It is the only local venue that is historic, comfortable, and amazingly lovely. Plus, it also was the place THE BLOB was filmed there! Check it out!

The play (School of Rock) was boring and most of the instruments were little better than toys - sound was obviously controlled from backstage. Even soda and water were overpriced. Needed to have another employee get our waitress so we could pay our bill. No credits, no refunds, so if you can't make the show, you are royally screwed. Would never return here again.

I love…read morethe setup -- dinner first, then the first half of the show, dessert, and then the rest of the show. It keeps the night flowing and makes it feel like a full experience. The theatre itself is nice and simple, and I like that you pick your table ahead of time. From the moment we sat down, every staff member greeted us, which was such a nice touch. They walked us through how the night would go, and everything felt super organized. For appetizers, we had mac and cheese and bruschetta -- both solid choices. The mac and cheese was simple but tasty, and the bruschetta was fresh and flavorful. For entrées, we went with the salmon (roasted potatoes & string beans) and the filet mignon (same sides). The salmon was a little overcooked, and I do wish we could have picked our own sides, but it wasn't a dealbreaker. Everything was still good. Dessert was hands down the highlight. The apple crisp and brownie sundae were amazing. And then the show... wow. The acting, the singing, the dancing; all fantastic. They absolutely crushed Footloose! Definitely recommend this place if you want dinner and a show all in one. I'd go again in a heartbeat. 1000000000/10 recommend.

Personally I am not a willing theatre goer but the lovely wife is 100% down on this type of stuff and over the years I've been drug to more shows than I can remember. Off the top of my head over the years we've seen: Blithe Spirit Shakespeare for Kids Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street Henry VIII The Two Noble Kinsmen The Merry Wives of Windsor The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) (Which is my favorite) There are more but as you see there are all of the Shakespeare classics done plus a good mix of musicals, dramas, kids shows and other works which are non-Shakespeare which make for a something for everyone approach which if you're into this type of thing appeals to a much broader spectrum of people. The season itself only lasts nine or ten weeks every June-August and ticket prices have gotten a bit steep in the fifty dollar per person range but no seat is a bad seat in either of the two spaces where the shows are put on and the sets, sound, lighting and acting are always first rate. There certainly might be nicer looking places to watch Shakespeare but I highly doubt you'll find a more talented group of people putting on the show.

Thinking about it gives me nostalgia for the late summer. You pay an entrance fee (I forget the exact amount, somewhere between $10-$15) but it includes all the rides and some games. This is great if you are taking kids, so you won't have to worry about tickets, tokens or any other methods of payment. The food is phenomenal for being festival food (but then again I love Polish food). For fair prices you can get potato pancakes, pierogies and imported beer. They have musicians and dancing for entertainment, though I suggest if you're interested in that kind of thing going later on, since that's when the bulk of it happens. Overall this is a fun event and worth checking out.

The Roxy Ballet is housed in, what is called, The Canal Studios, way down on the end of Union St. in Lambertville. The performance space is very intimate, which we loved. The Ballet is supported by, in part donations. They also have classes for young people. F and I were so close to the dancers, we were able to see the whites of their eyes. All the performances were emotional and heartfelt. We love see such wonderful talent so close to home and on such an intimate level. Looking forward to the next show.

Everything from the music, to the concerts was well put together and I was stunned by how swiftly the dancers twirled and glided across the stage. The stage area was intimate and spacious, and surprisingly the seats were comfortable up in the balcony section.
