Came here on a Sunday night, not super busy and I'm not sure why. They offered us a free sample of the chicken + beef/lamb combo meat (which was delicious). I ordered the chicken gyro combo with salad and a soda. The chicken gyro itself was delicious and seasoned to perfection, while not being overly salty or spicy. The salad was a delightful, fresh, classic greek salad. Overall for the price, not bad (though i wouldnt regularly purchase this meal in this economy). The ambiance was nice! The cashier was so nice and recommended a lamb shawarma plate pretty quickly. At first I thought it was expensive, but I can see why it's pricier than other places after seeing the ample amount of food. I had leftovers for another meal after! Some of the best Lamb Shawarma and Greek Fries I can remember. Big spicy chunks of lamb that did nothing but bring me joy. Greek Fries were not the usual soaked in white sauce, but had a vinegar sauce binding the feta to the wonderfully crispy fries. My wife had the falafel salad and was also extremely happy. Stopped by Wednesday for dinner. We were surprised to see a fresh and newly (to us) remodeled inside. Three bright new TVs to display their menu. The TVs are easy to ready, but I do admit being used to the old menu it took us a bit of scanning to find our usual order. They put in new flooring and front counter. It looks decluttered and cleaner! Makes their space look so much bigger. The food hasn't changed, it's just as tasty and good as before. This time we got the gyro plate and gyro sandwich but spicy. I wouldn't say I like the spicy more or less, it's just different. maybe something to get when your in the mood for spicy. While waiting for our food I was happy to see others order and wait too! Today was my first visit. Got a standard gyro sandwich with a side of tzatziki after reading reviews that indicated the food could be dry (those review were accurate.) The menu seems kind of a giveaway that this place isn't serious about service great gyros, despite the name: you can get fish and chips and a bunch of other grab-bag items. This makes clear that nothing is made in-house. The comment about Costco tzatziki is probably right, because although I've never tried Costco brand, what they serve doesn't even taste like any tzatziki I've ever had (Mr. Gyros, anyone?). As you can see from the photo, lots of meat, basically little else. One thin slice of tomato, and a light amount of shredded lettuce from a bag. Stayed in the Northgate area during our trip to Seattle. This establishment was a few blocks from us, so we went to grab lunch before needing to be in downtown. Ordered the combo plate to share, came out in good time. However, there was a fly that decided to stay on the salad. This cut into our time, and we won't be making our appointment without a meal. Went to the cashier, showed them the plate with bug (still lounging on a cucumber). They wanted to refire the dish, and we told them we have no time, and need to get the meal refunded. Cashier had the owner on the phone, I was handed the phone, and owner said refund permitted, but she wants to at least feed us. Within 3 minutes, had 2 shawarma wraps and fries in a bag, and out we went. This customer service is fantastic, and I had no doubt the food would taste great. There is real promise in the food and people that work there. 4 stars out of 5, not a perfect score due to lack of cleanliness in the dining area. If this one item is worked on, and maintain the cleanliness, This establishment is a real gem. Or, make this place a pure take-out only venue, and no one will have the bug issues. read more

Ok if you have a paying customer and you do not let them use the rest room it's just not loving your brother as yourself , it's just bad business. We happened upon this hole in the wall place and it was incredible. The meat was delicious, the tzatziki flavorful, the pita fresh and warm, and the fries were outstanding (my boys could not stop voicing their approval, so good) The woman at the counter was warm and welcoming and sent us off with extra pistachio baklava (which was perfection). We don't live in the area otherwise this would be our go-to gyro spot. Definitely plan to return ... highly recommend. *the one drawback was that the bathroom was closed due to maintenance and no other shop along the strip would allow us to use theirs. :/ I think it's really set up as more of a takeaway place, with just a couple of tables, but not having a bathroom for dine in customers is rough. read more

