Avoid this medical group. They are completely unprofessional and uncaring individuals. My son broke…read morehis leg and dislocated his ankle. They kept him waiting over two weeks to even get him scheduled for surgery. Then they changed the location of the outpatient center. Twice! I called the referral department and their response was they would work on it on Monday. Unreal. The lack of compassion and their lack of empathy is despicable. I called my insurance, changed medical groups and my son had surgery four days later with the new medical group. If you live in this area Sharp Graybill medical is the best in the area. They are quick, efficient and caring. Avoid Hemet like the plague. Wretched group and wretched people working there.

How Hemet Community Medical Group (HCMG) ripped my 85-year-old Mother off…read more She was hit by a car while walking in Hemet. An ambulance took her to the hospital (Hemet Valley Medical Center) which was 2.3 miles away. The invoice for her accident was 4 pages of hundreds of line items which I didn't understand (doctor stuff) but I did understand the ambulance charge which was higher that her $200 deductible from her supplemental insurance with SCAN. HCMG has 3rd party agreements for emergency care including an agreement with Hemet Valley Ambulance which overrides any insurance that the patient has (and pays for). When I mentioned the ambulance charge to HCMG, they said she agreed to the charge before accepting the ride. My mother doesn't remember this as she was in pain and confused. Who would require a signature before taking them to the hospital? Hemet Community Medical Group. What a sham. Again, I have no idea if the other line items were also outside the coverage of Medicare and her supplemental insurance. But I do understand how important it is to get medical attention asap. Both her supplemental insurance with SCAN and Hemet Community Medical Group rejected my appeal on her charges. Be very careful with Hemet Community Medical Group. I would avoid them, if possible.

I had a previous review or up but it was erratic so I took it down for a while. I wanted to make…read moresure that I wasn't reacting out of my grief and heartache. After many years of grief counseling, I feel I can safely post about this now. Dr. Howard was not my physician, he was my beautiful mom's. She is pictured here, gazing out on the ocean. She was a talented artist, guitar player, twin sister, sister, mother of 3, grandma of 7. She was happy and full of spunk and wise and smart beyond anyone I have ever met. She was also addicted to the pain medication that Dr. Howard prescribed her. She died of heart failure in her bathroom, sitting on the toilet with her pants around her ankles, alone. There is SO MUCH more to this story that I will not go into here. I am not going to disparage Dr. Howard's reputation by going into this more in depth. He was supposed to do no harm. She needed him to help her, he failed in that task. I see that he has a disciplinary action from the CSMB added to his Dr. score page. I am going to say this; The reason we have this surging drug epidemic is because of situations like this. These opioid drugs are passed out to patients like candy and then we wonder why someone ends up becoming addicted and dies as a result. It is BEYOND INSANE!

ABOUT MY HEART ATTACK: This doctor told me for several…read moremonths that I had to stop taking Ativan, a medication I had been prescribed for 50 years (I'm 75). I brought my bottle with the remaining pills in it for him and told him I had started getting off of them 1-2 days before. He never mentioned to me how dangerous it is to stop the pills cold turkey and two days after my office visit, I started convulsing and having seizures. I ended up in the emergency room with a heart attack. I found out later through research on the internet that you should take at least THREE MONTHS to taper off this medication and to NEVER stop suddenly because it could result in death. Thereafter, Dr. Howard acted as though he was very uncomfortable with me, in person and in emails, although I never said anything to indicate his negligence. He eventually sent me two certified letters saying he wanted to "withdraw" from being my PCP and I only had SEVEN days to research and find a new doctor. He never gave me a reason for this action so I am assuming that it was because he felt too uncomfortable facing me. In addition, Dr. Howard is rude, arrogant, and has even made untruthful statements to me. I hope no one else goes through the emotional and physical pain that I have with this doctor. Just beware.
