They value repair above replacement, even for older units. They repaired my no-name (Hotpoint) dishwasher from 1995, repairing an entire mechanism part and various seals. They came and repaired my garbage disposal, and because the repair was so simple (stuck piece of old plastic), they did not want to charge me the full price. This was such an honest gesture. Called out Appliance ER to diagnose the spin issue with my washer. They came out promptly (same…read moreday) determined that the dampers were the issue. Gave me a cost to repair that was well beyond my budget and they fully understood. Would be cheaper to purchase a new machine. But with this knowledge, and quick google search and some YouTube videos I was able to replace these dampers for less than $50 doing it myself. I think Appliance ER's diagnostic fee ($110) added value, and with a little additional work I was able to fix the issue myself.

We had a blocked drain line that a contracted (wasn't a direct employee of Appliance ER) technician came out to fix. He was very rough trying to get the lower drawers out of our fridge, Marring the interior of our top of the line Kitchen aid. Not to mention he was much more expensive than another repair we had used this same company for which took much much more time and more parts. we were happy with the care and cost of the previous repair (done by an actual appliance ER employee). Trying to get a fix is like pulling teeth and even when getting insurance information for a claim we are getting incorrect information and "not enough" or not correct information per the insurance company. Several months later I give up and am writing reviews of our bad experience. With all of this said, make sure you have documentation of your condition of appliance before time and ask for an estimate ahead of time being that apparently it can vary WILDLY!
