I have been coming to this Guitar Center since I moved to south Florida in late May. The level of service here is impeccable even when they are absolutely swamped they still take the time to really listen to you & figure out what you need & how they can best help you. The guitar tech is very good. I was having a problem with the set up on my Fender Stratocaster & he knew immediately just by looking over the guitar what the problem was. He said that he usually has guitars that are in for set ups ready by the end of the day. Everywhere else I've taken my guitars for set ups it took them a few days to set up two guitars so I was pleasantly surprised when he told me he would have both guitars ready by the end of the day. Anyone who plays Guitar, Bass, Keyboards or Drums should be shopping here they have what you need. read more

The staff was very helpful and in-tune with my needs. They helped me get what I needed and got me out of there before the rain came

Cesar Duenas. I had a terrible experience with Guitar Center's drum lessons for my son. Communication was poor from day one and the classes were not what was promised or expected. The worst part was billing. I paid for the first month, and then they charged me for the next month in advance without clear authorization. I went to the store and spoke with the manager, Jason, to request a refund. Despite assurances, the refund never happened. After 14 days of waiting, I had to contact my bank to dispute the charge. Between the lack of communication, disappointing lessons, and the refusal to promptly return my money, this was a horrible experience that I wouldn't want anyone else to go through. I do not recommend this location at all. read more

Knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and very helpful. My experience with this location was very positive and I recommend it. The gentleman who assisted me knew way more about my guitars than I did! He knew the history, strengths, and potential weaknesses and helped guide me to purchasing my next guitar. I felt no pressure to buy a more expensive one, but truly felt I was given the right information for me to make an informed decision. read more

Great selection of all kinds of gear! Staff are friendly and knowledgeable! Great store for guitar lessons as well!

Great place for guitars, whether you are new to it or a veteran player. I have been going to this location for a few years. The staff has always been great. It is nice just to see some of the players go there and listen to them play. I have never been disappointed, read more

Wanted to get back to playing guitar after a 40 year absence .. just looking for entertaining myself .. my wife had bought me a guitar 15 years ago .. but I never played it because it didn't feel right .. she now understands that getting a guitar is a very personal decision based on how it feels in your hands. Anyways .. lots of folks talk bad about Guitar Center .. but I think they are the best of the best .. offering a huge selection of guitars, drums and other stringed instruments & music. They took in 2 guitars I had as trade, spent time with me to find that perfect guitar and guitar case, and it didn't cost me an arm & a leg. And I heard some awesome stories while I was there .. just ask whose mom went on a date with David Lee Roth!! They also give a Veteran discount, which saved my dime money. YOU FOLKS ROCK!! read more

This guitar Center was amazing very helpful. Employees are nice. Went in to get a cord. They exchanged it without a problem. Told me I had a lifetime warranty on it. No hassles if you ever need equipment at the tire center. It's a place to shop. read more

Guitar Center - Musical Instruments & Teachers Near Me - West Palm Beach, Florida

I bought my TakAmine acoustic electric from them 20 years ago. Let's just say the guitar is always in tune. Hardly ever have to tune it. It's a great piece of machinery. I've always done well there. read more

garbage service unless you're gonna drop a grand. Used gear was mislabeled so I couldn't tell what cost what. Clerks would walk off mid transaction to help other customers. Very poor service and indicative of a wider issue. I will never return to this guitar center even if I had plenty of cash to burn. read more

My son asked for a specific guitar that apparently was very popular and limited in availability. Their customer service found what seemed to be that last one in the USA in their W Palm Beach store. I happily placed the order asap and agreed to expidite the shipping to be sure I had it by Xmas. It turned out that while there was ONE left in North America, it was a display model. Tom called me from FL and advised that the display model did not meet their high quality standard and advised me that, if I could wait for the new shipment, a new in-the-box guitar would be coming in near NYEve and he would make sure it was expidited to me. A little disappointed that it wouldn't be under the tree but my son's birthday is in January so I was fine with the compromise. Well, it was a VERY Happy New Year in Philadephia when the guitar arrived first thing in the morning on NYEve!!! Customer Service is a dying art and it's more important than at-the-point-of-sale service. Guitar Center gets that!!! read more

My kind of candy store!! Great bunch of guys, Tom, is the manager. I traded my Yamaha c40 for a beautiful Cordoba c7, and love it. Thank you West Palm Beach Guitar Center! read more

I live in Georgia and needed a specific guitar for my husband in West Palm Beach and searched Guitar Center online. It initially showed stock but I called and they didn't have it in the showroom. Tom went out of his way to search the warehouse to find it for me. I know it's his job but he was polite, friendly and professional and I really appreciate that. Thank you Tom you made my day! read more

