I had a genius idea. Let's get drunk! Oh wait, I meant a Guinness idea. This is the heart and soul of Ireland. It's a country that loves to drink and they love their rich dark deep brown ale and Guinness delivers for a lot of people. It's as famous around the world now as it is in Ireland. Here in Ireland, a lot of people prefer Harp and Ciders and other beverages, but in terms of a universal export nothing compares to this one. And Dublin is pretty much owned by Guinness.

The view from the top and of course is Guinness time any time

A MUST!!!!!! Guinness is the most popular beer in Ireland and the only beer I like. It is a heavy dark beer as well, but you have to try it this place. You will also have a tour and learn how this unique beer is made. They also have a huge store with Guinness merchandise that will make a nice gift for your family back home.

The bar is very crowded but that's expected. Great view of the city while drinking a fresh Guinness.

This was one of the best self-guided tours ive been on in awhile…read more Im a huge lover of guinness, and this has been on my bucket list for awhile - and it really blew me out of the park. When we first arrived, we were put into a queue (& I would suggest getting a reservation). We went through very quickly and were told a short snippet before the tour. Then we were free to explore. This entire tour really immersed you through the brewing process. I learned so much about my favorite beer! At one of the floors, youre able to smell the aromas, and then understand the best way to taste guinness, it was so fun! My favorite floor was the marketing or branding floor- I love the campaigns and backgrounds behind them. This was also great for various photo ops. You end out the tour on the 7th floor, at the bar. This gives you an entire 360 view of Dublin, and one you can only see with a ticket. You also get a free guinness (or other beer from them)! I loved this tour, all of the staff was great, and I will go every time im in Dublin!!

MUST make reservations before showing up. We tried visiting but they were at capacity for the day…read more We made reservations on line to visit the next day. You walk through a self guided tour which explains the process of making the beer and the origins of the company. You get a ticket for a beer of soft drink which can be redeemed at the top floor. Once you get there you can see the view of Dublin which is very nice, however it is crowded as hell so you may not find a seat to take in the view. The gift shop is very nice. We got quite a few souvenirs for the family.

We went to the Guiness brewery in Maryland in 2021 and have been wanting to go to the one in Dublin…read moresince then. My husband loves everything Guinness so in Oct of 2025 we made this plan real. There are timeslots to enter the brewery and everything is labeled well. We stood in line for our slot and the entry was smooth but once we were inside they completely forgot about us and let the next timeslot go first while everyone in our line just stood there not knowing what to do.. really sucky start if I'm being honest but it was all uphill from there. We went inside and it was a self tour where we were able to walk around at our own pace.. we had also booked the experience to have our picture printed over a pint of Guinness and I recommend that to everyone that comes here. We walked around every section, grabbed a pint and some food in the café and it was a perfect day. The whole experience once we were inside was smooth and fun with no hiccups. Definitely recommend coming here if you plan a trip to Dublin.

So if you're going to go, book the Connoisseur experience as soon as you've decide that you're going to Dublin. You get the full public experience plus 2 hours or so in a pub setting with a Guinness expert. It's quiet and fun: 16 people maximum. Several different beers to drink, plus s/he answers all your questions. Yes, it's crazy expensive but so much better than the crowds. While a factory tour would be better, this was a fun afternoon.