Rip Off! I have been going here for years, but my last experience really soured me on this place. The worst offender was the Horiatiki Salad. It wasn't a salad, it was cucumbers. 90% cucumbers, 5% tomato (and mostly the white bitter stuff you don't want), 5% peppers (I counted 5 small diced up pieces TOTAL), maybe a couple of strings of onion, and no feta cheese. The cherry on top was that it literally only had ONE OLIVE sliced up and thrown on top like a garnish. I got it as it is described as a salad with OLIVES (PLURAL)! Not only was I lied to, but they added insult to injury with that one, sad, sliced up olive. I will not be returning. My gyro (too much lettuce, old stale bread that tasted off, not enough sauce or meat) and side of Tzatziki (way over priced for the size and lacking in flavor) wasn't any better than my experience with their "salad." My money is better spent elsewhere where I am not scammed. Their decision to substitute cheap stuff instead of providing what they promise in order to steal from their customers is appalling. read more

I ordered the chicken gyro plate and it was delicious! It was the BEST gyro chicken meat I've ever had. Flavors and texture were perfect for the entire meal. I will say this. I have been working in the area for several years and have gone to this place many times. The staff has changed only twice. And I understand that this is a family-owned business. The first few years I went here, everything was awesome. The food was amazing. The staff was incredibly nice and generous.. That all has changed as of a few months ago. They not only serve gyros, but they also sell fish & chips and burgers. I used to buy the burgers there.. everything was delicious.. Until the day I took a bite and found a huge, long human strand of hair embedded INSIDE the burger patty. I couldn't finish my lunch after that. I didn't even bother going back to complain to them because in the past they had been so nice to me. They sometimes gave me free soda or even fries since I had been a long-time customer. So I just figured that after finding that large hair in my burger that I just wouldn't go back for a bit. There was another instance where I went to sit down at one of the tables while waiting for my food, and then I looked down, and there little thick pieces of human hair scattered all over the table in front of me, like someone just finished shaving/trimming their beard there and then got up and left. I noticed in another old review on here that someone else also found hair in their shawarma. Even after all of this happened, I would STILL go back occasionally just to buy a soda or fries from them, since I know that the fries come pre-packaged and go directly into the fryer, then go directly into the to-go box, so I figured at least the fries had to be safe. But when I had stopped coming in for a while and stopped making big purchases of food there, the lady that works there in the kitchen started acting kind of "cold" towards me all of the sudden. Maybe because I went from buying my lunch there almost every single day to just buying small things from them every once and a while? I don't know.. Well, recently I decided to start going back more often again to at least order their fries, since they do have amazing French fries. But when I came in to place my order, the lady started trying to chat me up just like she used to do, and I told her (as nicely as I possibly could) that I unfortunately only had 10-minute breaks now, and I needed to be able to get back to my shift on time. This lady decided to retaliate the next day when I rushed in to get another order of fries. She said to me: "I'm eating my lunch right now, you can wait".. As she is sitting there munching on a small snack while watching a t.v. show on her phone. There was nobody else in the tiny restaurant to go make my order since this lady just refused to. My first time here. Nothing exceptionally bad, but I'm not interested in returning. The place is very popular and is very busy around lunch time with pre-orders. Both the clientele and cuisine appear authentic. I waited appx 15 minutes for a simple run-of-the-mill lamb gyro. Pluses: It came with a TON of meat. Minuses: Very greasy and messy with tzatziki sauce completely invisible under all the meat. I was half-way through the sandwich before I found it. And even then it was all of two bites worth. Definitely needed more tzatziki. Suggestions: Bigger kitchen, more staff. read more

I got the veggie "sandwich" with feta and hummus (extra charge for both) and hubby got the large gyro or jumbo gyro... can't remember the name but it was supposed to be bigger. It didn't seem to be but whatevs. He enjoyed it a lot. Bestie got a gyro and really liked it. It had a MASS amount of meat, yo. She couldn't take all that meat. ;) We also shared the Greek fries, which we liked but they were more vinegary and had no sauce so it was different than what I'm used to. Ruby and her staff are so sweet and lovely. The vegetarian options are incredible and the garlic mayo fries are HEAVEN!! I love how many options they have and everything is made fresh that day. My wife is a big meat eater and the lamb gyro is her favorite of all time.
