Second, I showed the front desk my insurance app, which clearly indicated that my deductible had been met. Despite that, I was directed to billing and reluctantly paid so I could keep my appt. Several days later, I'm still trying to get my refund. The billing department says they're waiting to verify everything w/the insurance company - that doesn't make sense because the claim has already been paid. (Again clearly shown on my app) Which also shows I owed $0.00. I need to schedule injections, but I won't do so until this billing issue is resolved. If they can't , I'll be looking for another doctor.

I told them there's no way I could pay $30 per visit. They said no problem. "We will never turn someone away because of cost... but we will if they aren't serious about getting healthy." They started me at $10 per visit. Over the course of years my copay increased as I was able to afford it. Finally, a few years ago they began to take my insurance, UHC. I think they are finally making some money off my families treatment . They've helped with kids sports injuries, car accidents, and even provided surgical options for us at different times. About a year ago I was given some very difficult news from my doctor, I would likely never conceive…read moreagain. I was devastated, my husband and I planned on having a second child and were shocked to hear this may be impossible. I was told that IVF was not even an option. The doctor informed me that my hormone levels were off balance and my body was not fertile and would likely never be again. I was only 36 years old and told I was going into early menopause. I was desperate for help and willing to try anything. I made an appointment with Betty and came in several more times throughout the month. I missed my last appointment to go on vacation and planned on coming back when I got back. Luckily, I never needed to make another fertility appointment...I was pregnant! 9 months later I was approaching my due date and worried I would have to be induced. I came in to see Betty again for a few sessions and felt very centered and relaxed after. I went into labor the next day and was able to delivery non medicated as I had hoped for! I'm sure there were a lot of things that contributed to successfully getting pregnant and going into labor, but I would like to think that accupuncture had something to do with it.
