What fantastic magic in an intimate setting. Every seat in the house is super comfortable and had a good view. it's a must go. We went once and are regulars! read more

They did a nice job converting this grand old bank lobby into a theater. We went on a Friday night for the 8PM show. Found a lot of dining options 1 mile down the road in Keswick Village. We were greeted I Immediately upon entering the building and didn't even need to pull up our tickets, we just needed to confirm our last name and row. They have two sets of restrooms which makes it easier for guests that might have to step out for a minute to use them. Plenty of parking behind the bank and also a municipal lot next to that. Parking on the street is free after 8PM. We saw Mike Miller a local magician from Philadelphia, lots of wows and laughs. Worth every penny! read more

Smoke & Mirrors Magic Theater - Front row puts you close to the illusions and was only $10 more. - Performing Arts Near Me - Glenside, Pennsylvania

I attended the Saturday night show on July 11, 2026, specifically to see Javi Benitez, who was prominently advertised on Smoke & Mirrors Theater's website and marquee as the featured performer. Unfortunately, he never appeared. What made the experience even more disappointing was that the theater apparently knew in advance that Javi Benitez would not be performing but continued to advertise him anyway. Customers were not informed of the substitution until just before the show began, after everyone had already arrived and paid for their tickets. Had I known that the advertised performer would not be appearing, I would not have attended. Continuing to advertise a performer who is no longer scheduled and waiting until the last minute to tell customers is misleading and shows a lack of respect for patrons. The replacement performer may have been talented, but that's not who I purchased a ticket to see. Customers deserve accurate advertising and timely notice of significant changes to a show's lineup. Unfortunately, this experience has left me with little confidence in Smoke & Mirrors Theater's business practices. I hope they improve their communication with customers and consider offering refunds or other compensation when advertised performers are unable to appear. I cannot recommend attending future shows unless the theater is more transparent about changes to its advertised lineup. read more

The new venue looks magnificent and a seriously amazing upgrade of the old venue. The stage is much larger with a curtained area. The seating arrangement is just like the old theater with all the wall decorations. There's plenty of street parking, which is great for people who are familiar with the area. The old venue had a convenient parking lot in front of the venue. There are lot of food options around for a quick bite to eat prior or after the show. It's a great place to watch magic shows. About the only issue I had was I wish the owner took a picture of me with the three magicians from the act. I know he was busy handing out flyers but he took a picture for the previous group with the magicians. He just said to me, "Get someone else to take the picture." One of the three magicians took a picture of me with the other two magicians, but it would've been nice to get all three in the picture with me. I'm pushing 60 (and I paid extra to get a front row seat), so photo memories like this would be nice. read more

Wonderful place to watch top notch magicians perform. This was our 3rd show. All have been great entertainment. This week was Will Fern. High energy and great sleight of hand. read more

We attended the family magic show, and we were blown away at the level of talent of the magician. As hard as we tried to see how his tricks were done, we could not catch him. Total professional!! He involved the audience often and was very engaging considering it was a room full of restless kids. We will definitely be back!! read more

It was a fun experience. The magic was good and the magicians were engaging. Tickets were reasonable for the event. We thought there would be a store or museum to visit after the show. read more

What a great experience! Loved the magicians performing August 15! Great theater, perfect view from every seat. charming hosts! highly recommended! Catch dinner before the show at Trevi Cucina just down the street. Excellent! read more

We saw Chris Randall at Smoke & Mirrors--and all four of us had a great time! He's very skilled and a great entertainer. We were mystified and entertained. The theater has been creatively carved out of an old bank building, and it's very comfortable and intimate in scale. Every seat is a good one! And after the act, you can explore the old bank vault, which is quite a sight in itself. So what are you waiting for? You'll have a good time, just go! read more

Highly recommend Smoke & Mirrors Magic Theater. It's a terrific venue! Easy parking and check-in. Seating is very comfortable. There are clear sightlines throughout the theater. We were mesmerized by accomplished, award-winning Master Magician Chris Capehart. His close-up magic is astonishing.More than a few things he did left us wondering, as it should be. Wonderful experience yesterday, May 23, 2026! read more

We had a great time! We save David Merlin, and he was awesome. He got the audience involved and had mixed in some comedic moments. My husband LOVES magic. He looked like he was a kid in a candy store. I highly recommend attending a show. read more

