this is how Jay likes to insert new frets.

Do not take a guitar to be worked on to these people. DO NOT pay them to do a PLEK setup for your instrument. I paid them a LOT of money (too much for the going rate) to refret and PLEK my guitar. First try, they did not bother to clean the slots and left the crown of TWELVE of the frets just hanging in the air, wanting nothing to do with the surface of the fretboard. Second try, after I carefully explained to them how to prep a slot before slamming a fret in so hard that the tangs were even BENT inside the boards, they did not bother to raise the bridge and just slapped it into the PLEK machine and grinded off all the new frets down to the low fretless wonder-like old fret heights that was the ONLY REASON I PAID FOR NEW FRETS. I will be making a YouTube video with receipts of all the garbage they did to this vintage guitar. I contacted PLEK in Germany and the US rep agreed that this is awful. Jay refuses to do it correctly on a third try and even threatened to sue me and defend his reputation vigorously. All the emails will be in the YouTube video. Why do I have to give them one star? The deserve 0. Jay does not care anymore.

61 Gibson SG standard reissue. Perfect set up!

Hailey and Robert make me wish I lived on the east coast. Today I drove from the gulf coast about 280 miles round trip to purchase my gibson. I made a day of it. Sure I could have had it shipped. I made it an event. From when I first contacted Hailey via reverb I knew this was the guitar I wanted and the shop I wanted to work with. She was honest and accommodating. She's an excellent manager and made me very comfortable. The entire process was so easy. No head aches! Robert was personable and very knowledgeable. They have a very large and eclectic display of stringed instruments. I saw electric and acoustic guitars and banjos. There was probably more but I was there for my gibson. Nice blackstar amp offerings amongst many others. The guitar was immaculate and perfectly set up. I will definitely be using them in the future! Excellent people and products!!!

I first visited Leather and Art Memory Trees and was impressed how peaceful was the environment,…read moreand how kindly I was greeted. When I heard the story of Memory Trees Charity I knew I wanted to help. I still want to help. 100% of all profits from sales at MemoryTrees goes to the charity and benefits young people via apprenticeships and scholarships. The beautiful leather goods and musical instruments are all hand made by the people all over the world who learn the skills to make the products that is supported by Memory Trees! A complete circle of goodness! How wonderful! 1st visit , I purchased the owner's (with his wife Debbie and son Reese) autobiographical book,"Walking on Water", and read it that night. This is a life story of a man who rose from poverty to hosting a charity that actually gives a man and a woman a fishing pole... you know ... you don't just feed them fish... you teach them how to catch the fish. I knew I wanted to know more and help however I could. Next time I bought a beautiful handmade handbag. Next time I bought a handmade Ukulele! We have become friends. Rudi, the owner, was in finances and is helping me. The store is not only beautiful and well run, it is as I said an oasis I highly recommend . You will not be disappointed. Everything is beautifully handcrafted and displayed with care. There is a gallery of Debbie's lovely paintings of flowers and South Africa from where they hail. Last but not least is a gallery of paintings of every president from George Washington to Jimmy Carter by one artist with an interesting story of how this unique collection was obtained. Have fun and be sure to talk to the owners.

This charitable foundation's gift shop features handmade leather travel, fashion and work bags for everyday use, and handmade guitars made by inhouse and international luthiers. Each item in the store is unique... and one-of-a-kind. And they have a free, permanent exhibition of oil on canvas portraits of the first 39 presidents of the United States, Washington to Carter. The artworks were done by portrait US artist Lawrence Williams, who died after completion of the last painting (Carter). The portraits are displayed in antique, museum style frames.
