Dr. Gupta diagnosed me with sleep apnea both central and obstructive, ran pulmonary tests and two sleep studies and refered me to a respiratory therapist who set me up with a very high tech CPAP machine. I have never ever felt better after visiting Dr. Gupta! He and his staff are amazing! He is very professional and hands down the best doctor I have ever Had in all of my years. I can't thank him enough for transforming my life like he did. I never realized how sick I was. And I never thought I would ever feel this good! Thank you Dr. Gupta and staff! This was the worst experience I have ever had at any doctors office. After going in for my initial appointment one of the doctors that works there kept asking me "what did you tell me? What were we talking about?, I forgot what we were discussing?" This happened several times, and by this point I knew there was no solid communication and the doctor could not retain any information whatsoever. Then they stated they wanted to set up a sleep study, I aske the doctor " do I need to go to the other building (as it is just across the way) and set up an appointment?" There answer was NO, they informed me to come in at 8:30 PM on a weeknight and they would take care of it. I asked her if I needed to bring anything and she also replied NO. So, after a few days I just wanted to clarify again that I did not need to bring anything. I called Dr. Gupta's office, the receptionist took my birthdate and name and looked me up. She stated "no, I see you in here, you don't need to bring anything with you. I picked up someone to watch my house and dogs overnight, picked up a small dinner and showed up at 8:30pm. Immediately I was told by the nurse performing the sleep studies "you need an appointment, there is no room for you here tonight." I will give him credit, he profusely apologized and stated "I will send the main office a message for you and let them know what happened, I am very sorry." I was infurated by this point as I then had to take the person watching my home back to their house and pay them for their time. In the next days I received no phone call, no email, nothing. So I called the main office and all the lines were busy so I left a message stating I would like a call back. Still nothing. I wrote a formal complaint to Dr. Gupta, and what a surprise, no response! If you need to have a sleep study or have issues with Apnea or Narcolepsy, I would AVOID THIS DR'S OFFICE at all costs. There is absolutely no customer service and no care for their patients. It is not only a deplorable attitude but unprofessional on so many levels. The anthropocentric attitude and medacious behavior of the doctors there will not help you solve your issues. Finally got a sleep study done. April 22nd. They claim a phone appointment in late July is the earliest. The called me today to reschedule for tomorrow or August. Sleep apnea for 20 plus years. Dr Rakesh Gupta has been my husband's doctor and my doctor since 2006. My husband was very sick with pulmonary fibrosis. Dr Gupta was so caring and loving to him and me during this terrible illness. He would take my calls anytime of the day or night and pulled my husband through many times. Since his passing I still remained Dr Gupta's patient and he has taken care of me so wonderfully. If I could give him negative stars, Allah knows I would. After getting my clearance for my surgery, after 2 sleep studies, 1 breathing survey, trying to put me on a CPAP after telling him I was already on oxygen, he added to my insurance by ordering the CPAP. He didn't listen, he lied, and he and his staff are VERY unprofessional and unpleasant people. This place is a joke. Trying to set up a home sleep study and can never get a return call "Trudy" is never in or returns calls. They NEVER answer their phones. Dr Gupta diagnosed my wife with sleep apnea, then made her have an un necessary pulmonary test, according to our insurance company. Then billed us for over 387 dollars, which the insurance company said we should have been billed for 47 dollars. Called Gupta and they said NO that was what we owed, they did not bill the insurance for the contracted price. Trying to get more money out of us! Steer clear of this place. Oh my God!!! Save yourself the headache and stress!!! This office is HORRIBLE!!! And so unorganized!!! First off my Primary referred me here after not being able to breath for a couple weeks! Took 6 WEEKS to get in! Then ON the day of my appt..they call me and tell me It's been switched to a phone appt. Well?? I've never been seen, so what can he do over the phone?? I call and ask, and the person answering the phones has not a clue!! And held for 8 minutes before being disconnected! 3rd call to nurse, never called back to get my info FOR THE APPT! I finally called again and spoke with Nurse. She tells me Dr. Had Covid about a month ago. That's why the phone appt. Ok. I understand that, but could they not have called me a month ago and told me? So I could make my own decision to seek a different Dr. Instead of wait another month to NOT be seen. She gets some info (most meds) then asks me to hold for a "minute" after 8 minutes I'm transferred to someone else?? Asked to hold. Hold for ANOTHER 7 minutes, then get disconnected AGAIN!! Nurse never calls me back to get the rest of my info. They also say they never got my Xray results and My Primary Dr. Notes. Even though they were sent twice! So about an hour before phone appt. I try and call nurse back bc she still does not have all my info (you know, like my AGE and the fact that I have asmatha) I wait on hold another 10 mins. And then I hang up. So, appt is @ 3:45. At 4:30 I call to ask if Dr. Will be calling and when? (I understand running late! This isn't my first rodeo. Usually the nurse calls you to tell you "Hey, Docs running an hour behind) Again, I get to talk to some rude, uninformed person who can and will only tell me "He has until 6" over and over again.. Look. I'm a SINGLE mom and caregiver to my adult daughter with Special Needs. My time is not my own. Anyway Doc calls around 4:45 SO AN HOUR LATE... short call. Trys to convince me to come for a sleep test?? Dude, I CAN'T BREATH AND MY LUNGS HURT!! He owns a sleep clinic, so trying to sell me on that! Then says "well, I'll order pulmonary test and see you in 6 weeks" WHAT??? What part of I CAN'T BREATH AND MY LUNGS HURT do you not understand??? I'm on 5 different meds for breathing. Yes, I've had a Covid test, it's Negitive! I'm calling my Insurance Co Right now to get another referral! This place is a S**t show!!! read more

