After reading the great Google reviews, we decided to give it a try on Saturday, August 15, after 7:30 PM--and I'm so glad we did! We were seated right away, and the restaurant was very clean and welcoming. Our server, Candice, was absolutely amazing! Since it was our first time visiting, she made us feel right at home. She even brought us their homemade chips and dip complimentary, which was such a nice touch. Candice was friendly, attentive, and offered great suggestions throughout our meal. She truly helped make our first experience special. For dinner, we ordered the salmon ($38), which was a little pricey for this type of restaurant, but overall it was good. We also took advantage of the $15 special, where you can select from certain items and receive a dessert. I ordered the cheeseburger and fries with the S'mores Brownie for dessert--absolutely delicious! Our daughter ordered the chicken sandwich and upgraded to the onion rings. Everything came out hot, fresh, and tasty. Our only suggestion would be to add a little more seasoning to the onion rings and provide a few more onion rings with the upgrade. The portion of fries was much larger than the onion rings, so for an additional $2.50-$3, we feel the upgrade should include a few more onion rings. We also enjoyed regular soft drinks, water, a margarita, and a beer. Everything was good, and overall, we had an amazing dining experience. A special thank-you to Candice for making our first visit so enjoyable! She even provided us with a coupon to come back and visit again, which we definitely appreciated. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely consider returning! If you're in the area and looking for a clean restaurant with good food and excellent customer service, Lazydog is worth giving a try.

Coming into it, around early dinner time hour, it was fair to say a slow evening for a Saturday. This provided us a fair chance to be able to not feel rushed during this experience. Server and food runners were on point. Server knew the menu and what to suggest as popular meals and what his favorites were. He also informed us that food was made from scratch and the ribs were already sold out! Bummer as that would've been a go to choice! The restaurant it self seemed cleaned and a sleek look to it. We chose 2 fried chicken meals and steak and frite. These dishes were to brag about 100%, wish I could've met the head chef and supervisor on shift to let them how wonderful the food was and that the staff have great personality and professional! This chicken meals were beyond what could've fool me as a homemade chicken made by someone's grandma! The steak was cooked to perfection that could've melted in your mouth. Due to my son's birthday, the server offered a complimentary dessert for him to have! I recommend this place or their other locations 10/10!

The atmosphere felt like a casual new age, better, slightly more upscale and elegant version of Applebees, if that makes sense. Homey vibe but elegantly casual? Off rip I ordered a sweet tea which was phenomenal. It tasted like it has a slight peach undertone to it, and it was the right amount of sweet. I ordered the bacon wrapped shrimp as my appetizer and the fried chicken with mashed potatoes and brussels (I dont like coleslaw). I was told the bacon wrapped shrimp was a new menu item. For $19? They were cool. The fried chicken was really good. It was still steaming hot inside, when I took my first bite. The chicken was tender and had a good crunch to it. The brussels were okay. I typically like a more sweet glaze on my brussels but they did the job. I liked the mashed potatos, they were a little runny; the gravy made up for that though. I'm not a biscuit person but the biscuit that came with this meal was very soft, fluffy, moist, and had butter throughout. It was a bummer the only choices of hot sauce available were Tabasco and Cholula. I usually like Texas Pete, Crystal, or Louisiana hot sauce in my chicken. I WILL say, the monkey bread was SOOOOO good. So soft, warm, with apples and vanilla ice cream. If I knew it was this good I would have ordered 2 to go. Ultimately everything my was good, I had a great experience, and lots of leftovers.

We were told that they wouldn't seat us until 7pm and that it may be 5 or 10 minutes after that. A little irritating, but not a deal breaker. 7pm comes, 7:05. 7:10. We ask how much longer. We are told they are waiting on tables. Um, ok? 7:15, 7:20, 7:25....finally a table. Why even make a reservation if we aren't seated until 25 minutes after? They take us to our table, a party of 2 mind you, and sit us at a cafeteria style table for 6. There were PLENTY of 2 tops around. People who came in after us were seated at them with no problem. Again, weird, not a deal breaker but getting more irritating. Our waitress came over quickly and was amazing the entire night. Attentive and prompt. She took our drink and app orders. This is not an inexpensive restaurant. It is marketed as upscale. Why did she bring us drinks in plastic cups and say they were out of glasses? Excuse me? I am paying over $200 for my meal to drink out of plastic cups? We get our appetizer and it is delicious. Cajun Crab dip. There is a lot of dip and only a small bread loaf, so we ordered an additional loaf after we ate that one. Our waitress put the order in promptly, but the kitchen never sent it out and she had to go find it. By that time, our app was cold. We still ate it, just another disappointment. Our entrees came out promptly, both of us having ordered the Delmonico ribeye, medium. I added a lobster tail. We both had mac and cheese. I had greens, my husband Brussel sprouts. Neither of our steaks were cooked medium. Both were medium well and tough. $52 steaks, fyi. We had already been there an hour and with all of the other incidents, I was just ready to go. Sides were good, lobster tail was cooked perfectly. To sum it up, long wait even with a reservation, weird seating, plastic cups, forgetful kitchen and over cooked steak. Not quite the upscale dining we are used to with a $225 bill. Great server, great apps, good sides. Overall a disappointing anniversary dinner and would not go back.

Save room for dessert!…read more The food at Foundation Eatery was exceptional. As a self-described foodie, I'm always searching for restaurants that offer creative, thoughtfully prepared dishes with plenty of variety. Foundation exceeded every expectation. I ordered every dish the staff recommended, and each one was outstanding. Julio provided attentive, knowledgeable service, and you can tell Chef Mel and his wife, Sandy, have poured their hearts into every aspect of the dining experience. Their attention to detail is remarkable--they genuinely care that every bite is exactly as it should be, and it shows. We started with the Crisp Spanish Octopus and the mushroom ravioli. Julio also suggested adding an order of bread to soak up the incredible sauces, and I'm so glad he did--not a drop was left on the plate. For my entrée, I chose the scallops, and they were cooked perfectly. I even skipped most of the accompanying beans to save room for dessert, which turned out to be one of the best decisions of the night. The blueberry olive cake with blueberry sorbet was phenomenal and the perfect ending to an unforgettable meal. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and refreshingly free of distractions, allowing the food and conversation to take center stage. If you're looking for a memorable dining experience with incredible food, outstanding hospitality, and an environment where every detail matters, Foundation Eatery is a must-visit. I can't wait to come back. PS. I can't believe they have a burger on the menu. I'd try that based on everything else!
