Russ was such a nice guy and he referred me to Alamo as it's also a AAA accredited shop for further assistance with my vehicle, I believe he actually works from that garage. And after seeing how nice Russ was and after reading other reviews I figured Alamo wouldn't be a bad place to try out and boy was my instinct correct !!!!!!!! As I was advised I took my truck there for a battery replacement and it was the only vehicle I had to get around in given my old beater was also being worked on. I brought it there and Allen got me in and out and made me feel comfortable regarding the always tedious and annoying situation of just being able to even get to the battery in my truck. I was grateful he got me taken care of so at least now I have one vehicle to get around in and plus I was appreciative they didn't murder my already depleted pockets. While I waited Tracey seemed cool too with nice conversation. I knew after getting out with my truck quickly then that I had a shop that I could possibly rely on in my area, which is hard to find as most know. Well I after paying money that I didn't have to get my other car out of another shop ( where the people aren't as nice as in Alamo ) lol, that car now abruptly, allllll of a sudden crapped out on me with even worse trouble ( seemingly transmission related ) so the first thing I thought was if I can get it anywhere let me try to get it to Alamo, especially given I didn't wanna use my last allotment of service claims for a tow with AAA. Thank GOD after fooling with the car myself and putting trans fluid in and sitting in disbelief, as well as serious despair in between and then thinking the car wasn't gonna make it, ultimately I made it to Alamo and it seemed after explaining my trouble to Allen that he's pretty knowledgable and gets it even though he hadn't looked at the car yet so I was again pretty comfortable with having my car there. There's no twist here because it turns out that Allen called to tell me days later that it ain't looking good because it maybe indeed the trans, and he empathized with me and even though times are hard for these car shops and the price of parts, etc due to tariffs, he still empathized and waved my diagnosis fee and boy did I need that, because between my financial situation and the sudden trouble I was having with these cars it's been unreal. For this I am extremely grateful and will forever be a customer and I strongly recommend and seriously advise folks that care about getting GOOD SERVICE from people that care in these days of the cold cold world we live in that you take your car to Alamo for any car related need. They won't disappoint. In the midst of my car recent car troubles the one thing I can say that's good is at least I have met a lot of genuinely nice and trustworthy people in car shops in my area and Allen and the whole shop is in that number for sure.
