They do have a bar area and a popcorn stand. I went for their 90 minute cat video event. During the preshow I learned that this is the oldest theater is America! How crazy is that! They have some fantastic shows coming up including many tribute bands as well as movie showings. I'm really hoping to get tickets see Joan Osborne singing the songs of Bob Dylan. If you haven't been here I'd definitely check out their website or Facebook page to see what they have going on that might be of interest,

Not only did we get to enjoy a night out in this charming town, but we also had the chance to be part of a place filled with history and character. Walking into the theatre felt like stepping back in time in the best way--warm, classic, and full of heart. The ambience was absolutely perfect. The cozy, intimate setting made the entire experience feel personal and inviting. From the moment we walked in, the energy was welcoming. The fresh-popped popcorn added that nostalgic movie-night touch, and the bartenders and staff members were incredibly friendly, helpful, and genuinely happy to be there. Their hospitality made the night even better. We came to see The Ultimate Doors, and what a show! The sound, the vibe, and the atmosphere all came together to create a memorable night. It's rare to find a venue that feels both historic and alive, but Newtown Theatre gets it right. We would absolutely love to visit again. If you're thinking about catching a show here--do it. It's an experience you won't forget!

There is a feeling of community amongst the parents, and everyone celebrates each others' successes. It's well worth our 35 minute drive three times a week for us, because we know our daughter is part of a studio that is interested in her dance education rather than just our wallet. Shows are Broadway quality, costumes are tasteful and appropriate, and the choreography is outstanding. The studio itself is homey and gorgeous. You seriously cannot find better in the Bucks County area!

The staff has also been a delight to interact with. Apparently, come spring, the ballet year culminates in a mega performance consisting of all of their classes. Being introverts we were hesitant at first. Our first impression after we signed up was a phone call with the founder of Unscripted Productions, Will. He has great energy and just knew we made the right move after a five minute phone call. The class made us get out of our comfort zone, be silly, take on different personas, make lifelong friends and built trust all while being in a safe environment. We looked forward to our classes as play time and always left feeling energized. We loved it so much that we are looking forward to taking Improv 2.

Will Dennis and his three companions were a high energy team involving the audience in their skits and even calling them up to the stage to join in the spontaneous merriment. Give them three unusual objects, moments in history or dialogue from Neil Simon plays, and they return with an hilarious sketch called out if their interactive imagination. It was all great! We read about the washington crossing open air theatre online and decided to watch the broadway show "Rent" in this theatre. We walked out of the show. It was enacted by 20+ college kids who had no clue about a play. We have watched many broadway shows and even free shows in NYC which were excellent. The show was supposed to be a musical. The language used for the musical was derogatory and the only people cheering in the crowd were the friends and family of the people who were enacting in the show. The show deals with such issues as love, drugs and AIDS among others. The show is what it is - derogatory language and all. If the previous reviewer was looking to see a fun, family-friendly musical, RENT was not the choice to make. I have had the pleasure of seeing many musicals at this theater over the past few years and have always found the productions to be enteraining and well performed. Also, for full length broadway versions of shows, the admission price is very reasonable. It is a fun, affordable day or night out in a wonderful outdoor setting. The shows are varied and there is something for every taste.
