I needed the dress to be roughly 3in shorter because I am on the shorter side and also opened up the slit by 1.5in, normally this would take 2-4 weeks but because I was in such a rush, I was able to pick up my dress the next day! It was $125, I was honestly expecting it to cost much more because I thought that there would be a rush fee (there wasn't). The dress looks amazing and you can't even tell that it ever got altered. I would 100% come back here again at a more timely manner if I ever need something altered.

She gave suggestions when we needed guidance and did a fantastic job on taking my dress in and hemming the bottom, adjusting straps, adding in breast cups and creating my bustle. Nadia also altered my traditional Chinese dress (cheongsam) under the underarms so it fit better. The dress had a lot of embroidery and sequins. You would have never known it was altered! She is also pricier than other seamstresses I've shopped around with. She has a limited schedule. When I did my initial fitting she kind of waited for me to tell her what I wanted fix. I knew dress didn't fit perfectly but I couldn't pin point how to fix it. The seamstress I worked with for my reception dress was a lot more helpful in guiding me on what should be done. The one thing I did ask for (tightened straps), she didn't recommend because she thought it would cut into me when I moved--I was constantly pulling them up on my wedding day. One thing really bothered me. When I booked, she stated there would be 2-3 fittings. However; when I asked when I asked when my 2nd fitting would be she said she was fully booked. Like I said earlier, she has a limited scheduled. I was really nervous, but I was able to book at G&G instead of at her house so I was able to get my second fitting. It food well enough that I didn't ask for any adjustments because I was already frustrated with the situation. The hemming and bustle she did were okay. The extra breast cups she put in were loose and could have been done better. I think Nadia was a skilled seamstress but I would choose someone else if I could do it all again. I would have preferred to use the seamstress I had for my reception dress. The communication, scheduling, and pricing was much better.

This visit, I brought sarah 5 pairs of pants, 4 of which were objectively difficult to hem; two super wide legged pants (one linen and one pleated suit pants), 2 made of this weird thick satin. The last pair was a front pleat cargo pant type dress pant. The way she hems is flawless. It's incredible how I cannot see the hem from the outside of the pant. I can see it's been done on the inside but on the outside you can't see the stitches at all even on very thin fabric. These 5 pairs were a very fair price! 14-18$ depending on the fabric and cut of each pant. I called before my visit because in order to tailor pants you need to try them on and have them pinned at the right length-- this takes time if you need to do it 5x in a row. So I called on a Monday and asked when would be a good time for me to come in Tuesday? She gave me a good time and when I walked in I was seen immediately. Took about 30 mins to do all the pinning. She said come pick them up in two weeks. At the exact two week point she called to let me know that the pants were done. Everything fits perfectly!!
