10/10 service and food, I haven't been here since I was young like about 10 years ago. I always found the breakfast so amazing but when I went back today, I took the drive thru and had an amazing avo bacon cheeseburger with fries and was so fresh. It is so worth it to wait and coming back here again for sure. :) read more

Gus Jr. is under new management, and it's a GREAT thing! Finally, we have a great classic diner spot in the area. The burgers and fries are exactly what you want from a classic burger joint, and the breakfast burritos are definitely worth trying too. Everything feels fresh, simple, and satisfying. If you haven't been in a while, give them another read more

I've tried several occasions to order through drive thru but somehow my order always has issues. Nothing too difficult- today order cheeseburger combo w Dr Pepper, meat cooked well done extra pickles and tomatoes. Lady read order back correctly. Got to window the lady was unfriendly and stared at me awkwardly as I handed her my card. Received Diet Coke, extra lettuce, no cheese, regular pickle tomatoes. Better off going to Villa Burgers they always get it right just further away from me. read more

Good chicken tenders! Great service! I ordered the chicken tenders and fries. The chicken was juicy and delicious. The fries are nice and thick. Loved adding Tabasco sauce to the ranch dressing and dipping the chicken tenders into it, so tasty! I was feeling nostalgic and decided to have the Orange Whip to drink. It was less whipped than I remembered, it was ok. The inside could use a little table cleaning. I did find a somewhat clean table. The service was very friendly and fast. read more

I was first here about 10 years ago and it was terrible. Now, under the new ownership the food is fire!!! Burgers are delicious and the French toast are also amazing. Dropped by for a chili cheese burger with bacon and a side of onion rings. Food was yummy, but they are NOW adding a 3% service fee if you dare pay via credit card. I cannot continue to support places that like to gouge their customers with any sort of service fees. read more

On Saturday, January 24, I ordered a patty melt combo. It was the worst patty melt I ever had in my life. Whoever worked that day should be retrained on how to cook a patty melt! I ordered it on DoorDash. It came in good time and was hot, but it was awful. read more

Stopped by for a Monday lunch after years away, and while the service was fast and the portions were generous, the experience has definitely changed. I ordered a hamburger and fries, a carne asada taco plate, and their famous fried zucchini. Everything felt fresh and came out quickly, though the flavor was more "okay" than the "awesome" I remembered. The biggest shift is in the environment and the new cost-saving measures: the once-legendary condiment bar (stocked with salsas and pickled veggies) is gone, and you now have to ask for toppings directly. It also felt a bit nickel-and-dimey to be charged $0.30 for a water cup and limited to a single soda refill. The interior is starting to show its age and could really use an update, but if you're looking for a quick, decent meal with plenty of seating, it still gets the job done. read more

Horrible food zucchini fries are disappointing fries disappointing and overpriced will never go or recommend

Wife and I picked up some burgers, chili cheese fries, and zucchini on Saturday night. Sunday morning, we both had extremely severe food poisoning. With two little kids, it was a living hell trying to care for them while your body is evacuating out of both ends. We will never eat here again. read more

11/24/25 I ordered a pastrami sandwich combo from Gus Jr#7 And noticed the cooks notcwearing gloves, the man was cutting tomatoes and very much handling the vegetable.. I didnt say anything because my food will be cooked.. then I remembered the bun and pickles... the service was good though. Just kinda gross and its required by law that they do.. I looked it up...js. I dont think they got their "A" rating, not wearing gloves.. read more

This is a great locally owned independent burger shop in banning or is it Beaumont or are these the same places? Lol Anyway, this place has everything you can imagine from burgers to sandwiches to salads to breakfast all day to Mexican food to gyros to dinner platters and don't forget all the great fried food. When they do their patty melt it's double patties with cheese and if you get adventure some you can add lettuce and tomato which is odd but the lady likes it. I always enjoy the bacon cheeseburger there in combo form. Next time I come I will be more adventure some and get some of the Mexican dishes that look pretty good. Give them a try read more

I'll admit I was nervous looking at the outside and inside of the restaurant but, times are hard and maybe it's financially not possible to complete upgrades just yet. As for the customer service, we went inside and were treated very kind by what I believe may be the owner or manager. We ordered burgers and zucchini and it was all really good and filling. The prices were fair and so were the portions. I would say maybe go inside and explain your mela so they won't have to rush and your order will get good and correct. We will come back and support this small business if they are consistent with how we were treated today and quality of food we received. read more

My husband and I used to live this place but This place has went down hill. The food was not great! The pancakes taste like oil.

I was a little hesitant to try this restaurant due to the reviews but, I'm glad I still tried it. We enjoyed all of our meals here. It's true that we complain more than we give kudos so don't let the negative reviews steer you away. I'm new to the area and missed the diner back at home that had the fried zucchinis and burgers. Glad we found a place here. Everything was made fresh to order. It was nice and quiet at 9PM read more
