Häagen-Dazs - NY New York Strawberry Cheesecake was delicious! - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

We always order cakes from here for our birthday celebrations but this last time, they completely failed to make our ten year old's cake. They did not apologize, they offered a completely different pre-made cake but not additional pints ie. in the flavor she requested. We had already paid for the cake and they asked to see the receipt (which they had) and we showed them everything but they acted as if it was somehow our fault. We are furious. When you mess up, at least apologize and offer to make up for it, not offer a terribly subpar substitute when we did everything right, ordered over a week ahead of time, paid up front, etc. Sadly, we will unlikely return. read more

Häägen-Dazs is my favorite ice cream (after Jenis), but this shop was kind of subpar. It's super tiny and if there's anything more than 3 people on line, you're in the way of the door. It's a pretty standard shop with the same flavors and menu as every other HD. It was a little sticky on the counter areas and the glass on the case and floor didn't look like they were being deep cleaned. There was a $1 off with Yelp check-in and the cashiers seemed to have trouble applying it since there's not a scannable code in app. I honestly thought it was gonna be a "There's nothing we can do" situation but after a couple minutes, they just said fuck it and ended up applying a different offer for $2 off, which I appreciated. If you live in the area, I could see going here, but it's certainly not a location I'd trek to. read more

I ordered a vanilla quart and this is what it looked like when I got home. DISGUSTING!!!!! I emailed customer service and they do not care! complained about the app doesn't work properly. the men don't where gloves when they are scooping your ice cream. read more

I don't often go to Haagan Daz, but this is the place I come to with a friend whenever we have dinner in the area I was here about a week ago Thursday to cash in on my birthday treat - the idea of ice cream helped take the sting out of aging as well as the sweet ladies who worked behind the counter! Raymond was helping us out and even though we were indecisive, he was nice and patient. Need to shout-out Kimani and Jamirah who were so sweet and their energy made me smile because it's great to have fun at work :) They heard it was my birthday and made it a point to wish me a happy birthday! It was a nice way to start celebrating early and they made a lasting impression on me :) Looking forward to seeing them again after our next dinner. Thanks ladies! :) read more

Me and my fiancé randomly decided to stop by to get some ice cream since it was a beautiful day out. I was excited to find that once I checked in on yelp I received an offer of $1 off any ice cream or smoothie. I wanted to take advantage of this deal so during the checkout I showed the cashier my Yelp check in offer, and she looked at it as if I had made this up or something, and said we don't accept this type of offer.......but it's ON YOUR YELP PAGE. So I showed her the Yelp page again, and showed her where it said $1 off with Yelp check in. She then proceeded to tell me again that they don't take the Yelp offers (see picture attached) Dear management, if you don't plan on accepting offers from Yelp check ins, please take this off your business page because it's seriously misleading... read more

Everything I expected it to be. You can't go wrong with the ice cream here. Rocky road is and will always be my favorite and they got a really good Rocky road. Totally worth the calories. Love Haagen-Dazs but they can't make a simple milkshake in this location. The service is slow. The ambiance is nice and location is great. But every time I place an order they just can't seem to nail it. read more

So I have been coming to this location for over 20 years. I get a little worried when I see new faces behind the counter. Long story short I wasn't happy with my order, I went to the person that did it and they told me to speak to there manager. "Akira" the manager, she was quick to access the situation. She was fast, assertive and handled it in true managerial form. Let's just say I'm glade to see the store is left in good hands when the owners are not around. It would have been terrible if she wasn't there because the person that handled my order wasn't compliant. A+ to the person that hired her and D- to the worker that needs to work on his skills. This place is still the shining start of the neighborhood. Great place to stop by and have some real quality ice cream. Sit in or out and enjoy the ambience. read more

My order has been wrong on three occasions. Three strikes and you are out! Never ordering here again

We tried this location using the platform Too Good To Go, which is a great app intended to help its users reduce food waste and to help businesses make some money from food that would otherwise go to waste. This location is clearly scamming that platform. We paid $6 for a Too Good To Go box that is supposed to contain $18 worth of food and received ONE ice cream bar. This is completely ridiculous and it's clear that the management are just using Too Good To Go to milk as much profit as possible. Such shady practices. Never again. I'll stick to buying Ben and Jerry's at the grocery store. read more

Last Friday, I went to pickup one of your ice cream cakes with my mother-in-law. Nothing makes one happier than ice cream. The manager Sitara is by far the best manager I have ever dealt with and made what could have been a poor experience the best I have ever had. I sadly an order go wrong from Seamless. None of it was their fault and she went above and beyond to ensure my order was done not only correctly but had me laughing at the end. Considering the craziness going on in NYC, it is even more comforting to know that someone is going the extra mile to keep smiles on all of our faces. Thank you so MUCH! I really appreciate everything. Will go again anytime! read more

The door closer at the entrance have too much pressure, to get out another customer had to help me pull the door open. The line of customers waiting go all the way to the door when is busy, so one have to be careful opening and closing the door to not hit a waiting customer by the door. I had the Belgian Chocolate Shake, it gets 5 stars, delicious. The attendant looked at me like if I was an alien when I showed him my yelp check in and did not gave me the $1.00. What is the point of having a Yelp check in discount and not giving it? First time this happened. read more

