professional. I was once the CEO of a large corporation, and have also held multiple managerial jobs. There is no real management of this Sierra store; this is obvious. Unfortunately, this mismanagement makes any store in a higher income class location (*The Village, Meridian, Idaho) look low-class. My friend and I will no longer shop there, until this obvious mismanagement is cleaned up. (*We have spent hundred of dollars there over a six month visitation period.)

I usually pop in regularly to check the sales and deals. On a visit last year I found this collapsible duffel bag. It's a monster. It folds into itself and has been a regular addition to my must have travel items. Their line of national parks t shirts are great gift ideas for family that lives outside of the Us as well as those who don't have a national park near them. I also like their hats and windbreakers. The staff is super friendly and what I like the most is that they are knowledgeable about their products. They really want you to have what works best for you not necessarily the most expensive thing in the store. Pro Tip. Sign up for rewards. It takes about two months to get your reward money buts it's worth it. Columbia is a great addition to the Village and I can't wait to see what the deals are next week

Now, with a much shorter drive, I can browse and try on a very large selection of Columbia clothing. The service here is great, and I have found the quality of their clothing to be top notch. Columbia stuff is much cheaper here than most other outdoor brands sold at my other favorite three-letter-outdoor-store. I'll be back, as I can never have too many sweaters, sweatshirts, outdoor pants, rain jackets, snow jackets, or other assorted shirts and such.

My first time in Boise, visiting a lifelong friend, we hired Mike Raymondi to be our guide on the…read moreOwyhee River for a day of catch and release trout fishing. The three of us, retired women with modest fishing experience and a love for nature, instantly felt at ease as he selected the waders, boots and gear in the well-organized TRR store in Eagle ( when you go there, look up, you'll have a fish's point of view- watery blown glass ornaments suspended from the ceiling). We followed Mike's truck to the river where he selected a sweet spot clear of snags and sunken hazards. The birds and awe-inspiring panoramic beauty made focusing on the orange indicator a bit of a challenge. Mike gave us a quick and articulate tutorial on casting, mending and setting the lines, then he spaced us out on the length of the river where he grew several sets of eyes, simultaneously guiding our line work and alerting us to the bobber's behavior, which you see before you feel anything. I missed several nibbles because I saw a tanager or a flicker, but we all hooked and I landed a big brown trout with lovely speckles and no wounds from the brief fight we had in reeling it in. The big takeaway about a good or bad day fishing, according to Mike, is this: hooking and landing combine a multitude of very different skills, and many people who say the fishing was bad, missed the nibble or the set, and failed to catch what fish were there. To me, there is no bad day of fishing if you are in the care of a competent guide, supplied with proper gear, a spectacular picnic lunch (kudos to Tasso in Eagle) and in an exceptionally beautiful piece of God's country, which was the case for us. Now for those of you who believe the only value in fishing is catch, catch, catch, this review will mean nothing. Mike mustered all of his powers to switch out the types of nymph flies (we were nymphing this time), and we had a spare afternoon, but you can't make fish eat when they don't wish to. Nonetheless, we felt satisfied, happy and properly looked after by TRR's professional guide service.

They were great with a beginner like myself, who has gone fly fishing only one other time with them, all the way to my son who has fly fished several times. They gave my daughter & I, a quick, but detailed lesson before fishing. We both caught more fish than we could count. They were great with my husband & son too who caught nonstop fish. They know the River extremely well & the fishing spots, even better. They were fun, patient, knowledgeable, & funny. They provided the gear; & fitted us prior to going out on the water. The lunch was wonderful & we had a choice of bakery sandwiches, with pasta salad, cookies, & chips. This was a great experience & we plan to make it an annual trip.
