Front desk lady was very polite and professional and even let us to leave our bags behind the counter since we arrived before checking in time (which is at 3pm). She explained the hotel policy and even mentioned that we can get 10% discount at a restaurant next door. The room itself was very clean and cozy. We got one queen bed room which also had a sofa when opened transforms to an extra bed. The room was divided into 2 separate spaces by a semi wall which makes the spaces a bit private. There are microwave, toaster, small coffee machine, mini fridge, set of plates, glasses and silverware plus a separate sink to wash the dishes. In the bathroom they use dispensers for shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and hand soup. And they do have beach towels in the rooms if you don't have your own. I really enjoyed staying in this hotel. If you are on a budget, it's a great option. I forgot to mention - the hotel is 1 min away from the beach and is very quiet after 10pm.

First of all, we want to say the staff was kind and accommodating. Our original room was a dungeon and they "upgraded " us at no charge. They really wanted to make sure we were taken care of and we greatly appreciate that! The pictures were a bit deceptive. Seemed like it was more than what they were. Room was good. Small, but adequate pool. They had a number of ice machines, which really helped. When we got there, one stairway to the upper floors was taped off for days. The elevator on our floor was out of service a number of the days including the day we left so we had to lug our luggage down the stairs. At 68 and though I am in great shape, it was really difficult. We would probably pass the next time we come.

We have stayed in 2 different suites and they have a TON of room for the kids to play and for us to relax. They are extremely clean and completely furnished. The owners are really nice and helpful! The owners are on site and keep their eyes peeled for anyone that doesn't belong there. The reason for the 3 stars is for 2 reasons : 1. The law was totally dirt with a smattering of weeds. The back had lots of dead plants. A little TLC would make this a standout. 2. The owner allowed dogs. The owner came in to the unit while we were not there and my dog was loose inside the house. I don't think it's proper to enter after it's rented. It was a bit creepy, and no telling if my dog would bolt out the door. Also, parking is limited. The one space is to the left of the cottage - there is a lot with two boats on the right side, but our friends were told not to park there even though it is their property. Not much overflow space. But perfect location to the beach - some really pretty sunsets.

The apartment is super clean and they have thoughtfully provided everything you can think of for the kitchen (towels,coffee filters, plates, wine glasses, spatulas, dish soap, sponge, etc). There are washer/dryers on the property, too. The beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of closet and drawer space for our stuff! The property is well situated on treasure island. We literally crossed the street and walked 3 minutes to the public access of the beach which is conveniently empty (there's no parking spaces for cars)!! A huge Publix is about 2 blocks away. We checked in on Thurs., Dec. 10th and stayed until Tues., Dec. 15th, coming into the Tampa area to witness and celebrate our daughter's graduation from USF. To begin with, checking in was a breeze, the grounds are incredibly clean and well-kept. The tropical foliage, palm trees and landscaping create this Utopian effect and you feel, well...relaxed. The resort houses approx. 35 - 45 condo-style units that give you a far better value than some of the competing hotels. I completely spaced taking pics of the interior while there but I can describe it as being fully furnished with stainless steel appliances, a breakfast dining area, 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and approx. 1000 sq ft. The master bdr features one of the most comfortable king size beds I've ever slept on and I woke up each morning, feeling entirely refreshed. I'm gonna need to know the brand and style of mattress that was, when you read this, Westwinds! The place was super clean, fully stocked with a variety of towels, spacious and had a nice layout to it. The wildlife surrounding the resort were also quite the sight to see, as were the multiple dolphin sightings at the rear of the resort. The pool was crystal clear, heated and very clean. The only issues we encountered were very minor and weigh nominally on this review. Our shower head seemed to have a mind of it's own by spraying multiple directions due to some hard water build up in the shower head jets. When I adjusted the water flow to a more powerful stream, it worked fine and I just had to adapt to a thinner, high-pressure stream. The other notable issue that may also require 10 mins of attention by the maintenance tech, would be to adjust or replace the toilet lever. In order to accomplish a full flush, the handle had to be held down for approx. 3 - 4 seconds, rather than a press and release. Lastly, in the front guest bedroom, the ceiling fan was off-camber and made a significant humming noise, no matter the speed. Once again...minor issues. The service provided to my family and I, by Leslie, was nothing short of wonderful. Leslie is the main property manager and seems to do it all on the grounds. She was awesome. So awesome, as a matter of fact, we took her down some homemade taco soup, prepared by my wife the evening before. We felt genuinely welcomed and valued the entire time we stayed. We will be back and we will be staying at Westwinds once more. This place was great!!! Thank you! SCORE: 4.5 STARS!!

Super clean and close to the beach...being only a couple blocks away. We love the amenities it has to offer as well....paddleboards, kayaks, shuffleboard etc. The pool and grounds are kept clean and are taken care of. The office is also helpful with anything you need. There is also a trolley stop right outside the resort which helps you get around the island.

Beachfront location and most rooms have a private balcony for your viewing pleasure. We've enjoyed our stays here, twice now. Several of the units are privately owned, either way, such a nice place to stay and relax. Location is key in choosing a vacation rental. At Belleair Beach Club, you're literally minutes from Clearwater, Indian Rocks Beach, St. Pete and Tampa. Just about anything you want to do is a short drive. Plenty of good eats in the area as well as nightlife activities. Only negative I have for this years trip is the slight eyesore of the massive pipeline spanning the beach with the ship sitting about a half mile offshore - but not to worry, they're just dredging to increase the size of the beach so it will be even bigger when we return!!

There is no office access. We saw multiple people trying to access the office, obviously it was not communicated to them that this is now a "no contact" facility. 2nd complaint- there were SEVERAL huge bags of laundry sitting outside on the patio of said "office" for days. 3rd complaint- the 4 people "on staff" who were of which no identification that they were employees until we saw them with brooms, mops, etc. They were extremely RUDE. In example, a larger heavy set man was there and we asked him to unlock the laundry room so we could do our laundry. He was very rude in his response and asked what we needed and if it was personal items or needing towels, we said personal items and he laughed and said "ok, well it should be open", not offering to open the doors for us after we just told him it was locked. So, we found the second employee on staff who was identified with a "maintenance" name tag, and asked him if he would open the laundry room for us, he kindly opened them for us. 4th complaint- there was another said employee that was not uniformed violently pushing the chairs in the patio and taking guests personal towels that were laid out on chairs to their laundry basket. He was also going up to guests who were eating and asking them if they were finished with their food. He was very rude to interact with and he was not professional in any manner, just as the heavy set gentleman. 5th complaint- MOLD. There was mold all on the inside of our shower and growing on the shower curtain (see photos). 6th complaint- This is the icing on top of the cake- our flight was scheduled to leave very early, so we had to get up and going around 3 am. Waking up and walking into the kitchen, there were not one, but TWO COCKROACHES crawling on the floor!!!! My phone was not with me and as soon as I moved to go grab my phone, they ran straight under the refrigerator. As if the complaints above weren't enough for us to ever return, the last complaint was. This establishment used to be so well ran and high class. All I can say is wow, we will never return to Belleair Beach Club. It was also communicated amongst other guests we had met there that they have been staying there for years and were also very disappointed in the way this establishment has went downhill very quickly.

The beach is only across the street and there is amazing coffee shop down the road. I loved that when you call the office, a real live person was there to answer questions. It's always staffed for anything you could want to ask. The only con i would say is the amount of smokers. Thankfully they were not allowed to smoke in the rooms but many did outside. There were plenty of chairs and things to take to the beach, as well as beach towels. I would highly recommend and we plan on coming back next year.
