I needed some basics and this is my go to spot that has affordable tees for work. I did find quite a few items but they didn't come in the size I needed which was kind of a bummer. Would rate 0 stars if I could because of Joanna's attitude. Store manager btw. There was negligence on both ends . I bought a shirt and as you should do, I wash it before wearing. But there was a security tag I didn't see left on it. So I brought it back to see what we can do. She said it can't be returned because it was washed and damaged BY the security tag they left on. Then she went on blaming me saying, "oh well I wouldn't do that. You don't check your clothes before washing?" Among other things. Keep in mind I know what it's like to have rude customers so I kept calm and tried reasoning with her but she just blamed it on me and said sorry nothing I can do for you. Told me to call customer service "so they can tell me the same thing" I was going to be a repeat customer but Joanna single-handedly prevented that. read more

I freaking love HM Home! It's connected to their clothing store on the first floor. Lots of cute items to decorate your home with. Kitchenware, vases, candle holders, baskets, hooks, knobs, pillowcases, beach towels, you name it! I just wish the store was larger with even more selection though. Last week at work we discussed what it means to have a good customer service experience. Some of the things that came up were: greeting the customer and making sure they feel welcome, promoting a positive, helpful, friendly environment, and listening to the customer's needs. Unfortunately, not one of these things happened when I entered this store. I came in to exchange and return a few items at H&M at the Westfield Topanga Mall that I received as gifts. I had the items, the receipts, and the gift receipts. I was told I could not return them because I didn't have the credit card they were purchased with. Since these were gifts, it doesn't make sense that I would have access to the original card. This policy is unreasonable, unprofessional, and dismissive of the customers. Requiring the original credit card for a gift return, combined with a strict 30-day limit, is not only an inconvenience but also reflects very poorly on H&M's brand, reputation, and integrity as a business. I hope you'll reconsider how this situation is handled. read more

I stopped by this H&M location while waiting for my movie to start. I wanted to see if they had any new colors for their easy iron dress shirt since those are one of the only product I wear from here. They didn't have a lot of selection and I didn't see anything that I like so I went to look at their dress jacket and pants. They had some good colors and the prices were not so bad so maybe I'll get them when they are on sale. The store is pretty organized and there were workers walking around the store if you need any help. This H&M is 2 stories so they'll likely have more stuff than other H&M location. read more

Check your receipts before you leave! Been overcharged twice in one month at the Topanga H&M. Neither purchase was a sale item, in both cases the ticket clearly states one price and yet when purchased the system charged 30% more. First time the nice sales associate caught the error before I left. She second time I didn't realize it and now inconvenient to go back in for a correction. Corporate doesn't care one bit and only resolution is to have the error fixed in store. Disappointing. read more

Love this branch since they offer home decors. Love the reasonable pricing and the organic modern style of items being sold. This location is big, however, wishing there is more space allocated for the decors since they are really lovely and cost-effective. My wife Lillian and I were at the Topanga mall Christmas shopping a few days ago and went into the H & M store that looked brand new and was so inviting , I had no idea they carried home goods and quite a large selection. We were helped by a young lady Caroline that I think was a manager but she was awesome and helped us pick out quite a few gifts . What a great store we will definitely be back very soon read more

I would consider this a pretty good store for teenagers. They have pretty good prices and the quality of their clothes is pretty good. They carry both men and women and kids clothing. I would recommend going during the sale season because they have a lot of good prices . read more

Absolutely worst customer service. I went in to purchase a couple of work pants and have asked for two sales associates to just check if they have any sizing and not even looking at my item they told me what's out is out. Did not even look at their computer inventory or suggested another store. Lady working yesterday evening 7/14/22 at the fitting room was so unfriendly. I came out to give back the items I tried on and didn't fit and she said absolutely no words. I get it retail is not easy-- i worked at retail for many years but to not offer any kind of customer service defeats your purpose of being there. Why do they hire people that don't like to deal with customers? Alizay was in the fitting room working and I asked her if I could hang my clothes while I wait for a fitting room. Not friendly at all she says "I am not responsible" Then a lady walks out and she rudely tells her "next time they need to be on the hanger" Time to pay: she came to switch with the guy that was at the register and had a customer in front of us. About 20 minutes later she was still trying to help them, someone comes to help her because she was having problems with a transaction. Three minutes later another lady comes down to help but instead of helping after seeing the long line and people frustrated she starts to converse with the customers at the register and starts petting their dog. OMG! So I asked "can one of you help us instead of patting the dog, there is 3 of you? Alizay starts to help me and rudely says "she is not petting the dog she is helping me" finished my transaction with an attitude and also my friends transaction. I am Not asking for a smile but at least not an attitude. read more

H&M is one of my favorite stores. It's a shame that this specific location has the worst service. I have been here several times and every time I go in, I have received poor service. The last time I was in, on 05/07,I was at the cash wrap and the guy who was ringing me up wasn't even paying attention. He was more concerned about some other customer who set off the security alarm. He pretty much was laughing about it the whole time all while shoving all of my items into a small bag. The bag was basically ripping and I had to ask for another bag. On 05/14, I went back and again, at the cash wrap, the associate saw me but didn't acknowledge me. Instead of ringing me up first, she was putting some go backs on hangers. After a few minutes, she then tells me she will be right with me and proceeds to put clothes back on hangers. When she finally rang me up, she was giving me a dirty look the whole time! I understand if you are having a bad day but do Not take it out on the customers. If you need to step away for a few minutes, maybe ask another associate to cover for you. read more

