Oil on the driveway. Ugh…read more Called some friends to get a recommendation for a local shop. One said that Scott from Sunland was the guy. We had the car towed over (2018 Ford Fusion Hybrid), and they diagnosed the problem and repaired the issue quickly and at a fair price. Unfortunately, the tech made a small mistake and once we got the car home, there was more oil on the driveway and a check engine light. Ugh, again. So we called back to Scott to see what he wanted us to do. We understand that sometimes mistakes are made and issues arise. How a business owner handles those issues are the difference between good businesses and great ones. This is a great one. Scott was MUCH more upset than we were! He got us back in same day and fixed the issue at no charge! (We should have paid for a necessary part, but he would not charge us.) With everything so expensive these days, and everyone trying to stretch a buck, it's hard to know if you're leaving your car with someone who cares about it as much as you do. Scott does. I asked for pics and that they'd not drop the pan until I knew what they found. I showed up 3 days later to find the truck lifted and the pan off. When I told them I was taking it somewhere else, they said come back in an hr. I asked about the fluid and the mechanic said he'd put the old stuff back in. I told him to at least fill it to spec. When I came back to get it, they lied and told me he filled it to spec and told the service writer (in front of me) to "get this guy outta here." They didn't want to give me any paperwork but I requested it to see what was in writing and they said they'd filled the trans fluid to spec. I asked the other shop to let me know what they found and they confirmed my suspicions, there was only 1 quart of nasty fluid in there. There are plenty of other shops, don't go here!

*** LADIES BEWARE*** This facility replaced my clutch actuator, which is expensive. Months…read moreafterward, the car was doing the exact same thing as before; hesitating when I shifted into drive or reverse. On a Monday, I called and spoke with Emeral(?). He stated to bring the car in, and based on the time, he could let me know what is going on by the end of the day. I stated that I could have it there by 1p. I was there at 12:30p. Emeral started that he would give me a call before the end of the day. No call from the shop on Monday or Tuesday morning. I called Emeral around 5pm on Tuesday. He stated that they were putting things together and would call me within the next 15-30 mins. Again, I was lied to.  No call.  Wednesday at 10:30a, Emeral called to state that he was waiting on a quote for a part and he would call me as soon as he received it. I stated that he told me that he would call me on Monday and yesterday (Tuesday), and the calls never came. I told him that it was poor customer service to make promises that he wouldn't keep and to have someone's car for that long without updates on what is going on. I advised that if I hadn't called on Tuesday, he would not have called me, and I still don't know what the issue is with my car. Emeral stated, "Yes, if you hadn't called on yesterday, I would not have called you." I state it's bad business to not keep your word. Emeral stated, "What did it matter?" He was not having that conversation with me.  I asked for the total of what was owed. He stated $0 at this time. I advised that I'd be there to pick up the car. On Wednesday afternoon, I went to pick up my car. Emeral stated the conversation by apologizing.  He stated that he felt bad at the end of the call. He proceeded to tell me the diagnosis, which, according to him, was not the transmission. I remained silent. If the shop specializes in transmissions and they were standing behind previous repairs, why did he not call and state that on Monday? Emeral stated that he would call me within the next 30 minutes with a quote for repairs. Unsurprisingly, the call did not come. We all have lives; jobs and responsibilities, and they all require some form of transportation. Most of us take pride in our automobiles and misses them when they are not available to us.  For a mechanic to have a car for greater than two days without a follow-up call as promised is unacceptable.  I'm applauded at the lack of customer service that is rendered here. LEARN FROM MY MISTAKE, find a repair shop that treats customers with respect and whose word is bond. If you don't care about those things, then this is your place.

Came here for a quote to switch the headlight bulbs on our truck after a lackluster experience at…read moreO'Reilly's down the street (the worker there wasn't much help and actually removed a cover piece from the engine area and gave up trying to put it back, leaving the truck worse than he found it). I met with Logan for a quote immediately after calling Friendly Auto, who was incredibly professional and kind enough to spend a minute putting the cover piece back in for me since I couldn't reach it. Logan gave me a quote, saying the timing could take anywhere from half hour to an hour due to different pieces needing to be removed to access the bulb area. We scheduled an appointment for the following day to get the bulbs replaced. The next day, Eric (manager) helped me get situated. With the service ending up being under a half hour of labor, he ended up reducing the cost of the service due to it being quicker than expected (which was honorable). You don't always see that kind of honesty in the auto service nowadays and it was greatly appreciated. We will definitely be back here and we're pleased with the service provided!
