We are getting the house ready for winter. The plants in the greenhouse are doing well so far (keeping my fingers crossed) and the shed is in process. I stopped here to grab a few bricks and other odds and ends. I haven't visited an Ace hardware store in years. If you've read some of my reviews, you noticed how much I enjoy shopping at hardware stores. It's amazing some of the things you find. I saw Christmas ornaments, winter attire (this is Chicagoland and it will be miserably cold very soon), tools, wood for fireplaces, saws, etc. and even snacks. Nice! read more

Why do the aces not open when listed. I drive from ace to ace for them to be closed! Is it aces fault or iPhone

Its great to still have the option of going to the local hardware store. While you will sometimes pay a little more than the big box stores, you get a personal touch that home depot can't beat. They recently repaired our window screens and did an excellent job.Great store when you need something quickly and don't feel like dealing with a gigantic store like Home Depot or Menards. Their service is amazing, employees are friendly, and prices are great. They are super helpful when you don't know what you need! I've never had less than 3 people help me when I walk in. Recently purchased a new Weber Gas Barbeque and they skillfully assembled the grill and gave me great cooking tips. I am really thankful that this type of great customer service still exist and it comes from my local Ace Hardware. read more

Great service. They helped me replace glass in my windows that I bought to them from Park Forest. The other Ace Hardware nearest my house does not offer this service. I am grateful that they allowed my handyman to pick t up for me. read more

I would give no stars if that was an option. Had multiple salespeople who appeared to try and avoid me. Then when I did get to ask a question, because it was close to closing the employee advised me to come earlier next time. Really? I haven't been to Ace since, to many other options. I was willing to pay more at Ace for the convenience of being local but that won't happen again. Even worse is the product I bought, an offset umbrella, ended up thrown out after 4 months because the handle broke. read more
