They were hired to do attic, behind knee walls, and side/gable walls of a 1933 house. We emptied most of everything upstairs. I came home from work at the end of the day- back porch/main entrance/ steps covered with insulation. Path of clumps of insulation lead to large pile of semi- wrapped long clear bags of battings- split open. My gf was furious that the gable walls were not being done. We were told side walls. Loud neighbors. She was told- not on the list. This was not the time to tell her of the unseal/ broken bags of batting and path of fiberglass outside back door. The worker came in with the bill, said the balance, and was ready to leave. We had to ask to review the work. We reviewed the work. Were happy that 1/3 of a side wall was done, and new foam under roofing was nice. I was shocked that there wasn't any tarping on doorways or mattresses stacked against the wall. I do hardwood- different dust, but dust. We spend up to 2 hrs prepping for dust containment. She wasnt told that they weren't doing it, she would've. I have cancer, gf- lung issues. They left, we spent over 1 hour with buckets of water & broom getting fiberglass off porch. Dog uses it as thoroughfare. Before bed, we took another look. Clumps of insulation on a radiator cover in a corner, 18' from work, NEXT to stacked mattresses. Tan clumps on natural wood low bookcase- blended in. Next morning, when the dust literally settled- on every door molding, on top of kitchen glass top and every surface of kitchen (11' from back door). Damage? Every doorway below knee level. Staircase. Spindles of hall rail overlooking enclosed stairs. Drips on wall under ceiling access panel. Baseboard damaged from ladder under access panel. We just spent over 2 years rehabbing. Hand scraping layers of paint off, sanding/ wood filling. In 8 hours they left a mess and a lot of damage. It is 3 am. We're awake with gf coughing and our exposed skin itching. We sleep downstairs. We are old and tired and hard working. The LAST thing I want to do is wipe every surface of the house, including inside kitchen cabinets. My girlfriend fury has turned to tears of all her hard work needing to be redone. I'm not saying it was perfect. There were a few "dings" we did that were in process of being touched up. But that is NOTHING compared to the door chips and worn of paint on edges of door trim. So, 1st promised work and told on day of work, after schedules were rearranged and most of 2nd floor emptied and deposit was paid that "gable" insulation was behind the knee wall. Not in the wall itself. The owner even counted how many "sections" between studs were needed to be filled, and measured the wall. He said that it would be blown in from the top, no holes in the interior walls. How does the attic part of gable muffle the neighbors? Next week this company will be making money.. and my gf will be sanding/priming/ painting a lot of damage and after work, when I can literally barely walk from car to house, I'll be helping with wiping, cleaning. Note-the night before I emptied the 1/2 bath, thoroughly cleaned, and put things back. After they were here? Counter covered with fiberglass (which means toothbrushes, stacked toilet paper, hair brushes, walls) The owner called the next morning. Girlfriend let it go to voicemail. Then text him not to contact her until she calmed down, and sent pics of only a small amount of damage/ fiberglass clumps and residue. Lastly, in the ceiling, 20' from the access panel, there was a black bag. Obviously intentionally hidden (important/valuable) because too much effort for someone to put it there. Playing dumb,I asked the worker what the "black blob or nest" was in the ceiling. Response was with a question, stalling for an answer, then said "Tyler got it, probably black trash bag, found lots of them". No, you didn't. He didn't know that I spent considerable time in the attic space installing liv rm ceiling lights and recessed kitchen lights and plumbing and time with roofers. The main space was emptied prior to them coming. No there weren't. So, lieing about that, must be lieing about what was in the bag. Must've been important. It's ours, came w/house when purchased. So this company lies, makes false promises, and leaves the house covered in fiberglass and damaged.... and cashes the checks for over $4000. Hope he didn't expect us to accept the workers who thought it was clean and acceptable to come back and remedy it. Nothing they can say at this point would be believed. As I've said, we just rehabbed the entire house-interior/ exterior/ major landscaping, using very few contractors. I am in the construction industry. This company, by far, is the most unscrupulous and careless organization I've ever experienced. I never do reviews, don't do fb or text. Just replaced my flip phone. But this is important for people to know what you will get when you hire this company. Very tired and disgusted. And we haven't even started the cleaning/ fixing. read more
