Customer service needs to be improved. Had two patio covers installed. Installer worked past 10pm and neighbors started to complain about the loud drilling. This guy was working in the dark! Had to verbally tell the installer to come back. Installer left my side gate (with direct pool access) propped open all day when I was at work. Luckily no kids wandered into my backyard. Propping open the gate caused my retention spring to pop out of place and had to be replaced (at my expense). I addressed all these issues with the owner and all I got was an apology and no response regarding a resolution for the gate spring. All I heard was excuses instead of making things better. We had a patio cover installed a few months ago I think they go by "Patios n Gutters".... I'm in love!! It has transformed our yard into something we want to spend time in!! The quote was no nonsense- I responded to a Facebook ad- and the pricing was consistent with what was published- and thousands less than someone else!! The scheduling was fairly fast.... The workers were nice.. when they drilled into my stucco they got a pipe. I noticed the leak the next day when I went up there to look the only stud they had was the one that had a pipe on it. One of the install guys came to fix the pipe. he was very unsure and unskilled up there. I appreciate them coming out to put a temporary fix on the problem but when I contacted the owner the next day to tell him I wanted a licensed plumber out there to fix it and what are we going to do about the water that had leaked out I was worried about mold. I told him I have two young children and he laughed at me and hung up the phone. just a heads up This is what you're dealing with If you have an issue make sure you pull a permit with this company and the inspector actually goes roof and looks before signing off. Justin came out to look at the issue and I am told the leaking issue was repaired. I have not been able to observe it during a rain storm since the repair so I cannot confirm it was fixed. I will update when I can confirm there is no longer a leak. I would caution anyone, if they are obtaining a building permit, to make sure the permit has been issued prior to construction beginning, regardless of what the contractor tells them is an acceptable practice. When Justin came out to look at the repair, he informed me the delay in getting back to me was they were closed for a couple of weeks because they could not get materials. read more

I now understand Gutters n Covers low customer satisfaction rating; Good luck trying to get them to honor their warranty. They installed a patio cover for us in July, 2013, with the promise of a "lifetime warranty." About 6 months ago, we noticed that the paint on 2 of the pillars started flaking off so I called them to repair it. They sent out a repair guy and he spray painted the affected area and said to rinse off the area a couple of times a week to wash away the dog urine from our pet. The same area is doing the same thing -- flaking paint -- and Clyde, the owner, claims this damage is not covered under their warranty and is refusing to fix it. No where in our warranty does it state that corrosion from dog urine is not covered. Buyer Beware! read more

I waited the two weeks and had an employee (I believe his name was Darryl but don't quote me on that) come out and measure the work. Since we are in trying times for small local businesses I did not try to get more estimates and go with the lowest bidder. Absolutely terrible! We called to get a quote and the guy actually showed up. That was the extent of it I reached out several times once to check on the quote and then to make a change and finally just to get posts. They will not call back. I guess if you don't have a huge project they don't want to be bothered. I still have never heard back from this company. My husband called and left messages nothing! Beware of this company! Although materials were great and good quality(Duracool). The installers are a bunch of random kids with no experience. Not only did they show up super late the first day of the installation but it took them 2 days to build it. Also the boss CLYDE is a liar, kept saying he was goin to come back to finish the patio only to be dragged along. It was missing a few pieces that he figured were not important. Never showed up or heard from him again. I DO NOT recommend this company. Go with someone more reputable and do your research. I learned my lesson. read more

Visited GuttersNCovers outdoor showroom in Murrieta 5/4/2015. They came out to do an estimate 5/5/2015. Had a very pleasant meeting with the estimator, but the estimator told me a few different things than Shawn (sp?) did at the showroom the previous day, so I was told to call and talk to Shawn to clarify. I called the next day, 5/6/2015 and was told Shawn was at lunch, but would call me back. No call. I called again 2-3 more times over the next week, each time being told Shawn would call me back. No call. When I called 5/14/2015 I was told I would get a call back. I also made an appointment for another estimate at another location. (Shocking, I know!) Today, 5/15/2015, I called again. Told them I got no call. They claimed the estimator called me 2 days ago and left a message saying they couldn't do the job for me. I got no such message (he was given the wrong phone number by office staff). He called me today and, after never having any of my questions answered that he told me to call Shawn to answer, he said, We're busy, booked out 4 weeks. We think you're too picky, and we can't do the job for you. When I questioned what he was talking about, he said, you said you don't want to see wires on top of the patio cover. We talked through my experience of just wanting someone to answer my questions and... blah, blah, blah, excuses, excuses, excuses... Finally, when I questioned why they scheduled another estimate for me for 5/18/2015 if they were too busy to do the work at my home, office person said she just didn't know how busy they were when she scheduled the estimate. I can't say if they do good work. The patio covers at their showroom were very nice looking. But their customer service and response to a potential customer who was going to use them, was abysmal. If you are considering a patio cover please read these reviews because they are very accurate to what I had experienced. I wish I had done my homework because the finished product was bad. The customer service problems, scheduling issues everything mentioned in these reviews I too experienced.The salesman who came out " Carey" never returned one call that I had not one. Very unprofessional. I noticed light coming through the roof panels and also noticed our guttering was loose and I got on a ladder looked on the roof and the flashing had not been attached it was laying on top of the cover and not sealed. I know the problems on the installation (bad work ) was because the installer ( 1 person ) showed up late he was under the gun to finish before day's end left at 6 pm with all of his tools and equipment laying in my yard with a promise he would return the next day, three days later and after threats from me two installers showed up. Wham, bam thank you mam was the story and I regret paying them had I known what was not completed and what was poorly constructed. What I did was I found a very professional patio guy called Pro Installation who for a fee made repairs that I'm confident will give me what I had expected. This company I do highly recommend. New home owner in Lake Elsinore. Used them from Ad in the Lake Elsinore circular that arrives at our home. Called and rep came out gave us an estimate and honored the sale price for concrete patio and patio cover. We then went to their showroom and was greeted warmly everything explained. Concrete poured on August 6, 2019. On August 8th we noticed several spider cracks and cracks in the expansion joints. Called and got "Concrete cracks" ( Sent pictures) after 2 days??? assured us they were using the highest PSI of concrete. Contacted company and finally they sent a gentleman out to offer a "solution" the solution was gouging out the crack which made the patio look horrific. Clyde (owner/boss) was never in when I called. I sent a letter and received no response. Really, do we have time for this kind of customer service. Would you want the "diamond cut" solution around your whole patio?? To this date no resolution and no response despite numerous contacts phone and written. Completely ignores you. The office girls do the best they can to make you at ease only if you call them. Had a solid patio cover installed a few years ago (Aug.8,2013) and it has always leaked. The installer (Andrew) tried a few times to correct the problem by covering up areas with some type of tape, but it still leaks. After many phone calls complaining about the problem. They just refused to stand by there installation. They have limited warranties on the products they use, but apparently not on there installation. This company will rip you off !!! read more
