This restaurant is new so it's all shiny and new with great menu options. My miso ramen tasted great and was very savory. My chashu pork was chopped which threw me off because I'm used to the thinly sliced pork. The gyoza were cooked perfectly as well. Decent drink lineup if you want some Asian inspired drinks to go with your food. Overall a decent amount of noodles with toppings for the broth, but I think the extra toppings can get a little pricey. Closest to authentic Japanese ramen in my local area in comparison to some other local spots

The thing that stood out to me the most about this place was the decor. It's so beautiful and fun! I especially loved the floating lanterns on the ceiling. The service was fantastic. The staff greeted us right at the door and our waiter walked us through the menu since it was our first time. They checked on us often and made sure our drinks stayed full, which I really appreciated. Our food came out super quick, which was awesome. We didn't have to wait long at all and everything arrived hot a fresh. The food was decent. I loved the pork gyoza, it was cooked perfectly and ended up being my favorite thing I tried. My boyfriend got the ramen and wasn't a big fan of the woodear mushrooms, but that could just be a personal preference. I ordered the chicken hibachi, and while the veggies were cooked great, the chicken was a little too chewy for my liking.

I was excited to check it out new ramen place, little pricey for ramen. Restaurant very clean, good customer service. I ordered Gugu style - sub minced pork to chashu. Broth is very good, but not in level spicy We will be back.

We had an amazing dinner tonight at this new Japanese restaurant in Papillion, NE next! The ambiance was warm and inviting, with beautiful décor that really captured the authentic feel of Japan. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. We ordered the steak and chicken skewers--both were perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The ramen came delicious. Oh by the way don't forget to pair your meal with a boba or sweet drink (we had fruit and lychee one) so refreshing --it's the perfect finishing touch. Highly recommend giving this place a try!

Went in for their grand opening and my oh my was it worth the wait!! My husband and I ordered the tonkotsu ramen, but I got mine upgraded and spicy. This was our first meal of the day so we had a big appetite and also ordered a variety of appetizers. We ordered their crispy wings. Those came with the sauce and dry seasoning on the side. We got the beef skewers and takoyaki as well. They even have boba!! The food was delicious, service was fast, and the prices were fare for what you get. We are definitely coming again to try out all the dishes on their menu.

Food was yummy and came out super quick! Good place for the kiddos or for a casual date night. The ramen broth was rich and delicious. The staff was attentive and kind.

They have lots of ramen options on the menu, all customizable spice level and the option to add extra ingredients. There was a little wait time, but it was a Friday night around 7pm, so not surprising. The service was awesome! Our server answered all our questions and was quick with orders and refills on drinks. We started with Thai Tea and it was delicious! I love boba and the sweetness of the tea was a perfect combination with the pearls. For my main entree I had the Spicy Hokkaido spice level 3 and it was perfect! I wanted spicy, but not so hot I was hurting. 3 was great for me. They use chili oil, gochujang, and habanero for level 3 so it packs a punch! The overall flavor was delicious with a spicy finish to each bite, especially the broth. We ended with a complementary fried oreo which was as awesome as it sounds. The vibe in Hokkaido is very nostalgic with throwback tunes on the radio and lots of cartoon & anime characters incorporated in the decor. It's a really fun spot and we will definitely be back soon!

I could not taste the tea due to the overpowering milk, and the tapioca was somewhat hard and didn't seem cooked properly. The Ramen itself was delicious, however. You can choose your own broth, meat, toppings, spicy level, etc. The Tonkotsu Shoyu broth tastes rich and flavorful.

Be prepared to wait for your food. Good ramen is made to order, so it is not immediately served. If the restaurant is busy, be prepared to wait even longer, but it is worth the wait. The price is incredibly reasonable considering lower quality ramen in the Omaha area is charging upwards of $17 dollars a bowl. The Kara-Age is delicious, and even the spicy tuna roll (a guilty pleasure of mine) is good. The Ambiance is simple and clean. I would recommend it to anyone wanting quality ramen without all the Anime themes and dusty Tchotchkes littering every wall.

We've gone with friends and on our own and there's always been a table ready pretty quickly and servers ready to get our orders. We recently went to dinner here and we were both hungry and eager for some Ramen. I ordered the Blackstone Tonk with an egg and my boyfriend ordered the Spicy Miso with extra noodles. The broth for mine was rich, flavorful, and warm. The pork was perfectly tender and the egg added texture and more flavor for me. My boyfriend is always happy with a little spicy heat in his meals and he was pleased with his choice. He may have added a little more spice but that's just because he's evolved his tastebuds to handle it. Anytime we decide to come to this Ika I know that the food and service will be consistent. The servers are always on point in checking on you, our waters were refilled a few times, and they never seem like they are rushing us out the door. On a different note, I also appreciate the decor and atmosphere in this location. The old brick walls and open space feels as though, and there probably is, a lot of history within the walls. Tucked away down an alley, this location is easy to miss but absolutely worth a try!

The ambiance of this ramen joint is very fun and colorful, with plenty of diversified seating for all parties, fun graffitied walls, and upbeat music. The vibe was great and I see why it is a go-to for my teen brother and his friends, since it is a very casual but enjoyable experience. The service was initially pretty slow, but picked up after we ordered. It took a moment for us to be seated but there were only two servers for a Friday night, so we were not necessarily in a rush. However, after being seated, it did take a moment for us to get our orders taken. Luckily our server brought our meal out super quickly after ordering, so we were pleased. I started with the pork belly steamed buns, which were very soft, fluffy, and flavorful. My brother warned me that the ramen bowls are huge and very filling, and he was correct. Neither of us finished them completely but we both brought home leftovers. I chose to get Niku Odon and it was amazing. The egg, beef, and thick noodles were such a filling and delicious combination, and although I was initially hesitant because of the high prices, the serving size made it worth every cent. I will absolutely be back to Ika San, and my brother knew what he was doing recommending it!

They have different sizes of noodles you can choose, and the menu says they make the noodles in-house! There are different rice bowls, poke bowls, and ramen, so a variety of carbs to fill and fuel you up. The thin ramen noodles were great. I wish they used fresh garlic instead of the packaged pre-minced stuff packed in preservatives, but it wasn't outside my expectations. The cilantro was super fresh, yum. The takoyaki was nice and pancakey-soft (no bonito, though). The crispy rice appetizers with spicy tuna were similar to what I've experienced at other sushi/Asian restaurants. I liked the shredded green onions on everything, too, but if you don't like that, definitely say something about it when you order, because it was on everything! Lol There were a couple screens with different anime going, and it was pretty quiet when we went. It's a big space, though, and I can imagine it gets nicely noisy when full. Our server Stephanie was on top of it! I enjoyed seeing the way she took care not just of us, but the other few tables around. Very friendly and accommodating. Her capable service was a huge part of what made this meal so restorative. All in all, a satisfying and refreshing meal. Thank you. We'll keep Mr. Squid's Ramen (Ika=squid, "san"=Mr.) in mind when we're in the area needing sustenance!