I have been a musician for most of my life and have been to countless GCs. This is hands down the worst one I have ever been too. Ignoring customers, rude, dismissive. Someday when GC closes all their stores and file for bankruptcy like Sears, Penny's, etc, it wasn't the coronavirus. It was your pathetic customer service and lack of care for people who were trying to put food on your table. Online shopping it is! Sweetwater.com for all your online needs. Ask for Paul. And no-I'm not going to forward this complaint. You can do that. You've wasted enough of my time. read more

Had a guitar set up. Adam is the Luthier. He did a great job. I will go here again and will recommend them.

worst service ever. why are they open. half the gear has no price in it. one person working the floor. 3 strikes your out. reverb. com best for gear. read more

Nothing in stock that is displayed. Drum department in complete disarray. Salesmen range from failed musicians that think they know better than you and down talk you or completely incompetent salesmen that don't know anything let alone know how to use a register. I'm not one to write things like this, but my last experience was just so infuriating. read more

Items are rarely in stock and the staff makes jokes after they waste your time. Stick with online ordering.

Terrible customer service, no information on the poor excuse of bass amps and cabinets. Went in there with a very well known national musician and was still given the cold shoulder... guess our money is not green or they pay their employees 5000$ an hour for them not to work. By far a terrible location and sour taste left on the representation of the company. read more

these guys are the best. needed a pair of audio technica headphones for the holidays. called in if they could hold the item for me and they most certainly did. got to the location with 2% on my phone and asked if they happened to have a charger. an awesome guy working offered his charger, such an awesome energy from these guys. definitely will come back to this specific guitar center location. glad they have people who care about their customers. read more

Employees are super helpful and they have an excellent selection. Not just for guitars, either. Love their music production section.

I recently purchased a new guitar the staff was pretty helpful in getting me set up I'm very happy with the purchase

Am the 45th customer this location has. from the grand opening to today I went to Guitar Center even though my interests had me often near Sam Ash as well as other music stores. Maybe the Bankruptcy issue is the issue but this is a company that is in shambles from inventory missing parts to what seems like a failed business plan. I would believe there is a commission standard there ,since they tried to get me to pay $36.00 for a $23.00 anywhere else set of D'Addario Bass Strings. Which I Paid but a search in my car showed me my rip off and i returned to have my AMEX credited for the return. I could blame a starved forced to work on commission salesman but I brought this Price Gouge to the attention of the manager that was doing my return and was met with silence and a leave my store attitude. Best to shop elsewhere or go online as it could be the Poor management at this location. I've made the last trip to this Guitar Center read more

Has basically everything you need. I got a classical guitar and it was for a good price and it is very vulnerable.

I don't know why I shop here, but I'm DONE! I must like to be abused. I bought a pedal here in November and used it once. We moved and I went to use it today - no luck. So I figured i would take it back. Most merchants will work with you and it was $140. So they checked it out and - it does not work. Guitar Center - out for themselves & not looking out for the customer. I was told too bad. Send it to the manufacturer. This is an example of why you do not do business with large companies. Any small music store would have replaced it. Thankfully Guitar Center won't be around long. I'm never going back. read more

Dressed in a shirt and tie. Walked around 30 minutes with out one person greeting me. An employee arguing over why he hasn't been on break since 4:00 ran into me while I looked at the guitars and he didn't even have the courtesy to say excuse me or can I help. Wow Sam Ash just proved to me they want my business. Terrible is an understatement. Besides I had to step over a homeless guy and a junkie to get in the door. Nice. read more

It's only right, that with the same vim and vigor that I used to write my negative review, that I now write a positive one, now that I can honestly say all is well. Someone from my local store, did reach out to me. After explaining why I was an unhappy customer, the gentleman explained to me that regardless of the price of guitar, the guitar will only come set up to the "standard" way of setting up guitar. So a $500 electric guitar, might get the same set up set a $5000 guitar would. That's where I had a disconnect. We agreed to disagree but it didn't matter. In the end, they ultimately did the right thing by me which is all I really cared about. We worked out a very fair deal in order for me to bring in several guitars, and get them properly set up. He did let me know in the future if I intend to spend that kind of money to buy a certain quality kind of guitar, that it's definitely worth it that I spend the extra money, whatever it might be to have it professionally set up, or properly set up to my liking. I also have to honestly admit, one of the guitars that I claimed the electronica did not work from the time of purchase, all I can tell you is what kind of a dumb ass buys a $4k guitar, to then only buy a knock off brand 9 V battery and wonder why it wasn't working. (Me) In closing, and most important, because this is what matters most, when reading a review...the first guitar I dropped off, for the guitar tech to work on, WOW....plays better than the 56 custom shop Fender Strat I have. Shout out to Ryan, the guitar tech, thank you. I love it. Now I'm like a kid in a candy store and I can't wait to bring him the rest of my guitars. read more

