Great service and fair pricing. I would not give my business to anyone else in the Reston area.

HG is a really phenomenal company. And before you decide, "well, that could be just one of their…read morefriends writing...", check out my other reviews, there are no friends in Yelp (Accept for those folks that have friended me - thank you very much). Seriously, HG has been a really great company to work with and they've worked for us for over a year. Everyone around here knows them and I don't know why they are not on Yelp already. They cut my grass (they also worked for the previous owner of this house), my neighbor's grass and the grass for the gentleman across the street. They are very busy :-) They are always available for new business and respond to phone calls and texts. If interested I suggest you text. I think it's the best way to reach them. HG has cut my grass, cleaned my gutters and today they washed my house... Yes, they washed my house. Cleanliness leads to bigger problems and they want you to avoid bigger problems. Everything they do they do at a very reasonable price with attention to quality and detail. They are willing to cut every week, or every other week, whatever schedule works for you. They do not work in the rain, but the next clear day they are out there right on schedule. They don't come too early, which will please us mid-morning nappers. Also, wrap up your hose. They didn't see ours and ran over it with their lawn mower, but we're too happy with the way the lawn looked to worry about it. Hoses are easy to get, great gardeners, not so much. If they notice that you need something else done with your house, they will point it out to you in a friendly, professional way and get it done. They dug up a root that had sprung a tree, the root had gotten so deep into our fence we couldn't get it out. When my husband cut the tree down and burned it, it still sprang new leaves and tenaciously went for the fence again. We pointed it out to HG and the next time I looked over it had been pulled up by the root. No tree, no root, no green - no playin' around. Today when the gentleman came to wash my house, he also washed my porch, my walkway, my stairs and just for the heck of it, my car AND my bike. Now, I know what you're thinkin' and yeah, I was out there lookin' good. No one can rock an oversized stained t-shirt and bike shorts like me, but it was still very nice of him to go that extra mile. I rewarded him with a kiss on the cheek, and oh yeah, this review. ...still don't mean we're friends.

As a former employee, I can say that, IN MY OPINION, they are the most backwards, unprofessional,…read moreunethical, etc. I could write a novel about why this place should be avoided but, I will give you 3 highlights and allow you to decide for yourself. 1) I was given a computer that did not have any of the 12 apps that I would need to do a job that I would never be trained to do. When asked for help, I was told to contact my equal at another branch. I was told by that person that I was lying and lazy because I was not able to learn/do anything because she did not believe me when I told her about the pc/app situation. When I approached the branch manager, he said something to the effect of; Yeah, she is not very helpful. Just do your best. 2) Similar to the previous situation, I was not trained to do the job. I was, eventually able to get the apps, shown 1 time (took notes) at a very fast, unreasonable pace, on how to do each task. The branch manager was clueless. He told me to contact the regional controller (his wife who worked for the managing company). She kept apologizing for not training me. Even though, she/they lived about 5 miles or so away. She also told me not to contact ANY of the managing company because they were too busy. To spite all of those hurdles, I learned my job and did it damn good. I was teaching people how to do the tasks that I had to learn myself. 3) In vague details, the branch needed to come up with the salary difference for a "Rock Star" candidate. In the month between his first interview up through the point when he would begin (approx. a month), it seemed that everything I did, as I had been doing it, became wrong. The branch manager's wife (controller) became vicious with me. Ripping me on anything that I did. The branch manager became sheepish. Making excuses for her behavior, even though I had been told, ipso facto, he knew what she was doing. They broke me. I was complaining to the assistant controller via G Meets, all of the sudden, HR wants to talk to me. Everything I said and more was relayed to them, in deceptive and misleading ways. I was fired. About a week after, the position I was in, was advertised on Indeed, as a part time position and the salary was reduced by EXACLTY how much they needed to come up with for the new "rock star". They simply could have asked me if I was willing to change to part time. Regardless, for some odd reason, I am not able to get a position (identical to that one). Telephone, Telegraph, Tell the branch manager...the fastest way for lies to travel. THIS IS IN MY OPINION. THE SIMILARITIES TO ANY REAL LIFE SITUATION ARE PURELY COINCIDENTAL

This company does an excellent job with landscaping. The management team fulfills all contractual…read morerequirements in a timely manner. They proactively tour the property and identify areas that enhance the overall beauty of the property. The crews and equipment always have a professional appearance and the employees seem to take pride in their work.
