We knew it could be a challenge for our party of 9 on a Sunday afternoon, but everyone was game to try Guieb Cafe. Guieb Cafe is a family owned Hawaiian restaurant with its original location on the island of Oahu. They serve up "homestyle meals" that include local mix plates and brunch favorites. The restaurant was pretty full and the staff were kind enough to ask another party if they wouldn't mind moving to another table. (I did overhear the server mention to the table something about moving them away from the loud TV, but I definitely didn't realize he was serious about that part). They also hadn't received their food yet, which made it easier for the move. And as a result, there were able to put two tables together to accommodate us. Note: DO NOT SIT UNDER THE TV. It is beyond loud, especially if your back is against the wall. You absolutely cannot have any conversations at your table. (Apparently, I was yelling to compensate but didn't know it.) My family of four ordered: * Oxtail Soup $24 - The Husband initially planned on ordering something else and and saw this being offered. There aren't many restaurants in town offering oxtail soup, especially in the afternoon. It was good. * 8 oz Wagyu Patty Loco Moco $18 - The Little Gal ordered this and enjoyed it, but she did have leftovers. * Mauka & Makai Moco $22 - This is literally the wagyu patty loco, but with an added crab cake. The Little Guy actually had leftovers of this one and realized he should have skipped the crab cake. * Crab Cake Benedict $20 - I ordered mine with an arugula salad. It was generous and I ended up saving half of mine. Portions were good size, and we probably could have shared three savory dishes instead of ordering four for us. (Especially since three of the dishes had similar items in them.) Or perhaps we should have gone with one sweet dish, like the Ube Mascarpone Pancake/Waffle or Ube Haupia French Toast. Even the Filipino-inspired items like Bangsilog or Adobo Fried Rice Omelette with Lechon Kawaii sound exciting. Normally, we discuss what we are ordering so we could have planned better but it was so hard to talk at our table with the noise. My friend from Hawai'i was really impressed with the orchids on all the dishes. And was wondering where they get them from as almost every dish had one. Service was fine. I honestly think the noise level affected my dining experience. It was really hard to enjoy the meal when my ears were hurting from the loud music. I wanted to ask them to lower it, but they obviously knew it was an issue since they had mentioned it to the other party previously sitting at the table before us. 3.5 stars
Excited to share this hidden gem. We live near south point and this is totally worth the drive. We ordered chicken and waffles, ube French toast, and I got the 3 bite combo. Everything was made with extra TLC. I especially love that the food doesn't just look good, but it tastes incredible. Everyone is stuffed. Everyone is happy. We will be back!
This is a local spot with Hawaiian and Filipino dishes. I dig the island vibe of the place. Its nice and cozy. Our server Joseph was very good to check ingredients for our food allergy. I ordered Da 3-Bite feast which consists of a crab-cake benedict, ube pancakes, and wagyu moco. Looks small at first glance but it is a meal! All of it was really good! The Ube pancakes we're delicious and not too sweet. Just my vibe. I can't wait to come back and try the other items!
I came here just the other day for a quick meal. I like the fact that there is a steady set menu, but that there are also a small listing of specials. The items on the smaller menu tended to be a little bit less in cost. I ordered the corned beef and hash with eggs. My order came with rice. Unfortunately, my rice was cold and was beginning to have that kind of cold crust on the outside. You know, the kind that forms because the starch on the rice goes from hot to cold. That was a big bummer but I did not want to ask them to replace it. I was kind of in a rush. They offered twice at least to replace it and to take care of it, but no matter, I just didn't eat a lot of my rice. The vibe inside is very casual. They have some pretty awesome mural work. This is definitely a café where a lot of locals come, but also a lot of visitors. The large party that left the cafe just before I arrived looked like a big group of high school kids. It's nice to see young kids going out to eat and supporting their local restaurants and eateries. The waitresses were constantly wiping down tables and dining area space. That made me feel more confident about the cleanliness of this restaurant and the fact that they care about their patrons. Maybe next time I am in town I will stop in again and try something different. My corned beef and hash wasn't anything fancy or complicated. It was just down home food. It was a good final meal before I needed to head to the airport.
One of my favorites in the Vegas area. It's off strip and north of Chinatown in a small plaza. The wait can be a bit long. We came here on Saturday around 11am and there was a 30 minute wait. So we left and came back the next day around 1pm and there was no wait. It was about 110 outside and they had a swamp cooler inside that kept the temp down a bit, but it was super loud. If you want authentic Hawaiian food, this is the spot. My wife got the wagyu loco moco and I got the fried chicken. The wagyu was good and the gravy tasted really good. My fried chicken was a little dry, but the skin was fried perfectly and reminded me of chicken skin found in Filipino establishments. Will definitely come back here the next time I come back to Vegas.