FOOD: We love Haagen Dazs. The ice cream is rich and delicious, and the fact that they're so well known speaks for itself. The milkshakes are thick and not watered down, all the flavors are great. PRICE: $15 for TWO milkshakes!!! HAAGEN DAZS WHY YOU BUGGIN' MY GUY!!!!! Ok but seriously, my husband and I can't control ourselves when it comes to dessert. It's a splurge, but definitely a nice treat if your wallet (and waistline) can handle it. ATMOSPHERE: None, it's not really meant to be a dine-in place. Eat your ice cream and get out! Just kidding, it's small so when busy you likely won't be able to sit down. But the neighborhood is nice to walk around in if weather permits. SERVICE: I think the company had a chat with their employees after seeing the reviews on here about issues with the $1 off for checking in on Yelp. When we went, we had ZERO problems redeeming our $1 off and the cashier knew exactly what to do. TLDR: Expensive, delicious, you deserve it. read more

Yep, there's no good ice cream spots in the neighborhood. Been trying to not come here, but was the only spot open the other day and was more disappointed/underwhelmed than expected. I'm severing all ties with Haagen-Dazs parlors after today. Okay, it's been burned into our brains that Haagen-Dazs' sundaes, cones, cakes etc. are full of the fattiest fat, heaviest cream and sweetest sugar but where's the gold??? Even after redeeming a Yelp coupon, my small, Belgian Chocolate shake cost $5.66. For that kind of money, I want a prize at the bottom or some truffles or something. There's also something kinda sticky and flies-y about this particular location. I'm straight. read more

Definitely skip this place and go buy a pint at Key Food or your local bodega instead. Often Key Food has a 2, or even 3 for $5 deal (just make sure your flavors are listed, they get tricky sometimes). Why pay almost $5 for a "hand packed pint" which is no different than what they're selling for $3.99 (or less on sale) at Key Food? Same goes if you want a sundae, just buy the ingredients yourself and make it exactly like you like it. I guess if you're walking around and happen to want ice cream and don't care how much it costs, this is a good bet. There are more local ice cream places in Park Slope, though, and I'm sure they're more reasonably priced and just as good... And hopefully the people are nicer because the lady working in this location totally gave me attitude after I asked the price again when I couldn't hear it in the first place because she mumbled. I understand that working in Haagen Dazs probably isn't an ideal job, but I don't see how saying, "I'm sorry, what was the price?" is a huge inconvenience. read more

Meh...just too many better options along 7th. I went once and will not be back. Extremely slow service, rude staff and crowded with baby carriages. I do like their Bailey's shakes...but since I eat way too many fatty foods, I see no need in adding even more to my waist line. Get a frozen yogurt from Tasti D Lite across the street. read more

It gets so crowded in the springtime after school here. So not only are you barraged by little kids ogling flavors and trying to decide what they're going to blow their allowance on, you're also mired b the fact that they've surrounded you and there's really no cohesive line for the register. Once you've done that though, you can relish in the fact that your treat will be handed to you promptly and efficiently, and usually without hassle. Except for when one of the little buggers or their parents cut in front of you and order ice cream cakes or hand-packed pints when they can knowingly get it at the bodega two blocks over. Sad though it is it's the only place in a fair amount of space that has milkshakes. read more

Everyone is complaining about the service here. C'mon park slope, try to be nice. The lady who scooped my cone last night warmed up to me so quickly. She was completely competent and even let me try samples. Don't let service scare you away from enjoying yummy Haagen Dazs. read more

I love the quality of there ice-cream as it is one of my favorites~! The chocolate peanut butter sundae is to die for, and I highly recommend it! Parking can be difficult due to the location but they are pretty quick and efficient at expediting orders. The place looks old on the inside and not-modern but its does not take away from the deliciousness of the icecream. Prices can get pretty high as a milkshake will cost around $6 or more but if you don't mind shedding the cash its very much worth it! read more

I frequent this location several times a year to purchase holiday cakes. My family does a Fourth of July barbecue celebration, and we purchase a cake to commemorate the occasion every year. The store associates have done a better than average job decorating the cakes with American Flags or American Eagle images, at no extra charge. If the price's here are steep, get over it, everything in Park Slope is expensive. Except houses. read more

Alright, this place is conveniently located on 7th ave which is the only reason why I come here (along with the unnatural tasting of Pistachio ice cream. Yum!) The cup sizes are not in proportion to the prices (guess who pays more for less?) and this place is TINY. Partially it's because of the mothers and their baby strollers which I don't mind but do take up good amount of "space" if you can call it that. It feels like a hazard for more than 5 people to be in there at once, but during the summer? OY VAY. There are about three tables and the window seats which my elbows slide off of. The service is friendly but the worker was more concerned with talking to her friends than serving me my sugary-saturated pistachio ice cream (on more than one occasion.) I paid about $3-$4 for a medium cup which looked like it shrunk in the drier. So why is this place getting three stars from me? One fine day, I was eating my pistachio ice cream and a woman was breast feeding her child, conveniently right in front of me. The thing is, that baby looked at me with its big blue eyes whilst feeding. Something about that made feel more light-hearted. read more

There are a lot of negative reviews here, but I'm not sure why. It's ice cream and ice cream is delicious. I recently had a coffee milkshake that I was very happy with and we plan to order a birthday cake this weekend, as we've done in the past. Sometimes the line can move a bit slowly, but aside from that once you get the ice cream it's pretty satisfying. read more

Totally ripped me off. Paid $8 for a small dazzler sundae and got 2 small scoops of ice cream, 4 heaping tablespoons of fudge, 1 spoon of oreos topped off with a fuck ton whipped cream that filled half the cup. Ridiculous!
