EP Granite And Marble - Bathroom counter top

EP Granite And Marble

I am so so grateful that I found EP Granite for our kitchen and laundry room renovation. This is a…read morevery big project for us with so many choices to make. I basically general contracted this job myself (NOT my day job) and I spoke with several granite installers to educate myself about how this part of the job should go and also to find the right fit for us. It turned out to be a very easy decision. Eduardo and Eddie are the absolute best. They are exceptionally easy to work with, reliable, responsive, communicative, friendly, and professional. They helped me navigate granite suppliers and patiently waited for me to find the perfect slabs. They didn't complicate matters and they didn't try to sell me things I didn't need. They helped me manage a design issue (Ok, I bought a 33" sink for a 33" cabinet ... I did mention this is NOT my day job, right?), but Eddie and his crew made it work beautifully. Most importantly, they did exactly what they said they were going to do, when they said they were going to do it. Exceptionally hard working, trustworthy and talented. To top it off, their prices are extremely reasonable. I don't know if I will ever do another job this big, but if I do, I will definitely return to EP Granite.

Eddie and his brother as well as his team were excellent to work with and prompt to respond to my…read morequestions. The granite selection was smaller but we got to pick two slabs we were interested in. What sold us was the price of the granite, installation, two sinks and seal, in both bathrooms was under $1000!!! Would recommend them if you are looking to save on your home improvement.

Let me start off by saying that this review is based on my experience only and may not reflect on…read morethe company as a whole. What experience I had may not be the same for someone else. Initially met and asked for a contract for a $130,000 remodel (including his $15,000 project management fee). Joseph (Joey) A. Mannarino said he doesn't do contracts but would sign one if I furnished one. Okay? Had to hire a law firm to draft up a remodeling contract, ate that expense. 3 months later, contract breached. Did not meet deadline. By the time I terminated the contract, it it was 77% complete at ~$155,000 (supposed to be 100% completion at $130,000). Exceeded budget by tens of thousands of dollars and did not even finish the job. Designed all of my cabinetry and ordered it without sending to me for approval. Tried to bill me for work not approved and work that they had to fix for their error. Installed the wrong marble in my bathroom and then gave me a referral to another contractor to fix it because they don't fix marble finishes. Had to pay that cost too. I would need to write a novel to explain all of the errors they made. Those are just the major ones. As a courtesy, I sent them same day or next day payments for $XX,XXX.XX. Eventually it got to an episode where they sent me an invoice, and 3-4 hours later sent me an email, text, and phone calls trying to find me to get a check. But the invoice always said due in 30 days. I eventually resorted to mailing them a check because I could not tolerate this type of unprofessionalism anymore. When I terminated the contract and fired them, I then asked them for the accounting to justify overages, the subcontractor lien waivers, and the final invoice as a condition to final payment. They held them hostage demanding more money, even after telling them they exceeded the contract maximum. To add more insult, when I asked for the final invoice for the third time, they decided to respond by filing a lien on my house. Yes, you read that correctly. They breached the contract, I fired them, they asked for more money even after exceeding the contract max, I asked for the final documents and invoice as a condition to final payment to close out the contract, and then they decide to file a lien on my house. I hired a law firm and there is now pending litigation which you can find publicly online: http://phoenix.lakecountyohio.gov/eservices/home.page.2. Also, they've been fighting very hard to get all of my reviews removed from the internet. On Home Advisor, they disputed my review to get it removed, and when I furnished the proof of documents to Home Advisor, they reinstated my review. TBF then publicly commented a reply and said, "We are very sorry a customer feels this way. We do everything we can for customers to have a positive experience. We have reached out to this customer to rectify any concerns they may have." They NEVER reached out to me to rectify any concerns after that review was posted. They also disputed my review on the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and said they don't have any records of doing business with me. Firenza Stone "does not have any record of doing business with me" even though I bought $40,000 worth of materials from their showroom in Willoughby though right? I live in an upscale area that is home to many professionals. I was very surprised to hear that many of them have already been told by others of their experiences with TBF. I wish I had had the opportunity to speak with my neighbors before buying my house in Ohio and immediately handing the keys to TBF to remodel it before I moved in. To date, I have not heard from them. This is how they treated me after spending over $100,000 cash with them.

My wife and I were referred to Store with Style by our neighbors. When we contacted the store,…read morethey were immediately very friendly and helpful. Tony came out did the measurements, sent us a mock-up, and invited us back to the store showroom. There was no sales push just great discussion with Tony and his wife Kathy on what was best for our master bedroom closet. We made a deposit, set up a time, and their sons came out and did the install in two hours. They very friendly, explained everything, used drop clothes, washed all the new shelving, and vacuumed. This is one old fashioned down-to-earth family owned business. I strongly recommend them for any of your cabinetry and shelving needs. They are reasonably priced and a pleasure to work with. As soon as you walk into their shop you're greeted with a smile and that went a long way with me. They work with you to come up with a design and also work around your budget. I always received a prompt response, and no matter the question, they took time to explain things I didn't understand. Every installer that came into our home was professional, courteous, and did excellent work. We're already looking for more rooms to update and would recommend them to anyone.
