Gustology was my first drink mixing class ever, and I loved it! I recently attended Saturday night class.. I walked in not knowing anything (aside from knowing how to order like a pro) and I walked out not inly knowing how to mix three great drinks, but knowing the cool details about the alcohol that we used. Our cocktail maestro, I can't seem to recall his name right now, was funny, knowledgable, and happy to answer any questions we had about the drinks (on or off the menu). Gustology is a hit for a date night, group outing, or if you just want to learn to make a delicious specialty cocktail!

I've come here twice and had a blast both times! I'm becoming a pretty good at home bartender - moving on up to deluxe Cuba Libres, Mojitos and dessert drinks from my usual boring old Rum N Cokes, hah! Thanks!

I had an awesome time at Gustology. I found this place through Groupon. My husband and I attended the cocktail class. We made French 75, jalapeño margarita and Jack Rose. It was very intimate only 6 people including my husband and I. I definitely recommend it for a date night! Our instructor just happen to be the owner Marco. We really enjoyed it and we will definitely have to book another class soon!

The Fiesta Margarita - a perfect way to end an awesome night!

SUCH a great date night!! This is my second time at Gustology and Max was as gracious a host as ever. We learned to make a Kir Royale, Daquiri and a Fiesta Margarita. We again learned much about the liquors we were using and had a great time in the process. We really enjoy going here immensely!!

    Easy setup!

I've…read morebeen to a similar class at Central Market in Dallas and had a good time and was excited to try this class. It turned out being 50% hands off, as the first half of the class, we spent watching the instructor tell us what we're supposed to do while she either demoed, or it was already done for us, or we passed a bowl around a group of 14 and took turns mixing. She said it was time for a break after about 45 mins in and I was thinking 'a break from what?, we hadn't even done anything yet'. Additionally, she spent a good amount of the time selling the Breville appliances we were using. Upon return from break, we were divided into groups and we made the pasta (running it through the device to make flat noodles as it was already made into dough for us). There was a sense of accomplishment from making the pasta. I do wish it was much more hands on as that's how I learn best. Lastly, there was an obvious and awkward dynamic between the instructor and her assistants. Every time she politely asked one of them for help with something, one specific assistant would retort "hold on, let me finish this." Or she would take her sweet time and had a clear attitude with body language and facial expressions. We all talked about it during our break. It was so obvious that either there was some sort of argument or fight prior to the class or they just really didn't like the instructor. It was obvious to all the participants and it felt uncomfortable at times. I even offered that assistant some of our wine though she politely declined. It was definitely unprofessional behavior. We were so excited for this class. So much potential given the brand. A real let down. In fact some of the nice people we met recommended some other cooking classes that were much more hands on and a good time. I don't recommend.

Total Wine _ Totally Awesome…read more I want to take a moment to share my heartfelt gratitude to Front End Supervisor Lori and Total Wine Associate Chris for making such a special time in my life even more memorable. As I was preparing for my upcoming wedding, I wasn't very familiar with spirits or selection, but Lori and Chris went above and beyond to guide me through the process. What truly touched me was the warmth they brought to the experience. On my second visit, Lori greeted me with the most genuine hug, something the extrovert in me absolutely loved and as stressful as this planning was, I needed it. She reassured me that she was there to support both my fiancé and me every step of the way. With their thoughtful recommendations and even spirit tastings, what could have been stressful turned into something seamless and joyful. I am deeply grateful for their kindness, patience, and care. They didn't just help me pick out drinks, they made me feel celebrated. Highly Recommended~