Don't go to the San Jacinto office!! Its always packed and the staff never do what they say there gonna do. I have literally waited for 4 hours just to find out the doc had to leave or whatever..its always a miserable experience at the SJ office. Go to the sun city office if you have a chance. I have been a patient with Gupta Medical center for over three years. I gave a low rating not because of the medical care of the doctors, Neelam and Rakesh Gupta are good doctors. They have a sleep study clinic and do their own blood work. The other doctors are good to. Why the horrible rating?? It's the Ghetto front office staff!! They are very unprofessional. They sound like hotel maids on the phone. Always putting me on hold immediately when they answer the phone. Put me on hold for a long time or it goes to voicemail. They are very rude when I do talk to them. I tried to tell then I could not come to my appointment but they put me on hold so I just didn't show up! To bad, but it's the Ghetto staff. They forgot to send in my prescriptions and they acted like I was stupid when I asked what went wrong it took 4 weeks for them to finally send my prescription!! I was referred to a wrong surgeon for my outpatient surgery and I'm trying to call them to tell them I need the right vascular surgeon, incompetence, ignorant, ghetto and rude service from the front office staff. Except for one lady that checked me out of the office last time Note: j get put on hold and told they are busy but when I'm there they are just sitting around chatting???? Wth!! I do not recommend GMC if you are really sick or need quality customer service from the office staff. The doctors are excellent the Ghetto girls suck. I don't recommend because of that! Very nice and experienced pulmonogist. My mother is diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension and we went there to confirm the meds she is on are appropriate. Dr. Gupta has two offices, one in Sun City and one in San Jacinto. Both offices are pretty crappy looking, the Sun City office is the better of the two. But, don't let that deter you. I suspected for years I had sleep apnea but avoided a sleep study because I was afraid I would need a CPAP with a large face mask and dreaded the thought. I finally had the study and found I had severe sleep apnea. The pillow mask they offered is so small and so comfortable that I am not even aware of it! I use it every night and get 9 hours of good solid sleep...FINALLY! I absolutely love it and look forward to a good rest every night. I highly recommend getting tested and using this if it is recommended. I should have gotten it years ago. read more

This office is VERY BUSY and my personal belief is that he is good enough that people come and wait. I know I do and some times he is pretty much on time and I have waited over an hour and a half. Better to see a great doctor when you can than to see one not as good quickly. The front office staff has been replaced more than once since I started seeing him and the voicemail response is better but still his worst enemy. I see another doctor in West Covina for shots to prevent knee replacement and he has replace his front office staff twice in the last year. It is HARD to get competent people that know what they are doing to work in a medical office and I am fine with the staff that is there now. I ALWAYS get a competent amount of time from Rakesh, not rushed along, so fortunately I was introduced to him and I am not looking for anyone else. read more

I have been seeing Dr. Gupta for over 8 years now as my primary care physician and I would like to say, he is by far one of the best doctors around. I see him once a month and he is very thorough, he listens to all your concerns, and makes sure you have a treatment plan after each visit. He is a family dr., he cares about you and your whole family. He is so kind, compassionate, professional, works long hours trying to make the lives of others better. He will go to great lengths to get to the bottom of what is making you not feel well and then get you the best course of treatment. He is the best dr that you want in your corner. He office staff is very nice as well. Also dr Gupta has been my primary dr while I was at Menifee Valley Hospital and he coordinated my care exceptionally well and was able get me feeling better after ordering the required tests. I am so pleased with the care I have gotten for my sleep apnea from Dr. Gupta. Using the CPAP mask and equipment is making a significant difference in how I feel! It can take quite a while to get everything working properly and he has been really good about working with me to get the appropriate mask. I didn't think I was a mouth breather, but I am. Once we got that taken care of, my scores (on the software that I installed on my phone) started to improve and we are now fine tuning the type of full face mask I wear, so I can get a really good mask seal. It hasn't been an easy process for me to master, but with Dr. Gupta's help and my committing to making it work, it has gotten much, much easier. The payoff is feeling so much better. I like Dr. Gupta. He is helpful, professional and personable. One other thing to mention - after my first sleep study, the sleep technician (I think her name was Sasha), advised me that to get the sticky stuff from the leads on my head off, I should first wash my hair with conditioner before I used shampoo. That worked perfectly and made a huge difference! read more
