    Bridal shower@

I had my bridal shower there. It was outstanding!!! The food was exceptional! Homemade mozzarella, gnocchi. We could go on and on about the excellent quality and service. The owner Andrea went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect and he did not disappoint. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. Thank you to Andrea and your staff to making my day amazing!

We shared a literally beautiful antipasto for an appetizer. It boasted fresh mozzarella balls, eggplant, artichokes, sweet red peppers, prosciutto, and olives. We had a good and soft loaf of bread with a yummy olive oil and balsamic dip too. Our meals were ALL tremendous! We had pasta dishes - gnocchi marsala and fettuccine with clams - EXCELLENT! I had plenty of sauce left to dip the soft bread into :) The other couple had octopus (appetizer) and seafood atop squid ink pappardelle pasta. They loved their dishes as well. Of course we didn't have room for dessert, but our chocolate wine and other wines were definitely sufficient. BYOB's are great and money saving. This place is a bit of a haul but I hope to get back in the future !

We were immediately seated and waited on by Andis. He shared a few of his favorites and we ended up ordering mussels and fried calamari for appetizers. For our entrees, we got the gnocchi, lobster ravioli, and fig & apple salad. My MIL wanted a shrimp scampi type of dish which was not on the menu but they were so accommodating and made her exactly what she wanted. Lastly for dessert, we selected the limoncello and chocolate mousse. Unfortunately the dulce de leche was sold out but we were so excited to try it. Even though the restaurant didn't have it, they provided us with a tiramisu on the house because the dulce de leche wasn't available. This family owned restaurant is truly a gem and I would highly recommend it!

The menu is Italian, the alcohol situation BYOB. Service was nice. The gentleman taking care of us made several appreciated gestures such as helping me with my coat, giving us an ice bucket for the white wine and well timing each course that we enjoyed at a leisurely pace. I started with the soup of the day of lobster bisque. Smoothly and creamy. I enjoyed it. There was calamari for the table. We all agreed we'd had better. The chili sauce was nice and it was fried crispy enough but still chewy. Mains included a bland chicken parm served with penne. Nothing to see here. There was also a chicken saltimbocca that was okay. The chicken was tender in both dishes. I had the sacchetti with added shrimp. The sacchetti was filled with ricotta and served with a butter sage sauce. I would surely get this again. For desert we had the limoncello cake. Delicious! Overall, even with the cute setting the ambiance is a little stale. The crowd is heavy on the geriatric side. All that's missing is a little classical music in the background. If you're looking for a vibe uh no. A quiet place to take grandma, yes.

I'm already calling this the best meal of 2026!…read more For starters the ambiance and vibe in the restaurant are top tier! From stunning artwork, to comfortable seating arrangements, along with a few tables that have an open kitchen view. The kitchen is clean and orderly! Now the food. This food belongs on Beard awards watch list, and honestly, you will not find fine dining like this in the suburbs anywhere else. Every plate is clearly carefully crafted and thought through with beautiful culinary elements in every bite. Anyone saying that this menu is pricey doesn't realize that anywhere else, for this quality food, you'd be paying close to double! The service team is well polished however, when I asked for a drink recommendation, they just went down the drink menu, rather than finding out my preferences a guiding me to a selection. They were very attentive with our water refills and any other needs we had. Overall this was an incredible experience and people need not sleep on this restaurant. This chef and his team are producing high end city level dining in the suburbs and I can't wait to go back! Don't skip desserts here! The chef is plating up incredible desserts. This isn't just cherry cheesecake or chocolate lava cakes. The tiramisu was unbelievable and the choix pastry tasted just like the old mister softer specialty!! Special notes, the bruschetta and octopus are top tier apps, the gnudi was incredible, and the handmade pasta was cooked to perfection!

Ha.. laugh is on you! I seriously doubt your business will be in business much longer! Not a fan. Make sure you check your bill when you get it!!! We went on a Friday night a 6pm- We were a party of 4. It took quite sometime for someone to come over and take a drink order. Food was ok -portions meh. The thing that I did not like was -THEY ADD ON A GRATUITY!! We did not realize that and left a tip on top of that. I know restaurants do add a gratuity for usually a larger party but for 4 people! That is insane!! I would definitely not go back. Atmosphere was cold and uninviting, and food was just ok. There are definitely better quality restaurants - who don't add on an automatic gratuity for 4 people. I see someone else in the reviews also complained about that as well. Maybe they should tell you this beforehand. Response from the owner a month ago Hello Tracy. Next to the main door is displayed menu, also all the menus have note about service charge and tax. Same as our website, Google account and etc. We are not diner and all the high class restaurant have service charge. And 1 star for interior means you are not honest person. Thank you

