I went to this urgent care because I had a very painful, swollen lump near the top of my butt…read morecrack. The pain was severe, and I was having difficulty sitting and even lying down comfortably. The doctor examined me and told me that it was just a cyst and that I would be fine. Nothing was done to drain it, and I was not given treatment. I left feeling like I was being told to simply deal with the pain. Because the pain continued to get worse, I ended up going to the ER. They immediately recognized that it was an abscess with cellulitis and that it was significantly infected. They drained it right away, packed the wound, and prescribed medication to treat the infection. I understand that not every diagnosis is straightforward, but I was very disappointed with my urgent care experience. I feel that my condition should have been taken more seriously, especially given how painful and swollen it was. If I had followed the advice I was given and simply waited it out, I could have gotten much sicker. I'm sharing my experience so others can advocate for themselves if they feel something is seriously wrong. If you know your pain is severe or your condition is getting worse, don't be afraid to seek a second opinion or go somewhere else. I DONOT RECOMMEND THIS URGENT CARE.

The reason I'm writing this review is to warn people about Paula Henderson. I have never in my life encountered anyone in the medical field who treats patients with disgust and disdain like Paula Henderson does. She told my 80 year old mother who suffers from severe arthritis in her legs, hips, and both feet and who barely totters around with a cane to "hop up on the exam table". My mom tried. She couldn't do it. I tried to help her and couldn't lift her by myself. I told Henderson my mom is unable to get up there, she is in extreme pain. Henderson's response was well I can't examine her if she's not on the table. Rather than get up off her fat ass and help me help my mom get on the exam table, she said "what you want me to get people in here to help you up? Well, we don't give that kind of service here." And that's a direct quote. By this time my mother was in tears. I can only imagine how helpless and humiliated she must have felt. I was furious. Neither my mother nor I said another word, we just left. Getting prescriptions filled always took a while, but now it's next to impossible. I called every day for a week, leaving messages, and received no call backs. I am now out of my medication and, as it's the weekend, I will have to wait until Monday. I currently have shingles and can't leave my house, or I would drive to the office and speak to someone directly. I was last in the office in October 2024. Scheduling appointments was two months out, even after a much needed follow up after an ER visit. I was told that they now only have one GP and one pediatric doctor on site, as well as a nurse practitioner. It's a shame because I really like the GP and NP. They listen and don't rush you through appointments. Sadly, I will be moving on.