Everything we ate was so delish! The presentation was 5/5, the taste was excellent, the service was exemplary! The staff was efficient and friendly. Although the place was not huge as expected but it sure worked for table of 14. I will definitely be back for more when I'm in town. I can't wait to try the oxtail soup
You def feel the ohana and aloha here. It gets busy on the weekends so don't come here hangry. Be warned, it's a pretty small restaurant with no room to wait so you're left standing outside. My party of four came by after peak lunch time and we only had to wait less than 8 minutes for a table. We placed our order with the friendly waitress and the food came relatively quick. We ordered the following: -Fitness Omelette: pesto, spinach, avocado, mozzarella cheese and egg whites. There was mushrooms included but I substitute that for red onions. It was the pesto that drew my attention....I love anything pesto! And wow, it worked so well with everything. It was delicious and I would hands down order this again. -Adobo Fried Rice Omelette w/lechon kawaii: husband enjoyed this a lot. Great portion too, very hearty. -Da 3-Bite Feast: a sampler portion of crab cake benedict, ube pancake and wagyu moco. One of the more popular items on the menu and we can see why. You get a bit of everything and the portion was just right (esp for those with a smaller appetite). -Wagyu Patty Loco Moco: sister always love a good loco moco and she was satisfied with this. Big portion, you'll have leftovers here. Overall, food presentation was appealing, service was friendly, entrees came out quick despite how busy they are, flavoring/seasoning was on point. All around very pleased and we will def be back.
Absolutely love their Hawaiian / Filipino food here! We arrived with a big group on a Tuesday afternoon around 1pm, and it wasn't crowded at all, though there were still a good amount of people but still plenty of spaced out seating. I think there was only 1 server and she was definitely hard at work. She was very efficient, took our orders, and even cleaned tables after. We ordered the Bangsilog, Da 3-Bite Feast, and oxtail soup. All 3 are big portions and shareable. The bangsilog includes diced tomatoes and onions on top of the banug fish. The bangus fish was perfectly crispy on the outside and came with a side of garlic fried rice. Da 3-Bite Feast is perfectly portioned to be shared between 2 people. It includes ube pancakes, crab cake benedict, and loco moco. All 3 tasted amazing! The ube pancakes were fluffy, the crab cake was perfectly crispy, and the loco moco was perfectly seasoned. The oxtail soup's oxtail wasn't as tender as other oxtails I've had, but the flavor was there. The broth tasted like a well seasoned pho. This has become on of my favorite places for Hawaiian/Filipino food.
Friendly staff welcomed us into their clean, moderately decorated space. Immediately transported back to Hawaii except you're in Vegas. Food was a good portion. We had leftovers between the two of us. The garlic rice was ono and the angry chicken was like a spicy mochiko chicken. Slightly sweet and spicy at the same time. Standout was the ube mochi pancake. It wasn't overly ube and just sweet enough. The wagyu loco moko and the crab cake benedict super yummy too.
Great service and wall art. Underwhelming food. 6/10 Friendly, helpful service and the food arrived pretty quickly. We got the following: - Adobo fried rice omelette - Ribeye steak with garlic rice Overall, both savory dishes were too salty. It was eggs, proteins and rice. No veggies beyond a garnish of raw green onions. The Adobo tasted like Chinese sausage (tender with good flavor.) The Ribeye had a good gravy sauce, but was a poor quality cut. Half of it was fat or tough tendon. Not a great eating experience. **Restrooms were nice enough.
LOVE this place! The service is so fast and excellent, the food is amazing! And don't let the outside fool you, the inside is beautiful and cozy, coming from a fellow islander. The vibes from the place and staff were great! I will DEFINITELY be coming back and I'll 1,000% recommend to my friends and family!
We had high hopes for this place, especially all delicious food posting on Yelp and social media. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to hype and the food was underwhelming. Atmosphere was lackluster. Loco Moco was okay. Quality of the burger patty was lacking. Coffee wasn't good. Garlic rice was too salty. Ube pancakes taste like store bought mix. 6oz ribeye was over seasoned with pepper. Thick piece of meat is more suitable for heavy peppering, but it was thin and small. On positive note, presentation on Da 3 bite feast was amazing. Service was quick and efficient.
