Took it back home and the battery is still dead. Make sure to ask the associates to test the battery on the percentage of the battery so that you will save some time in having to bring the battery back. This has happened to me twice already.

I was so incredibly stressed out, and I felt bad about arriving to their shop within 45 minutes of them closing. Right away Ricardo saw my stress and was compassionate and thoughtful in managing my expectations for the car. By closing time, they had a diagnosis that it was totaled, but they gave me another ~45 minutes to gather my things and make travel arrangements. The whole team I interacted with was very compassionate and kind to me throughout this process. They even offered to hold my car for a couple of days to allow me to get back home safely and make arrangements for a tow. Thank you pep boys at Lakewood Blvd! You guys really helped me out and kept my spirits up in a time of distress.

They even sent me an email reminder the day before the appointment. On the day of the appointment, my wife took the car in and was told that Guillermo was on vacation. I called back and asked for a manager to call me back. They finally called me 3 days later and said that the technician had a family emergency. I asked why they didn't call their customers to notify them and was told it was last minute then I was offered a 10% discount. What a joke. Horrible customer service is an understatement and a 10% discount is unacceptable. Stay away from this place. They obviously don't care about their customers.
