The shishito peppers were so sweet and tangy in the bacon jelly and cheese and oozed with goodness! The steak itself was absolutely perfect and the bread under soaked up all those juices so you didn't have to lick the plate after (great ingenuity when dining out :)) The desserts were fantastic but the star of the show was def the raspberry blondie. The last two times I stood there patiently while you answered phones, left to go retrieve carts, and handle other duties without a simple hello. For a smaller local store, you've got to do better. Had I not already bought the first gallon there, when it happened the 2nd time I would've walked out and went to a big box retailer down the street where I wouldn't stand like an invisible statue for 20 minutes.

October 28, 2026 My…read moreexperience at Gus Block Ace Hardware on Ridge Road today was deeply disturbing. It felt like stepping back into 1940s Alabama. I was standing in line waiting to check out, with other customers behind me. When a customer walked away from the register, a woman bypassed the entire line and walked straight to the register as though the rest of us didn't exist. There were four other Black customers and me standing there, yet neither she nor the cashier acknowledged the people who had been waiting in line. What made this experience especially upsetting was the cashier's complete silence. No acknowledgment, no attempt to maintain the line, and no recognition that several customers had been waiting their turn. I felt Black customers were invisible and undeserving of the same basic courtesy afforded to others. If you want to experience what it feels like to be ignored and treated as though you don't matter, Ace is the place

Although pleasant and friendly, she did not follow through on my order and also gave me incorrect delivery dates for both vanity and onyx top, allowing the contract with my very reliable labor crew to lapse before installation was completed. Fortunately, Evan Devine, Shilling's Service Manager was able to get " Custom Cal Homes Remodeling " to complete a perfect installation. I would advise all who order specific cabinetry to not only submit a picture of what they desire but also to sign the exact spec sheet of the Schilling building plan. in addition, before starting a major bath rehab which might demand a cast iron tub breakdown, I would advise waiting until "after" your vanity and top are delivered and accepted. I gave Schilling a 5 star review, not only for a great finished bath rehab, but also for employing stellar personal that was able to make that happen. In the end, a long 80 year plus success is about the people who make up the company

PITIFUL! THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND PRODUCTS SOLD!…read more I started rehabbing a house in 2017 and sparred no expense as I was looking to have the least maintenance in the future. I spent well over a 100 grand on windows framing lumber sheathing zipboard doors siding fixtures trim decking railings and so much more. I purchased LP siding in late 2018 and was installed into early 2019. I paid extra to have the siding double coated which was presented as a 50 year warranty. Within a couple of years I noticed the siding chalking and the trim opening up like a sponge. In early 2022 I presented this issue to Scott Czapar who was my salesperson that I had been dealing with since day one. Schillings had purchased the LP siding from Cedar Siding INC which has since gone out of business. I spoke to both Scott and Kyle who brought this to the attention of Dean Schillings. I paid 7500 dollars in labor and 1500 in materials to have my house repainted. I was asking Schillings to cover half the cost of materials which was 750 dollars in which they denied. They suggested that the warranty was from the company they bought the siding from. I bought the siding from Schillings not anywhere else. I will not spend 10 cents at their company ever again. Scott Czapar has never been the issue and has always gone above and beyond to address the many issues that came about. Also anyone reading this please go out and look at your siding and see if it has failed! I can guarantee that I am not the only person this has happened to. Below are the before and after photos and so obvious of the failure of their product.