The venue is magnificent! Top notch staff! Plenty of parking. The main theater is the perfect size for magic. I wish I had more time to explore the rest of this converted bank complete with a magic museum and a smaller "close up " theater. We attended the "Dr. Morbius Old Fashioned Ghost Show." The show was fun and entertaining but did seem a little slow paced at times and too long. It would behoove Dr. Morbius to cut back on the amount of tricks in the show. IMHO. That being said, the one negative, at least the night we were there, is the MUSIC WAS TOO LOUD! Earsplitting at some points. I honestly thought the sound man was trying to blow out the PA. Theater management really needs to put a check on that. All in all it's great to see a venue dedicated exclusively to magic and magicians in the Philly the area. We certainly will return to see some of the many upcoming acts. read more

Fantastic show. The magician was amazing. Every seat in the theatre gives you a great view. Parking lot in the rear

Took our grandchildren to the matinee and they absolutely loved it. Very entertaining.

Top talent. A wide variety of performers. An intimate theater where every seat has a great view.

SoOo MUCH FUN! We didn't know what to expect as 1st timers to this wonderful & mystical venue. From the moment we walked in, to the time we were leaving, we felt so welcomed by this great group of people. Loved the decor - lots of history of famous magicians & colorful old time posters & memorabilia of master magicians. There is a very comfortable & large waiting area with another separate large lounge area for 'pre-show' hanging for drinks (BYOB) & chilling with your group. The theater is perfect & sits a small crowd (60 comfortable seats) - we could see everything from our seats. Both my husband & I were actually invited to participate in the show! Hilarious & so much fun = we were amazed & stupefied!! We took the hour+ trip from the NJ shore & I'm glad we found this mystical jewel. The performers were professional, so much fun = they wowed us with their prestidigitation & skills!! The outside of the building has only the 'Smoke & Mirrors Magic Theater' sign by the entrance & 1st impression gives absolutely NO hint of what is about to happen inside! TRULY MAGIC!!!! We will be back! read more

I hope this tucked away theater gets more visibility because the show was incredible. 10/10! Everything was entertaining and surprising. I had doubts about a show of card tricks being entertaining for over an hour, and my doubts were definitely wrong. If card tricks were that fun, I can only imagine what the other shows are like with illusions like sawing a person in half, making people disappear, etc. All ages (we were with a 13y/o boy, as a 30 something couple, and Middle Aged people to seniors were in the crowd) were equally impressed and gave a standing ovation. Our group will be definitely be returning with more family and friends. read more

We attended a family magic show this past weekend with Danny Archer hosting and performing and it was great. We had our grand-daughters with us and they loved it too. Danny was really great, handling the sometimes overly rambunctious children in the front row with grace and charm, and honestly, he is a really great magician, doing close magic with great skill. I would recommend the Smoke & Mirrors Magic Theater without reservation. read more

Great theater to see magic up close and personal! Gone are the days of sitting rows back, squinting and trying to see the stage or looking at a larger screen of what is actually going on. One of the best things about the layout of the theater is that in my opinion there's not a bad seat in the house, even in the most back row! This was our second visit to the theater and I already plan to bring some friends back. Most of the performers are a fun mix of magic and comedy, you'll be both rolling around in laughter and child-like curiosity while watching the show. The most recent performance saw, the performer did actually mess up a trick that didn't work out - but despite that we had a great experience and thought nothing less of the venue or the artist. I highly recommend this for a fun night out with the family or friends - check out their event schedule they will list if it's a show geared more towards adults or children/teen friendly! Bonus - BYOB read more

Absolutely terrific evening of fun and magical amazement. I am so impressed that this form of entertainment is available at such a outstanding value in the Philadelphia area. Terrific performances, small and comfortable theater, amazing prices. Even in the back, we had excellent seats. This is the kind of small, quality venue we all crave. These are truly talented performers who love their craft. There was also lots of audience engagement, and you leave feeling like you were a valued and important part of the show. Congratulations to this brand new venue and to the excellent performers. read more

My first time at this "magical" theater. I've lived in the area for years and probably drove by this location a thousand times without knowing it was ever there. Magic!! I can't say I loved either of the magician or the mentalist that performed the night I was at Smoke & Mirrors theater, but I loved the actual theater and the experience. You walk into an actual tiny little theater, with an invitingly charming lobby. The theater room is designed for up close and personal experience, no bad seat in the house. The acoustics were perfect. I would love to come back here for another show! read more
