I passed this place many times coming and going to work in the area and thought I would give it a shot. Super disappointed. For 10 bucks I expect much more meat in the gyro sandwich than I received. Also the pita fell apart as I was eating it which was not a good experience. I don't think a fresh pita that was heated up properly would have done that. It's not my first time eating a gyro and this hasn't happened to me. From a marketing standpoint...my two cents to the owners is don't call something a special if it's not really special. Brace yourself ... I've actually found a Healthy Hamburger !! Their burgers are huge too! Great portion size and a great deal for your money I always get the burger and either a salad or tabouli - both very healthy and filling. It's a tucked away hidden find but well worth it. I order right through the "Gyro Cafe" app and the friendly staff have it ready when I get there. Nice corner store next to Taco Mac and a bunch of other great restaurants. There's outdoor seating and tables too, which is nice when I bring my dogs with me. Extra parking in the back if you need it. read more

As a long time fan of gyro sandwiches I came here to try. The gyro was made to order fresh with good ingredients . The fries were good too but trying to stat healthy i should have opted for the salad. Most places usually give you too much tzatziki sauce but they put on just enough! Wow ! So much goodness. I'm a big fan of Mediterranean food so this was a perfect selection for lunch. Haven't had gyros in a long time so I had a mouth ready to be wowed in flavor and they succeeded ! I ordered the lamb gyro with hummus and let's just say it tasted so fresh. Nothing was dry or over cooked - just perfect. If you're in the Alpharetta area or familiar with Fooda at work - take advantage. Gyro cafe did not disappoint. THAT gyro has two main pronunciations: /YEE-roh/ and /ZHIHR-oh/. You can go ahead and hit that "useful" vote now... Gyro Cafe isn't fancy. Service isn't very friendly. It's not hip, it's not trendy, it's not cool. It does however have some pretty decent food. Falafel wrap was delicious and a good deal for what you get. Overall, A-ok! read more

I was really craving a chicken gyro tonight. I looked on Yelp, and although the reviews weren't all that, I decided it was close to home and how badly can one really mess up a gyro? The small corner store is in a strip shopping center on the corner of Windward Parkway and Main Street. It was completely empty in there and now I know why. The place was filthy! My food was ready within 5 minutes. I ordered a chicken gyro with Greek fries to go. When I got home and opened the container, I was faced with soggy fries and a gyro that smelled rotten! The meat was dark meat chicken (if that's what it was), and full of fat. It really smelled "off". The chicken chunks were topped with wilted lettuce, chopped tomatoes, and chopped onions. The concoction was drenched in a thin, wet, supposedly Taziki sauce. The wrap was soaked and you couldn't even hold it without it falling apart. I will never EVER step foot in that place again! I'm afraid to know what the health inspector has rated it! I threw everything away. I'm extremely frustrated that dives like this are allowed to serve the public. Shame on you! read more

This place visited my office building as part of Fooda. It was terrible. The meat was dry the wrap breading was dry and the little sauce they put on it didn't help the dryness and had no flavor. I had a mixed gyro with chicken lamb and beef all dry and over cooked I was choking. And the meats had no flavor. Thier menus board said "make it a platter ". So I asked for gyro and make it a platter which was add rice nd salad. He said that's not what that says I have to get one or the other. Guy didn't understand his own menu board!! read more

Ordered for the first time via DoorDash and was disappointed on multiple levels. Delivery was actually quicker than expected, but the quality of the food was definitely sub-par. The falafel was huge and shaped like a hamburger patty. It was extremely dense, dry, not at all crisp and didn't taste like any falafel I've ever had. The most I can say is it did appear to be made of primarily chick pea. The lamb gyro meat was fairly generous, but dry and hard. I will not be returning or reordering for delivery. We randomly drove past this restaurant and were deciding between Jimmy Johns or Gyro Bros. Why not try something new? We tried Gyro Bros and were pleasantly surprised at the pricing and quality of their menu items! I ordered a falafel sandwich which cost $5.49. I had no idea what to expect! It was fantastic! I even asked for tzatziki sauce instead of tahini sauce and it was no problem. The tzatziki sauce was delicious! This restaurant has been open for over 7 years. There weren't many people in there at the time we went on a Tuesday at 7:30pm but they said lunch time is booming with business. We ordered at the front counter and the food was brought to our table. Our Athens office had this delivered (purchased by a wonderful equipment rep). The food was not fresh. The salad looked to be a couple of days old with brown edges and the chicken tasted like cardboard. The tea was sour and had chucks of mold in the bottom of the jugs. It was the most disgusting food and drinks I have had in a long time. The only food we got that was edible was the rice and hummus. I was a loyal Gyro Cafe catering customer and have spent $100's on orders. I placed an order yesterday through EZCater and was informed by a client that their address had changed. I informed EZCater immediately the day before the order was set to go out and they kindly updated the address to the correct one, which was only 10 minutes away from the old one (Glenridge to Peachtree RD in Buckhead). Gyro Cafe informed EZCater that they would not be able to reroute their driver a mere 10 minutes (if even that) to fulfill the order. I felt like it was kind of a slap in the face to someone that was a repeat catering customer and now I will not use nor recommend them to anyone. That's not how you do business. Not that good. Ordered a Greek salad with chicken. Not sure what it is with Greek or Mediterranean places but, they give you a huge salad with a thimble of dressing. I don't understand. The dressing wasn't that traditional Greek style and seemed like balsamic you can buy in a grocery store. Also, the olives have pits in them! That's a deal breaker. The salad side reminded me of an exploded gyro - think what you had in your gyro, just more of it spilling out of the plate. Yes, I realize what a salad is too. We decided to give this gyro shop a try today and it was a nice experience. It's located in the Taco Mac shopping center next to Windward Pkwy. For the money you do get large portion size. The gyros are much bigger than the ones at the gyro shop close to our office. Most everything is under $8. The stuffed eggplant is a nice dish with diced zucchini, red sauce, and Parmesan cheese sprinkled on top. It is Greek fast food so you shouldn't expect a lot from it, but they do have some menu items beyond wraps which does make it a little different than just a sandwich shop. read more

So I ordered off Uber Eats and I ordered from "Saint Pita" to get there and the food looks completely different than the pictures on Uber eats. The restaurant is called saint pita on Uber eats buts it's really called gyro cafe with a completely different menu. Like what kind of shadiness y'all got going on?! Gyro Cafe is working under a different name on Uber Eats. If I would have known that, I would have never ordered it. The reviews are true. I ordered a "Lamb Pita" Pocket, which turned out to be just a lamb pita, and it was completely unseasoned. So not only did I order from a place on Uber eats that was actually called something else, with a completely different menu, the food was pictured differently, but it was gross on top of it? I ordered the lamb gyro plate and it was just ok. I liked that it came with rice but the meat was so over cooked and crunchy. I ordered a side of feta and an extra tatziki sauce and I'm glad I did. It helped the meat be more edible. I also liked that the salad didn't come pre-dressed so the pita didn't get soggy.