Customer service is so hit or miss. I spent over 30 minutes waiting for assistance and was sent to two different people and continued to be shrugged off. I ended up leaving with only half of the things I intended to pick up. Thanks for nothing. read more

I had received a guitar center gift card from a friend so I thought I would stop by for a guitar setup and strings for my acoustic. I payed for the strings but the employee at the register told me to wait after starting to put me in the system. After making sure I wasn't trying to setup a stolen guitar, he asked me if I would mind wait for a moment while he takes care of other costumers. I can understand why they would do that when there is a guy behind me that just wants some guitar picks, but I do other things I need to do. After checking out two more customers and not being helped, I spoke up and was told by the manager to go to the guitar tech so he could get me on their system in the computer. It turns out the guitar tech doesn't have a computer. After going back to the guy whom I was originally speaking to told me I would have to wait longer while he checked out new customers, I told him I was just going to take my guitar and leave. This was after about 20 minutes. I want to make this clear: I went into Guitar Center to buy strings and drop off my guitar. That's it. I also called to make sure the tech was in and that I could drop it off before I went. To top it all off on the way out I was obviously pissed off so another employee approached me as asked if I found everything I needed. I explained to him the situation and he told me "Well it's near the holidays so it's busy." I asked if I came back after Christmas if that would be better. His response: "I never said anything about Christmas. If you like go get something to eat and come back that might work." I won't be back. I'll rather drive the hour to Sam Ash or buy elsewhere. read more

Bought my son a guitar great customer service.. lots of patience..they know their instruments..

The guy helping us was so rude, we got there when there was no one there to trade in our instrument then he proceeded to help 4 other people that came in after us making us wait. Then he had the nerve to yell at us and tell us he can't help us so we left. Useless. read more

I called and they told me their would be someone there who could appraise and buy my guitar. Instead when I got there they gave me a load of baloney about there being something wrong with the neck (there isn't, I'm a professional guitar player) and they could not do anything for me until someone else was in tomorrow. They are con artists.... Don't do business with them. read more

We called this store to ask if they had acoustic guitar pickups and the person who answered the phone put me on hold to check; came back and quoted a price of 39.99. We drove about 20 minutes on the highway and when we got there, we asked for the pickup. The pickup was in a locked glass case. The employees kept us waiting for about 45 minutes for the manager to come over and walk away. She didn't say anything. We had to go to the front and find out what was going on. She told us that she did not have the combination to the lock on the case. She said she was waiting to find out. We waited again for another 20 minutes. The store was going to close and still no pickup. Finally we saw the manager and asked about the pickup. She replied that she had it. It would have been good to tell us that she had it because we were waiting for her near the case with the pickups. We finally go to the front to pay and the clerk quotes us a price that was $10 more. We told him that the tag says 39.99 in the case and we called and was told it was 39.99. He said that he would change the price after. He stood there and asked for the higher price. We said never mind. After the HORRIBLE customer service and having to wait so long; being quoted one price over the phone and seeing that price on a label in the case, they should have been more courteous and sold the item to us at the price that we were quoted. I need to add that we were very courteous and quiet. I am sure that other customers would have yelled and not handled this horrible service so well. read more

Worse professionalism and customer service I've ever experienced. I was charged full price for an item which should have been listed as a marked down item due to the obvious damage to the outside of the box not to mention the huge hole in the front of the box. I brought it to the store clerks attention and he made no attempts whatsoever to get a manager or mark the item down. And not only was I charged full price for a marked down item, but I was denied the 10% discount that's usually awarded to U.S. veterans. It's hard to believe that people who work for a company like Guitar Center can be so blatantly disrespectful and rude to a paying customer and still keep their jobs. I won't be doing business with Guitar Center anytime soon. And I'm certainly telling anyone that I know in the production business not to do any business with Guitar Center. read more

I purchased a guitar online that said was in-stock and ready for pick up today at the West Palm Beach location. Over a day goes by and I never get a confirmation e-mail to come pick it up...so I call the store and talk to a guy there...I give him my order number and he tells me that they have my order ready and I can come get it any time before 9pm. I drive over 18 miles to the store only to be told that it's not in-stock and the manager offers me a returned floor model instead that buzzed when you plugged it in. I refused, so the manager then tells me that he's going to order one and have it shipped in from another store. I get a phone call the next day from a customer service rep saying that the guitar would be available for pick up that day but was informed that this one too was a floor model "with possible imperfections but overall plays great". He said if I wanted a brand new guitar (which is what I ordered) then I'd probably have to wait another month or so before they get more in-stock. I ended up having them cancel my order, however they still have my paypal money on hold which I'm being told could take up to 5-7 days to be returned to me. This was the absolute worst buying experience I've ever had in my life and I definitely will never step foot in this store again. read more