Cool spot, so far the only location on the mainland. The food was authentic Island style & the service was good. We came in on a Saturday around Lunch so we were expecting it to be busy, which is it was. Luckily we only waited just a few minutes to be sat at our table. It's Summer, so it's hot but I couldn't tell if their AC was out or they were just so busy all the Woks in the kitchen were just heating up the space. Nonetheless, we enjoyed our food just the same. We'll be back to try the Filipino menu! Before placing your order, be sure to ask first what's "sold out." I know they sell out of the Prime Rib & other items pretty fast.

Guieb Cafe is now one of our favorite eateries in Las Vegas. Every time when we are on this side of town, we definitely have to dine in at Guieb Cafe. They provide both delicious fresh meals and excellent customer service. This eatery is very welcoming and has such a positive atmosphere. During our first visit we ordered Da 3 Bite Feast, Strawberry Red Velvet Pancake and Bangsilog. Da 3 Bite Feast is one of the locals favorites and one of the most popular items on their menu. It consists of crab cake benedict, ube pancake and wagyu moco. It's so good! You get a taste of everything that satisfies each and every taste bud. Crab cake was delightful. The ube pancake tasted how it's supposed to taste like ube and not taro. Wagyu moco was tender and flavorful. The Strawberry Red Velvet is soft and fluffy. It is covered with cheesecake and Guieb Cafe's homemade strawberry sauce. It's so good! It's not too sweet and the strawberry sauce compliments the cheesecake. Not tangy at all. Bangsilog is on point with the boneless milk fish, two eggs and garlic fried rice. The way they marinated the boneless milkfish, yummy. On our second visit we ordered the G6 Mix Plate, 8oz Wagyu Patty Loco Moco, Da 3 Bite Feast and Strawberry Red Velvet Pancake. The G6 Mix Plate pretty much has everything you want in a mix plate. It has the 6oz teriyaki ribeye, fried chicken, grilled mahi and spam served with rice or mash potatoes and seasonal vegetables or arugula salad. It's really fulfilling. The 8oz Wagyu Patty Loco Moco was thick served over a bed of rice and the gravy was savory and rich. It definitely had the flavors of meat broth and seasonings. Just like how you would want your Loco Moco when in Oahu. We've told all our social circles that frequent Las Vegas to check out Guieb Cafe. We can't want to come back and try other food items on their menu. read more

Came here for breakfast. Not a super fancy place. The menu had a decent selection. We ordered the sausage with egg and rice platter. It was delicious. The fried rice had such good garlic flavor. The sausage was nice and sweet. The sweet potatoes fries were pretty standard. The waffle we did not like. It was poi mochi waffle. We have had poi before and mochi waffles separately but together it tasted sour. We couldnt even finish it. It was such an off taste we werent sure if it was bad or something. We would definitely go back to try other stuff on the menu but we wouldnt order this waffle again unfortunately. The staff was friendly read more
I'm originally born and raised in Hawaii. It's crazy i've never been to the locations back home when I visit. I was so happy to find out they had one here. They offer Filipino & Hawaiian fusion dishes. I went to go check it out with my friend and his mom who are also from hawaii. I ordered their adobo fried rice omelette with the fried bangus which is milkfish. My friend ordered their prime rib loco moco and we opted to share the ube pancakes. They were all so good. Staff is super friendly as well. I will keep coming back. read more
Great spot for Hawaiian/Filipino brunch! Ordered the Da 3 Bite Feast, which was a great sampling of savory & sweet. The Wagyu moco was good but I'd say meat was a bit dry & could've used a bit more gravy. Crab cake benedict was tasty & I enjoyed that it came with avocado. The ube pancake was my favorite of the 3. It was fluffy & loved the mascarpone on top! My husband ordered the adobo fried rice omelette with lechon kawali. He enjoyed the crispness of the lechon& the fried rice was hearty. Service was very friendly. Definitely gets crowded so be prepared to wait if you come during prime brunch time! read more

Had brunch here on saturday. The wait wasn't bad at all around 20-30 minutes. There was plenty of parking. Once we were seated , we were greeted right away. Air conditioning was working, it was quite warm outside. Everything of the menu looked so good. Our server took our order at a very efficient time. Our food didn't take long neither. Plating was everything, it was beautiful. We ordered a stack of pancakes (delicious), a side of longanisa (perfect), and the 3 bite feast (mixed feelings). The 3 bite feast consisted of ube pancakes (so good, they know what they're doing), crab Benedict ( the crab cake had a perfect crunch, a little salty for my palette, the egg was made to perfection and the additional avocado and tomato was perfect), waygu loco moco (perfect egg, fluffy rice, super dry meat, couldn't finish it). Their table touches were on point. Even though they were super busy , I don't think they gave you enough time to need something because they were table touching. I will come back to try other things on the menu. read more

