The hummus was very smooth, garlicy, and garnished with olives and a little sprinkle of pepperoncini. Seved with tender, warm pita. Delicious! The babaganush was also very good. We tried the gyros sandwich and the chicken shwarma sandwich. Both were works of art, large and overflowing with crispy lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, meat and sauce. I had the Arabic gyros sandwich wrapped in a grilled tortilla. Easier to eat and also fabulous. The falafel was very crunchy on the outside and very tender inside, with a wonderful dipping sauce. Came here last Tuesday and got a bunch of Gyro sandwich's and Greek fries. Place is quiet and conveniently surrounded by other food stops and Fredmeyer grocery store. Fries we're addictive (10/10), so much so that we came back yesterday to try the Sweet Potato(6/10) and Special Heroes Fries(9/10). Gyros were good(7/10), not the best but not the worst. This time we also tried their chicken Shawarma plate(8/10), beef/lamb Gyro plate(7/10) and hummus plate(9/10). All so good and the plates are such great portions that were probably going to stick with plates from now on. Service was quick and staff funny. Decided to finally try this place. Friday afternoon, around 3pm. No customers, so I was wondering if it would be good. It was FABULOUS!!! I ordered the Gyro Plate. It was a huge meal, easily enough for 2 people. The rice was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The lamb and beef were also perfectly seasoned and tender. The salad was so, so delicious, perfect combination of ingredients. I am particular about my sauce, and this sauce was amazing!! It came with a nice wrapped warm pita that was soft and fresh. I can't get over the flavor, even just the salad was better than most places, tzatziki sauce perfect, rice and chicken yumm. I can easily turn this plate into two meals. The meat is waaaaaay over spiced. Once I got the gyro that tasted the way gyro should. The last 4 times I got it, it was so over spiced with paprika that it was barely distinguishable from the shawarma. I don't know if the cooks are accidentally double seasoning everything but it shouldn't be so thick and cloying that you can't taste the meat. The last two times I got their beef and lamb, it made me so nauseous from over seasoning that I had to save the rest for the fridge hoping that the next day I could finish it. I couldn't the last time and had to toss it. The salads are huge, but super watery. The hero fries are way too creamy, almost as if they dumped a bunch of sour cream and feta on fries. Think of it being on par with a rich clam chowder. They need an acid of some sort to cut that flavor. BUT! All the meat is gluten free, or so I'm told. I haven't eaten all the meat. I'm celiac so I can't personally attest, but I've been told the baklava is amazing. That said, I keep trying to give this guys a chance but each order is very inconsistently seasoned. Order here if you want to sit on the toilet all day. Food is undoubtedly delicious, however, customer service is terrible. Imagine calling to request for an item then having them saying "OK" then hanging up... I have ordered here many times but this last time the worker was terribly rude and they definitely tampered with our food. My boyfriend politely ordered gyros with hot sauce and we have been on the toilet for two days after eating their gyros. Not a great way to enjoy the weekend. I was super stoked to find a good Mediterranean restaurant out in Renton. This place used to have a food truck business but now have a restaurant of their own. I ordered the chicken shawarma plate and was blown away by the portion size. It could literally feed two people. The meal included hummus with pita bre and a side salad. I liked them all but especially the gyro platter and swarma. I can eat those two items until the cows come home. They are yummy. The gyro salad is so-so but everything else is great. Orders at truck come out pretty fast. Wish you could order online and just pick it up but it's pretty fast. Guys working truck are nice that I dealt with. We had just had a bad experience at the Sunset Bistro (rude, rude, RUDE), came here instead. So very glad we did. The service; exemplary - the food; fresh, hot, flavorful and sizable portions. I'm not into Greek food, but my wife loves it, so when we go, I end with a veggie dish and/or dahlmas. But this place had a terrific selection. I got the chicken skewers and wife had the Gyro plate. OMG; we both enjoyed our meal tremendously. The humus on my plate was the best humus I've ever had. And the chicken was so moist and flavorful, with a wonderful garlic sauce drizzle (none of that nasty tzaziki sauce all Mediterranean places like to put on everything. To be fair, my wife said the tzaziki sauce was wonderful.) And the fellow behind the counter was as nice and welcoming as could be. Made for a wonderful experience.
