I described my issue with my freezer (loud buzzing sound when the motor comes on) and he was able to schedule a technician to come by on Monday afternoon to work around my schedule. The technician, Vasyl, texted me when he was on his way and arrived promptly as scheduled. He was able to quickly diagnose the issue (ice build up that was hitting the freezer fan when it turns on). To repair, I needed to move all the food items out of the freezer and into coolers, and Vasyl was able to quickly repair the issue by manually defrosting the ice build up using a commercial steamer tool. He inspected the fan and it was still operating normally and no buzzing, so it did not need to be replaced. He was able to diagnose the issue and finish the work within one hour of arrival. The repair price was reasonable and the inspection fee was waived since I went ahead with the repair. Vasyl also answered my questions about how to prevent this from happening again and also some recommendations on future fridges when it is time to replace mine. I used this business previously per a referral that worked on Asko appliances. In 2023, a repair service person came to my unit from Appliance Hospital and recommended that I order a part for my clothes dryer to 'fix it myself' because he did not have the part. This company is dishonest and lied to me twice about making contact with KitchenAid to obtain another repair service. I recommended that KitchenAid review their Yelp reviews for other customer complaints. BTW, unlike other businesses, I've noticed that 'Appliance Hospital' never responds to complaints on Yelp. If you have an extended warranty for KitchenAid or Whirlpool, request a different repair service. I have an extended warranty with Lowe's post warranty and it appears that KitchenAid is required to service my dishwasher until the warranty expires.
