I'm a fan of older USA built appliances in certain applications around our home. Dryers and ovens being 2 biggies. We've had Mr. H out 2x now in 3 years. both were excellent experiences. The first time was in 2017 to replace and repair the potentiometer/timing system on our ancient 1995 ish Kenmore Dryer. For $120, he fixed it quickly and it worked like a TANK for YEARS after. Last week, the ol Kenmore Dryer quit on us again, but it sounded like a motor/pulley issue. I called H and H and Mr. H was out the same day. He took a look at it and determined it was the pulley, the belt and that the motor was tired. He said he'd try to fix but no guarantee. No charge if it didn't work out, which is what he told me on his first successful visit in 2017. About an hour later he had it running with the newly cleaned motor, replacement pulley and belt, but while he was walking out to the car to leave, the motor blew and it died completely...for good unfortunately. New motor alone is a good $250, so not worth fixing. He gave me my money back but I felt terrible for his time + otherwise great work and reliable nature so tipped him $50 and wished him a happy holiday. Not at ALL his fault the motor went caput at that moment, and no way to predict that scenario. After 2 excellent experiences with H and H, I would highly recommend them, and I will definitely re hire Mr. H anytime for other needed appliance repairs. Mr. H really is a WIZARD at this stuff, and a really sweet and humble guy as well. If you have an older high quality appliance you hate to see go, I think H and H is likely the best option for a prompt, courteous in home repair. 5 stars, no question. read more

Called H & H after another local company gave me a bit of a crazy time with scheduling and an estimate. Hung Hoang came out to my place in short order - I was already pretty happy with the turnaround time. +1 star already just for being punctual! Next, Hung took his time to dig into my issue - I have a commercial refrigerator/freezer that ceased to cool. I was able to trace it down to either the inverter board or the compressor but couldn't sort which it was definitively. Hung spent his time to double check what I did, and confirm the faulty part was the inverter board. +1 for his thorough troubleshooting and +1 more for great communication during it. At that point, Hung and I talked and both agreed on the issue and resolution. Replacing an inverter board is a very straightforward thing, so he just made sure I had the correct part number, and referred me to a local place to get the part from. +1 more star for not trying to up sell or force my hand into using him for billable time to replace the part, and Hung gets the 5th start for the parts store recommendation, which was spot on perfect. I certainly recommend H & H if you have an appliance that needs some care. Hung is also a cheerful gentlemen who is knowledgeable and fun to carry a conversation on with as well! read more

We were very impressed with Hung Hoang! We had a washer that wasn't draining. We called several repair companies and they couldn't fit us in for several days. I called H & H Appliance at 8:30 am and he was out at the house by 10:00 am and repaired it quickly. I was at work but my wife (who is very picky) was very impressed with Mr Hoang. He explained what was wrong and repaired it at a reasonable price. She said he is a"a Sweetheart" and very nice. I have put his number in my phone for future reference. I would highly recommend him. I am a dentist in Federal Way and will call him for any repairs that are necessary in my office as well. read more

Hate to leave a review like this. I saw the great reviews others had left on here so I gave him a call. He came straight out the same day which was great but said I needed to order a part for him to be able to repair my oven. He said when he part arrived to call him and he would come back out to fix it, then I paid his service fee. Once the part arrived I called him & now he's telling me he can't come back out and can't fix it and never told me he could fix it. I'm very disappointed and, based on my experience, would not recommend this guy. read more

Our Samsung dryer was making loud noises and one of the rollers needed to be replaced along with the felt seal on the rear of the drum. Called H and H Appliance after reading these reviews, in the morning and Hung arrived early afternoon of the same day. Hung expertly completed the job in less than 2 hours and charged a very reasonable price. Not much more than I could find the repair parts for at local Reliable Parts warehouse! Strongly recommend and will use again should we run into any more issues with our appliances in the future. read more

My freezer wasn't working and we were losing meat. I shopped around and found H and H appliance to help me. My fridge stopped working. Hung offered to come repair when I called to ask if he had any used refrigerators to sell. He came within the hour!! He repaired, replaced broken part. When fridge still didn't work he stayed and continued further repair!! Amazing. I would highly recommend him if you need appliance repair!! read more

Great service. Hung fixed my older dryer! I love this dryer and wanted to keep it going. Thanks to him and his knowledge he repaired it. My fridge finally gave up working. I was thinking that it might be one of the fan that might need to be replaced. I called Mr. Hung. One hour later he came to my house and replaced that fan for a fair price. He seems to be honest. I would recommend his business to anyone. Two thumbs up! read more

Called for a same day appointment to fix a washer inside a rental unit and he came out within 45 minutes. Diagnosed the whirlpool washer and fixed the issue within a few hours for a great price. Will use again! Note, H&H only accepts cash or checks. Receipt will be provided. read more

My dryer stopped working, I called H&H and they were here within the hour. Polite, knowledgeable, had all the parts on hand, reasonably priced and left the area clean. Definitely would recommend and will use in the future for any appliance issues. read more
