Great prices and good service. Will be back. I needed a new tire out on a spare rim and they got it done quickly.

They have such horrible customer service. My dad took his truck to get the AC fixed he tells him oh you need this part my dad takes the truck and the part to him, calls later that day tells him okay just have to fill the AC and it'll be done. At which point i take my mom up there to get it. It's 530 pm they close at 6 I believe so they are eating "dinner" get annoyed by my mother asking them if the truck wS done yet hurries up and fills the AC with an attitude so my mom pays in cash so she doesn't have to give him the debit card and when she gets back boom the line explodes as to which seems like he put way to much refrigerant in there which caused the line to blow. Anyways my dad gets the additional part that they messed up because at this time he had it completely taken apart so really had no choice. Gets that all put in and the next day the vents are blowing hot air without any air/heat being turned on. So they call them like hey it's doing this are you going to fix it? Oliver which is the owner/manager replies well "there are other mechanics who can fix it" all in all do not take your vehicles here unless you enjoy being ripped off! You try to help out your own people and they all become money hungry at some point and time. DO NOT GO TO MIAMI TIRE!! Pedro Oblea lets hear your story? Im sure they have done this to way too often! Oh yeah and they don't "order parts" lol what mechanic doesn't order/get the parts for you????

If I could leave a 0 star review, I would. Do not buy a car from these people. Don't buy from…read moreeither lot (Hobart or Lake Station). Back in late August, my brother brought me to the Hobart locale to buy a car, since I lost my last car in a car accident three weeks before. The car I ended up with was a 2002 Oldsmobile Aurora, which was sold as an 2004. I had to drive to the Lake Station location, however, to place the down payment, since the former had to to update their computer system. Within the same day, I discovered that the car has numerous problems with only two highlighted ones. For one thing, the windshield wiper motor was blown out, so I couldn't use the wipers on the car (Heaven help me if it rained). I couldn't drive it at all if it was raining outside. The second among many problems was that the gas filler neck was rusted out so badly, that a gas cap can't fit it, and would have to be forced on. As a result, when I first drove it off the lot, I tried to put gas in it, and couldn't remove the cap. So the car stopped on me the next morning when I dropped my daughter off at school. AAA had to remove the cap when they came to put fuel in it. They had to wiggle it off, and advised me to put more gas in it immediately, and to put the cap on loosely until I got one that fits. No mechanic shop was able to fix the problems because the parts are no longer in circulation, due to the car's age. Going to find the parts at a junkyard would be a lot challenging as well. The only reparable problem was the windshield wiper motor, which I didn't bother with getting fixed, since everything else couldn't be fixed as easily. The filler neck issue was the biggest reason why I could not legally plate the car, since two weeks after getting it, the check engine light came on. It would fail emissions in the blink of an eye. Then sometime afterwards, the low tire pressure light came on. I discovered that three out of four tires had missing tire caps (that keep air from seeping out) from them when I tried to put air in the tires. All in all, the car was a death trap on four wheels, and was barely in driving condition. The customer service was crappy at its best. John, the douche nozzle that I had the displeasure of doing business with, could never be bothered to answer phone calls about the car's issues. When he did, his attitude towards me was rude and unprofessional. None of the people at either location are very friendly. You have to go to the Lake Station location to make cash payments to them. Both locations are dirty and reek of cigarettes, and the sidewalk is covered in loogies from the smoking. Just disgusting. Their "buy something or get out" brand of customer service is a major turn-off. They don't care at all, and won't give you the time of day if they don't feel like it. Run, not walk, the other way when you wanna buy a car. Not worth it in the end to be bound to a sideline dealer with customer service that's much worse than the merchandise they sell.

I was told my Ford Taurus…read moreneeded a new Transmission for between $3200-5100 and that my PT Cruiser needed to have the engine resealed for $1250 but luckily I shopped these repairs. It turns out the liquid leaking form my PT was mostly transmission fluid which completely leaked out and only needed a new line. As for the Ford Taurus's transmission DISCOUNT TRANSMISSION in Lake Station didn't find an issue with the transmission but rather that the odometer needed to be replaced and PC issues addressed. On another visit in May 2024 my PT broke down just a few miles from Midwest after picking it up which cost me an additional towing fee and repair. This on top of the shady $150 inspection fee they charge which which missed the issue. So what would have been a minimum of between $4450-6350 was thousands less elsewhere. Between Midwest advertising free loaners which were never available, free shuttles which weren't always running or management not answering calls and poor customer service 1 star is justifiable. I strongly suggest skipping Midwest Auto Care and finding an honest company.

However, I'm not quite if I'm impressed with the quality. Am I being too high maintenance?