Just checked out Guieb Cafe in Las Vegas, a Hawaiian spot with Filipino dishes. Tried the Da 3 Bite Feast: ube pancakes, crab cake Benedict, and wagyu loco moco. Big portions, definitely made for sharing. read more
Had a longer wait for our big party, once we got inside it was not the AC we were hoping for. We all used our portable fans at the table cause it was still hot but that's Vegas in July I suppose... the food was definitely good and most people finished their entire plate. read more
Stopped by Memorial Day weekend Saturday morning and was about a 45 min wait, so we decided to order online through QR code posted at the door instead. Food was ready in 20 mins. Got the crab cake benedict w/ adobo fried rice (+$5). The crab cake was flavorful and poached eggs were runny and paired well w/ the creamy hollandaise. The adobo fried rice added a savory, garlic-y flavor that paired really well with everything too. It did get a little salty toward the end, but overall still tasty. Portion was enough to share too. Total was $28 w/ tax and card fee included. Will to come back and try more items on the menu! read more
The staff was so helpful when I was indecisive because everything looked so good! I've never had Filipino-Hawaiian fusion. I had my heart set on specific foods, but the staff swayed me, and that's okay. They know best. read more

Our group of four arrived around 10AM on a Thursday, hungry and excited to try Hawaiian/Filipino brunch! We arrived just in time to be seated before a long wait would have started. Together, we decided to split the Ube Mascarpone Pancakes. I personally ordered the 8oz Wagyu Loco Moco with a side of adobo fried rice for myself. We were so glad we split the pancakes as a group because it was a fairly large set of pancakes to consume. It was also THE BEST pancakes I have ever had. I wish I could have them again! The Loco Moco was amazing. It was a lot larger than I expected and it was quite filling. I was truly amazed by the fact that the adobo fried rice I swapped for was chicken adobo fried rice! There was definitely a good amount of protein in this plate. The service here is great. The food is amazing. We originally came to try the famous prime rib loco moco but as we were warned it was sold out. We were told to show up early and we didn't. I ordered the oxtail soup which had tender meat that fell off the bone with a side of rice. The only down side was that it was saltier for my taste. It was still edible and with the rice was able to lessen the saltiness. My wife had the longsilog which was the Filipino breakfast that featured longanisa, fried egg, and garlic rice. We loved the garlic rice with the runny egg and the longanisa had a nice sweet and savory flavor. This was definitely a hit. We added a side of the crispy fried chicken thigh because I was torn between that and the ox tail soup. The chicken skin was crispy and the meat tender inside. I would definitely come back to try some of the other dishes like the prime rib loco moco, ube pancakes, and the crispy chicken plate. read more
This cafe is quite small but the vibe and music makes you feel like a lazy Sunday. Its awesome in here! The service is awesome. My server was so nice ans she was such a pleasure to speak to! I got the trio plate as it came with their famous ube pancakes and the loco moco pattie. I really enjoyed the loco moco gravy. It hit the spot for me this morning. I also got the thigh chicken meat over waffles. I loved the crispy skin but wasnt feeling the sweetness. Also the chicken is very bland, but you can upgrade to a different flavor. Guieb Cafe in Las Vegas had some good moments, but overall it was just okay for me. The food came out very salty, which overpowered a lot of the flavors and made it hard to really enjoy the dishes as intended. There were parts that tasted good underneath, but the seasoning was just too heavy overall. The wait time was also quite long, even when it wasn't extremely busy, which made the experience feel a bit drawn out. Not a bad spot, but there's definitely room for improvement in both timing and consistency. read more

Guieb Cafe has that family-owned feel where you can tell they genuinely care about the food and the people walking through the door. It gets busy, and after eating here, it's easy to see why. We ordered the Da 3 Bite Feast and the Adobo Fried Rice Omelette. Every item was a winner. The ube pancakes were incredibly flavorful and fluffy with just the right amount of sweetness. The loco moco had a well-seasoned beef patty, perfectly cooked eggs, and plenty of rich, savory gravy over rice. The Adobo Fried Rice Omelette was packed with flavor, and the adobo was tender and satisfying. The atmosphere is cozy and casual. It's a small mom and pop restaurant with an open dining room and closely spaced tables, so it can get a little loud when it's busy. To me, that just added to the energy and made it feel like a place the locals love. If you're looking for generous portions, great Hawaiian comfort food, and some of the best ube dishes in Las Vegas, Guieb Cafe is absolutely worth the wait. read more
