Unfortunately, this review is not good at all due to the lack of class, judgment, and inadequacy of this establishment. We came here on a date night because we heard nothing but great reviews on this place. We were seated by a very unpleasant hostess who made it known she did not want to be there at all. We waited for a while for a server to come up to us to get our drink order, but that never happened. I was reluctant to leave at first, but then noticed that there was another table across from us a family of four with two kids who were having the same problem too. They waited patiently as we were, but no one was around to serve us because they were all standing at the bar being loud and goofing around. At that point I had enough and we walked out. I have now read the most recent reviews on this establishment after I left and I should have done that before we came here. A lot of unpleasant reviews have been posted for the past six months about this place. So apparently there's a reason why I had the experience I did as everyone else did recently. It's a shame because the Old reviews prior to the past couple of months were phenomenal. Oh wait you guys must be permanently closed by now as one of the other posts said. Now you should understand why. It is what it is, Right?

The vibes were IMMACULATE. Everyone was so friendly, and the atmosphere was chill and relaxed. Loved sitting by the water watching boats pull up. Loved making conversations with strangers nearby. We split the coconut shrimp appetizer. I got the salmon and my brother got the steak. Every thing was perfect. We shared the chocolate lava cake for dessert. It paired perfectly with my cappuccino I will DEFINITELY be back!!!

I made a reservation through OpenTable but needed to make a change, so I called promptly at 12 PM when the restaurant opened. I changed the reservation to a later time and added additional people. When we arrived, however, they could not find the updated reservation and told us to wait a few minutes while they checked to see if they had a table available. While we were waiting, we could hear the girls at the desk and a man with an accent complaining about the changes to our reservation. To be clear, we had called the restaurant directly when they opened to make those changes, so this was not our mistake. At one point, we heard the man say, "Make them wait 40 minutes." Eventually, they found us a table, despite there being well over 10 empty tables in the restaurant. Then, as the girl was seating us, the same man loudly told her that we only had an hour and a half at the table. She then loudly repeated it to us. The entire interaction felt extremely obnoxious and unnecessary. I have been to Salt many times, which is why this experience was especially disappointing. We were a party of seven, which is not an unusually large group, and the restaurant was clearly not crowded. I completely understand that restaurants want to turn over tables, but there is a much more professional and courteous way to communicate that. The way this was handled felt incredibly tacky and rude. If I hadn't had a hungry child with us, I honestly might have left. Thankfully, once we were seated, our waitress was wonderful and provided excellent service. Unfortunately, the behavior we experienced before being seated really put a damper on the overall experience.

They were creative yet still accessible for our children to enjoy. My favorite dish was the steak served with the most delicious jus, cooked perfectly! Some 2nd place ties were the tuna tostada, and the spaghetti cacio e Pepe. Desert was hands down the shining star with the bread pudding which tasted quite a bit like my pouding chomeur, otherwise known as "poor man's pudding". The drinks were fantastic as well. I tried the Davy Crochet and the Oak tree, hubby had Rendez-Voodoo and One of the Boys. All 4 were delicious, however my favorite was the Davy Crochet . The kids tried the mocktails and really enjoyed Happy Together which was quite sweet and refreshing. Sudden Moves was also enjoyed. Would highly recommend, for a date or family outings.

This place is described as tapas-style, so some dishes are on the smaller size, but the more expensive dishes are full portion: the burger, chicken, pasta w/crab, etc. Seems they also change their menu very regularly, as I saw some fantastic looking things in the pictures here, none of which were on the menu. On the more expensive side price wise, and there is a full bar and bourbon selection to punch it higher. Tried a few things, some I'd skip if I came back, but also a few things I'd like to try that I didn't get to. Skippables include the Gouda Gruyères: onion soubise and the cacio e pepe, both underwhelming and more expensive than it should have been. I also tried the gem salad, chicken wings, the rigatoni with sausage and broccoli rabe, and the flan for dessert. Flavors were good, the wings were very heavy on the salt but had good flavor, and everything else was covered in tons of cheese, from the salad to the pasta, it was a lot. Service was quick, waitress friendly. People in the area seem to absolutely love this place and overhearing people talk, there's nothing bad on the menu, and the corn agnolotti was delicious (I was sad to have changed my order, this is what I was originally going to get). Interested in seeing a fall menu for this place!

She immediately got an attitude yelling at him saying all she does is clear the tables she doesn't know anything else. I was ready to go elsewhere but my colleagues wanted to give them a chance to make it right.A young lady appeared asking if someone had gotten us waters. At this point we knew our whole order. She said she would be back with the drinks 20 mins later my co workers goes to check and she never put the orders in. We decided it would probably be best to grab drinks from the bar since the service was slow.My coworkers drink came out with bugs in it.Kids were throwing sand, dogs barking at other dogs a lot of chaos in a small space. The food was underwhelming, I asked for more of the lemon butter sauce that comes with the salmon & rice. She bought me a lemon and drawn butter. The woman that clears the tables came back grabbing things off of our table reaching over my dish. That was the final straw for me we had to find the server for our bill.We ended up getting change from the bar and left the money on the table. Worst Birthday dinner ever!
