Honestly, after the many many times I've been here and seeing the SMALL amount of reviews it has I feel I'm doing a disservice to not finally write one! A favorite bar of mine, although I mostly come for the food!! It's super nerdy decor wise, so it's right up my alley. They have a rotating selection of different cocktails based on what theme it is for the month, for example when Pokémon Legends Arceus released there were drinks themed after items in that game, same for Avatar (you get the jist) so I tend to come back at least once a month, with the rotating drinks they have rotating food, a couple or so dishes rotate out every now and then. I personally always go for the sweet potato tots! They have some lemon zest on top and are always seasoned perfectly and hot, they're my favorite to snack on while you play board games. Oh!!! That's right, I love this place because you can select a game to play out of the many they have on the wall for you, although I wish they'd replace some games due to A LOT of them having a lot of wear and tear. All the appetizers I've had are solid, the burgers are good and so is the brisket Mac n cheese, def recommend adding the add ons!!! If I want something lighter, get the wrap, it's always so delicious and I feel like it's a secret weapon here at this restaurant!!! And I wish I had a picture, but get, the, FUCKING CHEESE CAKE. Get it. Service is the only thing lacking when it's SUPER busy, if you come on a weekend, don't expect the most attentive service, it gets SLAMMED here, and I can always tell they're understaffed, so be patient! Fun place for cocktails. Had a daiquiri and their "razz berry". Both were yummy and not too strong. My brothers had the "hunt the wumpus" and said it was really strong. Guess it depends on the drink you order. The food menu is small but interesting. We ordered the sweet potato tots, so good! The jucy lucy also lived up to the name, very delicious. The house made chips that come with the burger are so light and crispy. Can't wait to try the other food items next time. The atmosphere is nice. It isnt too loud and they play good music, it was oldies when we were there. They also have a bunch of screens with different gaming live streams on cause it is an esports bar afterall, you kind of dont notice though cause it isnt in your face about it which I like. They also have a bunch of different board games and card games to choose from to play with your friends while you're having drinks. Randomly stumbled across this place (thanks to a Yelp search) last week after an event in the area and decided to check it out. It's a small-ish space when you walk in. A narrow setting that leads into a decent sized booth seating area. It's a gamer gastropub and by gamer I mean literally from board games (which they have a whole collection of to play and I so want to come back and do that) to screens all over that feature live action gaming. It's self seating and you grab a menu and order at the bar. Their menu is modest and not too many options available for vegetarians. We ordered the brisket mac and cheese and the chorizo tacos. I don't eat pork but my friends devoured the chorizo tacos and I had the mac and cheese, which really was incredible. The brisket is smoked and caramelized, giving it a touch of a crunch and sweet flavor with the rich cheese. They also carry Bundaberg ginger beer, one of my favorites, so I got to enjoy that for the night. Aesthetically, it's a simple spot. Clean and even their bathrooms are decent. There are two gender neutral restrooms available for customers. All in all, a good hangout for late nights in Uptown! read more

Love this place! Such a fun, chill, geeky atmosphere. The staff was super friendly and the drinks were great. I had the Chareau-dinger's Cat. I took off a star because the food was just awful. I had the brisket mac 'n' cheese, and my husband had the chicken tenders and sweet potato tots. I actually love bar food, so that was not the issue. A good basket of tots or mac 'n' cheese can be an almost religious experience. The food here was just not good. It was flavorless and tasted and felt like it had been frozen. Will definitely still come here, but just for drinks. read more

The vibe is just off, but it is new. It's not my scene. Video games were playing on the TV screens, and then video game music was on, at least while I was there. The drinks were pretty basic, and we did not try the food. I may be biased because I really liked what it was before. The bar is a nice classic bar that fits more like a library scene or Classic pub scene and doesn't go with a video game theme. It would be horrible to destroy such a nice bar, so I understand why they didn't make it more modern looking for their theme. I think they should get rid of the video game music and some of the tv screens. The Only type of bar that should have tv screens are sports bars. (In my opinion.) It's a bar that has puns as drinks and friendly bartenders who are willing to chat and make great recommendations! The place is huge, as you walk in you are immediately greeted by the bartenders and the bar. If you look at the right after coming in, you are greeted with a massive amount of new and old board and card games. I went to the back where it was much bigger and had booths and tables for people who were dining in. In order to order however, you had to go to the bar to place your orders and then sit back down to relax. We tried a few drinks and they were all very good and yummy, the food we chose was the most popular, the tots. Yum yum and yum! Would definitely go back to eat more of that! While sitting there, I noticed the tons of tvs all around the whole bar. The only thing they were showing at the time was just Twitch gamers gaming. I like coming here to play magic with my friends every Saturday and it's nice and spacious. My only concern are the workers at times because we had order some drinks and it took them 20 mins to notice we were ready to order and 30 mins to make 2 drinks... 2 drinks really? And no one checked up on us after that.. our waitress with curly hair did not even notice our waiting for our drinks the first time nor even checked up on us. The music wasn't too loud, so we were able to communicate verbally while playing a couple games. We brought one game and played one of their large selection, too. The food was pretty good, and the bartenders were very nice. We had a couple drinks, and I could see myself having one or two more if it were not just us two. The inside is decorated nicely, with conservative rich wood colors accented with bright illustrations from some classic Nintendo characters. We will definitely be back, though not on a Friday or Saturday, which the genteel bartender tells us are more crazy than the Sunday night we went. Guildhall is much nicer and amenable to gaming than a "nerd bar" we went to in Phoenix that was too loud and where the tables were just too cramped and uncomfortable. While the food at Guildhall wasn't amazing, it was good and most of what we ordered was garnished with interesting vegetables that were pretty and probably healthy. read more

Loved it! At first glance, it's well lit (for board games), not too noisy, and very clean. On closer inspection, it has two large gender neutral bathrooms, a fantastic staff, and a large selection of board games that run the gamut from two player abstract to multiple player dice games. You will find a game you like. On our first visit I had the Mac & Cheese with caramelized onion. This second time I had the Mediterranean Veggie Wrap with grilled chicken and their house made potato chips and the Piquillo Pepper Hummus and Pita as an appetizer. All the food has Ben great so far. Their selection of beer is well varied. Their specialty cocktails are excellent! My favorite so far is the Chareau-dinger's Cat which is made with house-infused strawberry gin.
