I typically just go here for an oil change. It's fast and I'm in and out. The owner Butch is really nice and knows me since I've come in through the years (since 2009). He does my husband's oil changes as well. We recently had a different issue going on with his car. He had to leave it to have them check it but that's not abnormal. They fixed it up and everything is going great. On the sticker they put in your car they don't put the milage you need to have it changed, they put the milage from the date of the oil change. Do the math no problem, I like seeing the milage from when I brought it in. I've had Hyundai Elantras since 2013 and they never had an issue changing my oil. The value is fine, prices are decent, it's not jiffy lube. I would rather use a local business. I'm not sure how one reviewer thought they could get an oil change AND tire rotation for 30.00 Tire rotation can run by itself anywhere from 20-50 sometimes more depending on the car. Make a better choice. If you buy your tires from a tire place typically they will just do your rotation for free. read more

Sent our 2006 Hybrid escape in for an A/C evacuation and recharge. The system needed to be freshened up with new refrigerant and PAG oil after being in service for so long. You can imagine my surprise to receive feedback that the A/C compressor was bad. Something didn't add up. I am a automotive technician by trade, unfortunately I don't have the A/C recovery & charge machine as they are quite expensive. I was able to ascertain the equipment from a fellow technician and completely evaluated the system. Upon conclusion it was clear the system was gassed out and was not able to convert the refrigerant back to a liquid state. I completed the evacuation and recharge myself upon verification of the system integrity via vacuum test. While the compressor was weak as 160k miles would attest, it wasn't dead. I was able to achieve satisfactory pressures and a 49.4 degree center vent temp upon conclusion avoiding a very costly repair. Moral of the story here is trustworthiness. You have to develop a relationship between your clients and your service provider of one that can be worthy of longevity. Unfortunately that was not the case experienced here. Even after speaking with butch regarding the service received, there was still a significant conflict of interest in what needed to be done. Meanwhile I have a happy daughter who can now plan on a future repair. I will continue to look for a facility that is interested in having that trustworthy relationship. read more

Incompetent, rude staff and an owner with primitive knowledge of how to change the oil on one of the most common German cars on the road. Even refused to check the tyres and later found out they won't touch any European cars. I've used Grimmer's in the past with a basic Ford and, looking back, should not even have trusted them with that. Not had one good experience. 8/10 times they recorded the incorrect mileage for the next oil change, forgot to tighten the oil plug bolt (resulting in all the oil leaking out and almost seizing-up my engine), forgot to replace the screws that hold the underneath plastic cover in place which later flew off on the expressway hitting a car and used the most expensive oil when not required without asking first and then insisted on payment. Overpriced, greedy, dishonest, rude and incompetent to say the very least. I have tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and used them several times. Never, never again and I highly advise you to stay well clear of the place. read more

Went to get an oil change (Which I've had two done before there) once they looked under my car the lady said "we can't do it cause of the oil pan size" (I drive a Hyundai Elantra.) I'm like "what? I've had it done here before" the mechanic by my car rudely exclaimed "we don't do them anymore!" I told the lady "oh it's cause of my skidplate underneath my car" she sat there quiet. She knew I knew they were lying to me. If you don't want to change oil on vehicles with skidplates you need to let customers know, don't lie to them! Very rude and very unprofessional. read more

I went here a while back with a flat and was sold a basic tire worth 40 dollars for 110 . I then come back years later and they put the wrong oil in my car and refused to fix it. DO NOT go here they don't know what they're doing!!!! Rude customer service once we got there we were told "not to come here on a rainy day". HORRIBLE!!!! read more

He said just leave it and they could look at it later but might not be able to fix it because it's a big job . He did not even know what was wrong wit the car. read more

I found a nail in my tire and I wanted to see if I could get it patch. Yelp this place and saw great reviews. Drop in and asked if they could help. This is where it went downhill. The gentleman said yes because we got a solid 20 minutes before closing. 20 minutes is more then enough time for a certificate tech with the right tools. It's taking the wheel off the car, the tire off, patch from the inside, put the tire back on the wheel, check for leaks, then put the wheel back on the car and receive payment. Happy customer. Paid technician. What really got me was when he saw the car. It's an older use BMW. He totally flip his tone and said that they can't touch BMW because of the risk. I ask where else I could get this taken care of and he basically shrug his shoulder, went to wash his hand and told me that I should know it since I bought the car and walked away from me. I was standing in shock in the waiting area. That level of professional and customer service was uncalled for. I would totally understand if he come off as......we don't have BMW trained technician for the job and I don't know where you could go for help. This is the first time I own a BMW. I am going thru a learning curve myself. However, as I was driving away....I saw a supercharge Cadillac coup on the hoist which to me stand on par with any BMW brand. I felt that I was stereotype/prejudged. I understand the need for mom and pop shop. I want to give them business and be a returning customer. The sense of urgency of having to drive my car with a nail in the tire which put everyone on the road in danger did not sit well as I have to search around the area again. Lucky I found a BMW dealership not that far away. I am new to the area. I hope that others will have a better experiences at this place and will get the help/service/customer relation they need. Today's goal was to make as many people smile for me and then I took my car to Grimmer's and they made me smile. I have now been there 3 times and every time they were upfront, knowledgeable and honest about what was needed. I was not sold on things not needed, badgered, or strung along. Just left Grimmers after getting an oil change on our long drive to NH. They are so nice there!!! They came recommended by my fiancé's uncle and we are so glad we went there. They do a fast, quality job and are incredibly personable. All the guys there were chatting with us and making jokes, it was a very pleasant experience.
