The other guy who came with him worked hard, but the owner was just talking. I should have canceled it the moment I saw his attitude change when he arrived for work. As a result, the job was not done properly, and I will need to hire someone else to get the job done properly. If you want the job to done by someone who agreed to it . the moment that person started complaining , it is better to cancel because he is not happy and won't do a good job.

If you remember there was a large number of trees down in the area, straining the supply of equipment and crews available to do this kind of tree work. Our insurance company had a tree service lined up to remove the tree. They said they would need a 100-ton crane to remove it since it was such a large tree. After a couple of days with no progress and with the tree service saying they were still waiting to hear from the crane company, I realized that a crane would take many days if not more than a week, if we were lucky. Rain was in the forecast and I knew we were racing against the clock if we didn't want our whole house flooded. I called around to many tree services in the area and they all said they would need a crane (which they would have to rent or contract themselves). Luckily I found Ronnie and Maryland Tree. He said they could remove the tree without using a crane. I was apprehensive at first, but the clock was ticking, so I said let's do this. They removed the tree little by little using ropes and leverage on the heavy parts. They got the tree off the roof to where it could be boarded and tarped and it happened not a moment too soon. The tarps were being applied in a light drizzle. About a half hour after the tarps were fully applied, there was a torrential downpour with flooding and everything. If we had still been waiting on a crane, I have no doubt in my mind that our whole house would have been ruined. Maryland Tree saved our butts. I have no idea what tree service like this usually costs, but the insurance company said that what they charged was very reasonable. I'll bet it was much less than it would have been if a large crane had been involved. I highly recommend Maryland Tree. Thank you, Ronnie.

I was hesitant at first about working with new contractors since I've been burned in the past but Gabriel was the best so far and restored my faith! My bf reached out to Gabriel after finding him on Craigslist. He was prompt and came out 15 minutes later on a Friday to deliver on a quote for the huge landscaping work we needed done. He spent about an hour with us in talking about the landscaping work to be done. He never tried to tack on extra work and was INCREDIBLY knowledgeable about the native trees & shrubs in our yard. His quote was very reasonable and he started work that Monday at 7 am. The job was re-grading, removing concrete and gravel, hauling dirt, replanting the empty space, etc. lots of work to do. His equipment was here bright and early as promised and he finished work the next day on Tuesday. Unbelievable how fast they were. His team was extremely professional and hardworking - everything was done to perfectionist standards. In his signature way it seems from other reviews, he went and beyond and placed extra dirt in our garden beds and seeded those areas too. Plus, when we inquired about extra dirt, he even came back that afternoon and spread out more in our veggie garden. We highly recommend Gabriel, highly highly. While here…read morefor the consult, he spent 30-40 minutes talking to my husband about our landscaping options and advised us that a split-trunk tree we had in the front yard was dangerously rotted and posed a high risk of falling on our home. Though a precarious situation - two 100+ ft trees located a mere 7-8 feet from our front window - his team did an excellent job removing them. They climbed both trees and removed them limb by limb so that there was zero damage to our house. They then chopped up some of the trunk for us as firewood and cleared/hauled the limbs, all at a much more reasonable price than other landscaping companies. Gabriel's team was professional and courteous the entire time. Highly recommend!
