Decided to stop in for an afternoon protein packed drink break. Taking a break at Häagen Dazs to try a huckleberry shake by 3:15pm. The jelly on top reminds me of cough medicine. Weird. Tastes much better with the vanilla ice cream. $8.55 I had no idea how much ice cream is used for a milkshake. More than a large ice cream cups worth, maybe 3-4 heaping scoops? The shake is okay. The berry jam and preserve doesn't taste as I would have thought for this anticipated mountain berry. There is a city and state tax added to our bill here. read more

We had fun in this Hagen Dazs shop. I asked for the teeniest, tiniest possible cup of ice cream and got my order. The next person in my family asked the same, etc. When the last person asked, our server joked with us and pulled out a little cup, slightly larger than a thimble. Too funny. I think only two options for ice cream in Jackson hole. The other local location was closed on the weekend. Which doesn't make sense but must be some staffing issues because of Covid. We came in on a snowy day and luckily this shops was open when no other ice cream shop in the town area was! The woman working the place was very friendly, we offered us all samples of the ice cream of our choice. The seasonal peppermint bark is VERY good and they have around 10 regular flavors as well. They can do shakes, sundaes and cones as well. They also do not drinks such as coffee and chai. Your average Haagen Dazs shop except much more busy! Almost constantly has a line outside but the staff is fast, friendly and efficient. My waffle cone brownie ice cream treat was delicious. Unfortunately, they run out of vanilla ice cream for the huckleberry shake that my husband ordered, so they suggested a replacement of vanilla chocolate chip ice cream which masked the huckleberry flavor a lot.. Racism rears its ugly head here. Three of us were waiting in here for a bit, a group of three white people came in after us (about 2 minutes) and were served before us. When we asked about why we weren't served she said "I'm going to continue serving these folks, I thought they were here first". It was clearly racism, as there was absolutely no way to have not noticed us when we were the only ones in the small shop before the three others were served. All we wanted was some ice cream!