Saturday we had the chance to give them a try. Nothing surprising on the inside. Very reminiscent of an old Itialian Pizzereia. Hanging Tiffany lamps and dark interior. Several tables were already filled by 9am. Our friendly server was the only one there juggling every table with ease. By the time we were ready to leave another waitress arrived. The food was decent enough nothing worthy of high praise or accolades. It fed us and it was served hot. The pancakes were the star of the show; huge, fluffy and perfectly flavored and cooked. The hash browns however were greasy, gummy and were left barely touched by the end of my meal. In the end it was a disappointment, especially after sitting on our list for so long. The service was great and that is what the stars are for. (She actually earns 5* in my book but for the sake of an honest review I can't grant Casanova's any higher. If it weren't for her personality and levity this would be a one star review. PS: Bring cash there is 4% surcharge for using a cards (even debit) with no notice or signs anywhere or on the menus.

Café Carmela -- Pumpkin Pizza & More!…read more On Halloween night, I stopped by Café Carmela excited to try one of their seasonal favorites, the Pumpkin Pizza! Since the restaurant was busy (understandably so), we started with the Meatball Salad, which turned out to be a fantastic choice. It came with crisp romaine, tomato, onion, red wine vinegar, EVOO, ricotta cheese, and delicious, tender meatballs. The mix of creamy and tangy flavors worked perfectly together, a great way to kick off the meal. When I asked our waitress for a recommendation, she mentioned that Café Carmela is known for their vodka sauce, my personal favorite, so I ordered the Drunken Rigatoni. It featured San Marzano tomato, cream, Stateside vodka, basil, and Grana Padano cheese. I also added a chicken cutlet on the side (because protein goals ). The dish was excellent, the flavor was spot on, though I personally would've liked the sauce just a bit creamier. Still, I'd absolutely order it again. Then came the star of the night: the Pumpkin Pizza. If you're a fan of seasonal specials, this is a must-try! It had arugula, ricotta, mozzarella, roasted garlic, sage, and roasted pumpkin, all beautifully balanced. The flavor was rich, cozy, and full of fall vibes. Next time, I'd just ask for the crust a little crispier (personal preference), but the pizza itself was amazing. This pizza is only available once a year, so definitely mark your calendar for next fall because Café Carmela's Pumpkin Pizza is worth the wait.

That left space for a table with the birthday cake, a small table for the leftover food, and a table for wine as the restaurant is byob. We started with pizza, and I especially enjoyed Mamma Leuzzi's pie with balsamic vinegar. A Caesar salad and antipasto tray were also on the food table. Served family style was Carm's parm which was good and the Drunken Rigatoni. The vodka sauce on the rigatoni was the star of the show and made this dish my personal favorite. For dessert, the tiramisu was good, but I appreciated that they also served the birthday cake. However, the coffee was lukewarm at best. The family was able to bring in balloons and decor. That, coupled with background music, added to the ambiance. Service was excellent too. Be advised that the parking here can be a challenge. We got lucky, but the restaurant lot is very small.

If it were just for friendliness, this place would have all five stars, but sadly I barely can…read morerate them the two I'm giving them. This place has me questioning, as if I hadn't already - the TikTok influencers, because this place really was not worthy of the praise TikTok has given it. We are headed over to Trevose on the advice of TikTok (hanging my head in shame) to grab a cheesesteak and a slice. The pizza is boasted to be baked on a stone. I'm not sure if that is what caused it to be what it was. It felt like it couldn't decide what it wanted to be.. too thin it to rise into that soft pillowy chew, yet not quite crisp enough to stand proudly on its own. It was the middle child of pizza doughs. Quiet, polite, and easy to over look. The sauce. It was sauce. Not quite to my palate. It was very sweet and reminiscent of Hunts canned sauce. Now the pepperoni, the pepperoni was on point the perfect crispy curly edges with just the right amount of grease puddled within. Onto the cheese steak. When you're talking about Philly steaks it really isn't hard to go wrong but sometimes you have to understand too much of a good thing - is too much of a good thing. There was way too much cheese to the ratio of meat, the meat was chopped way too much, and the gloppy mess was more than the roll could hold. As I'm writing this, I have a little bit of guilt because the guy behind the counter was a true gem super happy, proud and welcoming. If the food had half of his spirit of this guy, this could've easily been a 4 Star place. So next time you're scrolling the ol ticky-tocky. Try and think about why the influencers rave so high. Does it look staged and filmed? What do they have to gain by making that video? Would you really give a bad review to someone giving you a free lunch?