What a neighborhood gem. Nice deco like stepping into Hawaii. Great service, the waiter he was very attentive but not overbearing. I was seated right away even though my friends weren't there yet. That was nice. They have Hawaiian music playing which gives the place a good vibe! The food OMG so pretty. We were all impressed and full when we left . The presentation of the food shows care! I had never tried ube before so I had the pancakes and wow. I'd always been afraid It's purple lol So fantastic I've been missing out! Definitely a place we will repeat! read more
We decided to grab takeout from Guieb Cafe and bring breakfast back to the hotel -- and honestly, this spot feels like a hidden local favorite for island-style comfort food in Vegas. Ordering takeout was quick and easy, and everything traveled surprisingly well back to the hotel without losing quality. When picking up the food it was clean and spacious. From the outside you can't tell how nice it is inside because of the food wrapped windows. Star of the Show The Adobo Fried Rice Omelette is absolutely the reason to come here. Savory, comforting, and packed with flavor, it delivers that perfect balance of garlic fried rice and tender adobo goodness wrapped in eggs. Every bite felt satisfying and hearty -- the kind of breakfast you keep thinking about later. If it's your first visit, this is the must-order item. The Rest of the Spread We also tried: Corned Beef Hash Portuguese Sausage Both were solid, familiar breakfast staples. Nothing overly fancy, but dependable and filling -- exactly what you'd expect from classic breakfast plates. The pancakes were good, though definitely on the sweeter side. If you have a sweet tooth, you'll probably enjoy them even more than I did. Kid Approval Category The Poi Mochi Waffles ended up being more of a standard waffle experience for us. Not bad at all -- just not as unique as we expected. That said, the kids happily finished them, which is always a win when traveling. The haupia sauce leaned a bit watery for my taste and didn't add much coconut richness to the waffle. Overall, Guieb Cafe delivers comforting local-style breakfast flavors that hit especially well when you're in Vegas and craving something beyond the usual casino brunch options. Friday morning breakfast, small restaurant with 10-12 tables, full when we arrived but wait was around 15 minutes. Menu is various pancakes, waffles, and Hawaii/filipino inspired breakfast items. Food comes out fast, order adobo fried rice with Lechon, omelette and ube pancakes. Adobo fried rice had some chunks of pork and wrapped in an egg, lechon was crispy. Rice was salty. Omelette pretty standard filling on the inside. Ube pancakes were covered in a Ube sauce which makes the flavor, otherwise they are just purple pancakes but probably the best dish of the 3 Service was adequate, coffee was pretty bad. My daughter recommended this spot, so my hubby and I had breakfast here. The restaurant was super busy, and we waited about 30 minutes for a table. My hubby had the Bangsilog - fried boneless milkfish, garlic rice, and two eggs. I chose the Da-3-Bite Feast--perfect sampler that included a crab cake Benedict, an Ube pancake, and a Wagyu loco moco. It was a great way to experience all the local faves in one meal. Stopped by for breakfast and had the Da Three Bite combo which included loco moco, crab cake, and ube mascarpone pancakes. My wife got the 10 ounce prime loco moco. The food was delicious and the service was fast, super friendly, attentive, and family oriented. This place reminds me about being on the Hawaiian island but on the mainland. Will definitely be back again next time, and next time. read more

Wow absolutely delicious!! This is our first time here during breakfast and the servers were very attentive -- we didn't have to wait long to order and to receive the check. The vibe was nice and felt spacious. The food was great -- I ordered the loco moco fried rice, and the gravy was tooooo good. I also tried the ube beignet and that was yummy (and not too sweet) as well. We will be coming back!!! read more
We came on a Sunday around 1 and were seated right away. We ordered the Ribeye Plate and the Da 3 Bite Feast with adobo fried rice. Everything was really good and full of flavor. I liked that the Da 3 Bite Feast lets you try some of their popular dishes without having to order full portions. My favorite was definitely the pancakes. They were so good. The restaurant is really nice inside, and the music made the atmosphere even better. We would definitely come back. read more
