First was new shorts, flip flops (or whatever the kids are calling them these days) and a hat. The employees were nice and let me roam. The place was clean and very orderly. I ended up needing to return the shorts and it was easy but I they only give store credit or gift card. Didn't bother me as I quickly found something to get. I'll definitely be back because I am not going to wait another 20 years to buy swim shorts...don't judge, my last ones were very well made.

The right meshed pocket ripped and I almost unknowingly lost my keys! I've purchased other O'Neill Men Reserve Hybrid Shorts in 2024 and since worn upon arrival, had the zipper's stitching unravel, and the other's zipper mechanism come apart! Certainly not the quality one should expect from such a well-known brand. I'm am very dismayed and feel O'Neill has recently succumbed to the ways of incremental skimping to save a few cents with such large volume to equate into real dollars for them at the cost of alienating their customers. The departments that were lacking a little were the purses and shoes but all of my other favorite areas were well stocked - like clothing, jewelry, hygiene and home goods. The stores cleanliness was about a 4/5. More so the issue is people don't put items back so it can get a little clutter and messy in areas but still overall a pretty clean store. I was impressed with their fitting rooms. Clean and spacious stalls. The lady running that fitting room area was super nice. Great customer service here. 5 stars in customer service actually! Every staff member I interacted with was super lovely. Also I can't tell you how grateful I was that on this busy day they had at least 5 registers open. Loved this! My local stores rarely have more then 2-3 registers, even when a line wraps, so with long lines here everyone seemed content with how many staff they had working and that they kept the line moving. Somehow, I ended up with my wallet, so what better time to shop? Fashion Gal has a lot of trendy clothes, and I've been wanting to update some pieces in my wardrobe, so I took a lap around. Unfortunately, a lot of the clothing had cheap/thin material and high prices. However, directly to the left of the store - upon entering - was a clearance section. The items ranged from about $3 to $20 in the clearance section plus there was an additional discount on some of the items. I looked at a cute blue dress that I wasn't sure I wanted, wandered away, found out they have dressing rooms, and went back to try on the dress, where I found a cuter, fitter, smaller lady eyeing it. I watched, eagle eyed, as she lifted it up from the rack to check it out and eventually put it back. I bolted over and grabbed it, trying it on in the dressing room. It fit and looked really nice! Score! It cost $5! I've wandered in here a few times after shopping at Wal-Mart to look in the clearance racks for more nice, discounted clothes. I found a pretty dress (but had cheap material) for $3, a cute skirt skirt for $3, and romper for $3. Everything was also discounted for another 20%, so I walked away with three cute items of clothing for less than 10 bucks! Usually I now only look in the clearance section, then I'm out when I find nothing I like. Everything else in the store is a little overpriced for my tastes, but I definitely was excited to find some cute pieces. And it's a good way to hype up yourself up for going into the busy Wal-Mart shopping center to do some essential shopping when you know needless and fun shopping at Fashion Gal is next!
