No one asked my name or identifying information, which is usually standard in making an appointment (red flag). When I showed up at 11 for my oil change, I wasn't greeted warmly at all. I got a dry stare from the employee behind the counter after informing him that I had an 11 AM appointment. I was then told that he "wasn't going to help me." When I inquired as to why, the employee told me he should have gotten paid two days ago & if he didn't get paid, he wasn't working. I said "and how is this my problem?" Because what rule of customer service is this? And he let me know he was not going to service my car. So I went to a different Midas location. If you aren't going to pay your employees, don't own a store. And employees, if you aren't receiving your wages, you really shouldn't be at work, wasting the time of customers who expect a specific service. The display I witnessed today was embarrassing & childish. Get it together.

Over the last three years, I have purchased 8 tires, countless oil changes, three tire alignments, brakes and pads, a rim, a tire barring thing, and an embarrassing amount of tire patches. Chip and his team have been there with me along the way. Walk-in or appointment, I am always greeted warmly and made to feel comfortable. The service is quick, informative, fairly priced, and not intimidating at all. Here are some of the highlights: *Easy key drop box for off-hours car drop off, with envelopes *The service team has taken me back in the shop to show me certain things on my car when I didn't understand *Sometimes when waiting for my car, I go across the street to a restaurant. Chip will walk my keys over if I don't hear my cell phone ringing! *I went through a divorce in this time and he assisted me in getting all of the account information changed over in a very gentle, smooth manner. *I had fraud on my debit card, was trying to use another card that wouldn't work because of a student limit (I transferred funds to my son's card thinking it would work) so Chip took the shop shuttle and drove me to the bank so I could get cash. Always helpful, very gracious, not annoyed by my situation. THE BIG ONE - From getting to know Chip over the last three years, we discovered that we live in the same small Indiana town. I recently had a bad house fire and had been displaced. Chip recognized that it was my house that had the fire so when he found I had dropped my car off for some repairs, he took it upon himself to organize among him and the team to change out my brake light free of charge. Why? Because he and his team wanted me to have one less thing to worry about during this time of tragedy. I will literally never go anywhere else for car repairs specifically because of Chip. Avoid Munster Marathon like the Bubonic Plague!…read more Munster Marathon has changed hands and does NOT know how to run a business properly. Came to buy $20 of gas here today... I have been coming here for years as I my family lives in Munster. I walk in, as the attendant who is counting money and didn't seem to want to be bothered with my request. I said I'd like $20 of gas. Rudely points to a little sign on the side of the register asking you to know what pump you're at. I said I didn't know. So I looked out the door, I said I am across from pump 9 so that must be pump 10 he said... I go out there to pump and no gas! Run back inside and the airhead working there says Ok go back out there. Again, NO gas! I go in a third time and he says somebody stole my gas. Who steals $20 of gas in Munster, Indiana on a Sunday morning? Somebody just pumped $21.30 worth of gas. How does that amount match the $20 I gave him? In walks a female customer who has absolutely nothing to do with the incident points to the sign that says know your pump number. I have a few choice words for her too! Like mind your own business! I told him I was across from pump 9. He works there, not me! I'm responsible for this attendant's mistakes. I threaten to call police, he rudely says I call them for you! I wait and tables are turned to make the customer look like the thief and troublemaker. This gas station has changed hands and is run like a sh*t hole. No responsibility on their part. Police arrive and I have an incident report and the owners number. I guess you're not allowed to get irate if you fork over 20 bucks to a business and do not get your gas!~ NO RESPONSIBILITY ON THEIR PART! It's not about the 20 bucks it's about the principle. Poor way to run a business and ALL of us should be aware and it would be wise NOT to patronize this establishment if they do not know how to treat customers! DO NOT PAY WITH CASH HERE! ...
