Then, over the next 10 days, a puddle formed in my garage. I wasn't sure what was happening, but no lights came on the dash, no weird noises were heard, and I work every day. Then, a clunking sound appeared. I brought my vehicle here and showed a video of the sound to their "Master Mechanic," who called it the 'Toyota clunk of death.' They told me how sorry they were but it would be $2,600 for the labor and part. I had my vehicle towed to my friend's mechanic, who told me nothing was leaking from the rear, which is the part of the vehicle the 'replacement' needed to go. The new mechanic only tightened a plug after he visualized the entire underside of the vehicle. Magically, after I informed these people my car would be towed to a new shop, the 'Toyota clunk of death' disappeared.

When I took my vehicle in for service, they broke one of the bolts holding the lug nut on the wheel. Their "repair" wasn't to factory restoration quality and looked unsightly. When I arrived, a service ticket was written and there was a $78 charge when I questioned it. I was told by this service manager it would be reimbursed after they fixed my car no more than a couple minutes later the service engineer came out and said the other screw broke also which they knew that was gonna happen. I am inform them of this the day before they had me sit there one hour and if I didn't ask for my car, I would've been ripped off even more than what this service manager did to me. She doubled the charge to $150 stating they worked on my car for an hour, and their labor are $145 an hour. I was never informed of this from the beginning and if I pay, I would not get my car. Then this female service manager had the nerve to tell me bring my car in for an oil change and she'll give me a credit do not do business with this woman or MTI in Winfield Crownpoint, Indiana.

Luckily, I had a retired friend who knew of this tire shop and had done business w/ them. I was fighting to get my tire off and luckily after almost 45 min of battle someone showed up w/ a sledge hammer to knock the tire off the hub. I put my spare on and go to this tire place. They were only open till 6 and my retired pal took the tire to their shop ahead of me. When I arrived the owner showed me a piece of sheet metal that was in the tire and he & his son were putting a patch on. They wanted time for glue to dry. I assured them I was in no hurry to leave. They put my spare tire back in the harness underneath and cranked it up to its closed position and locked it up. Eventually the tire was patched and wheel was put on my car & has been fine since. Damages? $15. Good service, price was fine and they put my spare back in place. I told the guy, hey you were worth $20 today so I gave him a 20. Go here. Reasonable & they will take care of you.

He does my husband's oil changes as well. We recently had a different issue going on with his car. He had to leave it to have them check it but that's not abnormal. They fixed it up and everything is going great. On the sticker they put in your car they don't put the milage you need to have it changed, they put the milage from the date of the oil change. Do the math no problem, I like seeing the milage from when I brought it in. I've had Hyundai Elantras since 2013 and they never had an issue changing my oil. The value is fine, prices are decent, it's not jiffy lube. I would rather use a local business. I'm not sure how one reviewer thought they could get an oil change AND tire rotation for 30.00 Tire rotation can run by itself anywhere from 20-50 sometimes more depending on the car. Make a better choice. If you buy your tires from a tire place typically they will just do your rotation for free.