I lined up to ask a staff about a clothing item. I thought she was helping out another customer; turned out she seemed to be talking to a friend. I was ignored until the friend told her, "she might have a question." Then I asked her about where the rest of the pile was for the clothing item I was holding. She said she couldn't find it, asked another staff, then she pointed to the air and said "he'll help you out." No one ever came to check back on me. read more

Today is November 26, 2022 8:45pm. Ilana(the white girl with freckles) working the register is so rude and charged my girlfriend wrong twice. First time I noticed something wrong with her was when I asked her if she can she price check something for us, she paused and looked at me awkwardly and look irritated and said just wait, and I kid you not 3 seconds later she price checked the item that I asked for. After that she overcharged my fiance twice on two items carelessly. The manager who is normal and kind fixed everything. I had a good experience shopping and browsing and ended up leaving with one new item to add to the collection... it was a bit pricey considering it was a spring/winter item, yet worth it... surprised there aren't more seasonal deals.... I tried on a few items (jeans, shirts, etc) and was shocked I didn't buy one of them/those, but summer clothes just aren't as great as fall or winter, especially not at this particular H&M... Go figure and the rare stuff that is... is often out of stock or down to the biggest and smallest sizes in-store... And "It's pretty clear I ain't no size two, but I can shake it shake it... like I'm suppose to do." Overall a positive experience, but they are constantly out of average/common sizes at least in men's wear. This location (more than others) advertises that you can find missing or size options online if not in-store and with the world becoming more digital and online [ sorry Toys-R-Us :_( ] I'm for it, but nothing beats the experience of trying something on in person so they should really keep their stock up hear... Hello this is not only a decent size H&M, but it's at one of the largest malls where traffic is non-stop... O.O Customer service wasn't something to throw shade about, it was however a little one sided. The employees seem more into their lives and selves than getting things done or their work. The lady in dressing didn't notice me for a while. She did however ask if everything fit okay and if I was going to purchase everything. I said no and handed her the items... she seemed distraught by this internally... they don't work on commission here, right? I bought $60 worth of product, and used a $30 gift card and charged the remaining $30 to my credit card. I returned half of the purchase and found out later that the salesperson conveniently left out the fact that they were keeping my money and refunding the gift card. Why would I want to give $30 of my money to a company and keep a $30 gift card? Who does this practice benefit -- H&M, or the customer? Why wasn't it disclosed to me that the money was being returned to a gift card? That's shady business. This business practice benefits H&M solely, disadvantages the customer entirely, and was not disclosed to the customer. That's shady. read more

I got it home, tried it on with some stuff, and noticed it always sat the wrong way; it kept turning backwards while on. The closest H&M store to me is the one on Hollywood Blvd. It's smaller, so I decided to check out the one at the Topanga Mall. I was looking for a few items in particular. I don't shop to H&M too often since I don't have a decent location closer by. If you come from Ventura Blvd. and 101 freeways, you'll see another Mall on the right side with Macy's, etc. It's confusing, but keep going, Topanga Mall, the bigger one is a bit further up on the right side also - it also has a Macy's, among Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, etc. The entrance is close to Forever 21. I don't love this mall, it's a bit too big for me. The actual H&M store is big, on 2 levels, has a good selection of clothes for women, men, even kids. I did find what I was looking for. The quality of clothes is good, prices are very reasonable. You can get some cheaper, trendy clothes in here. At the checkout, I wanted to use a coupon that I received from H&M in my email a day before. The sales girl jumped immediately to tell me that she can't use it, it's expired. I was trying to tell her that it's not (I don't use expired coupons) and that I just got it, but she was ready to call the manager over. Then, I looked at the coupon that was set in front of her and the expiration date was over a month from that day. I told her so, then she finally looked at the actual coupon and calmed down. She used it and apologized, but why jump at the customer like that before looking at the actual coupon? I wasn't trying to get away with anything. She kinda made me feel like I was. Just didn't like her attitude, I don't go to that mall that often since it's further away (maybe once every couple of years?). I like the location, but I'll check out other H&M-s for now. read more

Double Story H&M with the Men's department upstairs. Reasons to love H&M - Great fashion - Cheap Prices - They got shoes, belts, sunglasses, hats, accessories and clothes of course. Basically a pretty big selection for great prices. Things I don't like. - Long lines. This place and its lines suck. Sometimes you will have to think twice about actually buying something. - Their shoes look great but can hurt your feet and body over the long run if you do not buy soles separately to put in them. - This location might not have a lot of helpers walking around. Maybe because the economy is slow. - H&M is starting to become popular and it worries me that maybe someone else might accidently be wearing the same thing I might be wearing. Made a purchase to send overseas. The cashier a woman who works there short black hair pins it up with a hair clip. She is maybe a key holder. My first visit very nasty bad attitude looks like she hates working there. Well bought my item and to find out it still had the security attachment. Obviously I wasn't able to send it as a gift. However I did take the item back and had the receipt but when I took out some mail from the H&M shopping bag it fell out in my vehicle. To the point the same girl who was there that night treated me so unprofessional. She was so not customer service oriented, looked at me as if I stole the item. Had me look for my receipt via the site, asked me if I had the card showing the purchase. Saw her on the phone talking about the item looking at me at the same time. Wow what a journey for an item they failed to check and remove the security device. To the store head main head. Please remove this female from your staff. This is not customer service. Hire people that want to work and are kind regardless if you like your job or not. Giving this store a 1 star. Female was short and black hair, maybe colored eyes, did not even have her name showing. Horrible person. I would not hire you if you applied at a store. Your attitude is so old. No one deserves the way you treat people. If you are unhappy at H&M get another job. H&M train your staff.
